Worrying saps your spirit of joy, love, happiness and sometimes leads you to stress, heart attack and even suicide. it causes people to get old quicker, grow gray hair before time, even die before time. In Luke 10:41-42,And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.” Worry is fear of the unknown, unexpected and  unplanned, but ,I must, let you know, that worrying is not of God.His word clearly states that,He did not give us the spirit of fear, which only leads to worrying and timidity, but of power, love, and a sound mind. (2 timothy 1:7). If you surround yourself with people who always worry, then you are on a destructive path which leads you into depression and force you into making bad choices and decisions, that’s not conducive to Godly living. Now this is where I can introduce you to God, and the power of His might, the fulfilment of His promises, and the joys of putting your trust and confidence in a God who cares, loves, and adores you.

All you need to do is, ‘Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him;because He cares for you’ (1 Peter 5:6-7). So why worry? Listen in Jesus you will have peace of mind ,and sweet serenity, there is no place on earth,or in any person that, you will find total tranquility.Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee;He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved ( Psalms 55:22).It’s amazing, how our faith, hope, and trust is tested when trouble comes, even when we are told not to worry or be anxious about our lives, when Philippians 4:6-7 clearly says,”Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus”. And Matthew 6:25-34 says,
“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
We must face reality, and know that,we can do absolutely nothing, without God,He sustains us daily, keeps us safe from harm and danger;that’s why when people brag about their accomplishments, their education, their job, their house, and exclude God,it rubs me the wrong way, because without God you are nothing. So if you think you don’t need Him when that pain or disaster hit, don’t call on Him,then when you die and go to hell,it will be too late then.Listen ,being dependant on God,does not make you weak, its magnifying his strength, and recognizing, that He is God all by Himself. He does not need help, but we do,He does not want anything, but we do.We can’t add or subtract to our lives, but He can.God wants us to focus on Him,think about Him,glorify Him ,worship Him,praise Him,thank Him,and leave the rest up to Him.do you want to know Him,then go to the top of this blog, click on to the salvation page, then follow the instructions,it will be the best thing you ever did.I give the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, all the glory, praise, thanks, and honor for using me to deliver His message to His people,I pray it was a blessing to you,as it was to me.

The enemy is after your mind, because he knows that once he is in control of it,you will self destruct. The mind is a battlefield, and if you allow the enemy to be in charge of it,he will plant seeds of doubt, fear, lies, disbelief, and every negative things,in order to render you useless and unproductive. Allow God to cultivate your more mind.
“The mind is a terrible thing to waste!” is the slogan for the United Negro College Fund. The mind is an intricate part of the body because it has the ability to reason, understand, and perceive many things. Some people like to play mind games with others who they believe are less intellectual than they are but this is a trick from satan. Keep in mind that God does not play mind games. 2 Corinthians 1:20 tells us that, ” for all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in him. That is why we say ‘Amen’ when we give glory to God through Christ”.

In Isaiah 26:3 we read that, “the Lord will keep us in perfect peace, whoevers mind stays on Him(God) because we trust in him”. The Bible also tells us this; rejoice in the Lord always…be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus(Philippians 4:4-7).

The first and greatest commandment, Jesus said, is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind (Matthew 22:37-38). Our mind is a constant battlefield between good and evil and the apostle Paul says it best,(NIV)

“I do not understand what I do, for what I want to do, I do not do, but what I hate I do, and if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good; as it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. But I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members, what a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God, through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in the sinful nature a slave to sin.” (Romans 7:15-25)

The King James version says it like this in (v.25),‘with our minds we serve the law of God but with flesh the law of sin’.

We must not allow sin to get into our minds! To prevent that from happening our thoughts should be thinking of Philippians 4:8 which states; ‘We should focus on whatever things are true, noble, just, pure, lovely and of good report. These are the things we should be meditating on or thinking about’. Saints this is how God keeps us in perfect peace, by meditating on his word day and night. Only through his word will we delight ourselves.

Listen children of God, do not let yourself get to the point of losing your mind before you change your mind. God gives us the spirit of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7), therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, any comfort of love, any fellowship of the spirit, any affection and mercy then ‘fulfill his joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord and of one mind. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus…’ (Philippians 2:1-11).

Would you like to have a sound mind? Go to the top of this blog, click on to the salvation page then follow the instructions. All praises, glory, honor and thanks go to God. The only King of kings and Lord of lords who will always be now and forever more. Thank you lord for enabling me to get your message to your people. May His grace, love, peace, joy and mercies occupy your mind until his son Jesus Christ returns, Amen.

Why wait till you hit the bottom to seek God? Why not make Jesus, your first option instead of your last? It’s always when people are at an intersection or cross-roads between a rock and a hard place, that they know who Jesus is,and try to seek Him. It’s the only time, they call on Him day and night, that’s the time they get spiritual and start to sing blessed assurance Jesus is mine, and that’s the time you will have to repent from your sins, then accept and believe on Jesus Christ, before God can truly help you.

Assurance is a positive declaration intended to give confidence. It is also a pledge  or guarantee made by someone; but times have changed, and people have changed and the meanings have escape clauses in them. For example; marriage used to be the ultimate assurance that only death will separate a man and a woman who God has joined  together in holy matrimony, but that has changed. Politicians promise to bring changes to the community, and when they get in nothing changes.

People used to have the assurance that when a door is closed, God will open a window, that allows us to climb out, without a scratch, bruise or blemish. What has happened to our confidence in our God who owns the universe, and everything in it? How easily we forget that Philippians 4:19 tells us that, “My God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” In 1 Peter 5:7, His word tells us to cast all our care on Him, because He cares for us.

How did we ever allow the devil to implant doubt and fear in our minds, when God clearly tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7 that, He (God) never gives us the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. So now that you realize that fear is a spirit from the devil get rid of it, cast it out, rebuke it, and bind it in the Name of Jesus Christ, and loose power, love, and a sound mind.

I could fill this blog with assurance scriptures, but if you don’t read them, meditate on them, exercise or put them into practice what good is it. It’s like someone gives you a million dollars, and you never spend it, because you either forget that you have it, you just don’t know how to spend it, or what to do with it, so you just sit on it while you are hungry and in need.

Listen, it’s time to accept God’s positive declarations in the Bible, which assure us of His promises. For example: eternal life (1 John 2:25), He will add everything we need if we seek Him first (Matthew 6:33), He will direct our paths, if we acknowledge Him(Proverbs 3 :5-6), He will never leave or forsake me (Hebrew 13:5, James 1:5), nothing or no one can separate me from His love(Romans 8:38-39).Wow! This is exciting, and the Bible is full of assurances.

Thank God for His word that informs us of our assurances through His son Jesus Christ. Do you have this assurance? What are you waiting for ? Do you want it? It’s already paid for by God’s son (Jesus Christ) His ultimate gift to us. So just go to the top of this blog, click on to the salvation page, and follow the instructions, and for further studies and information, go to www.riversofrevival.com.

Update. I’m Back!

I was out for awhile because the enemy will try to derail, steal, kill and destroy the call on our lives, but fear cannot cripple love, shatter hope, eradicate faith, steal peace, or destroy trust. Fear cannot assasinate friendship, close out memories, shut up courage, or invade the soul, nor can it quench the Spirit, or take our power. Why? Because 2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and a sound mind.”
Luke 10:19 says, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57).

Activate your faith not your fear. So that you can move the mountain of anything that’s contrary to God’s word. Matthew 17:20

I’m back and better than before!

New York was spared the massive destruction of hurricane Irene because God found some righteous saints whose effectual fervent prayers availed much (James 5:16). What is absolutely amazing is how soon people forget the devastation that could have happened if hurricane Irene had treated New York like how hurricane Katrina treated New Orleans and the other states.

Instead of people singing how “great is thy faithfulness Lord unto us”, they are busy complaining about what was closed, how they missed work for nothing, and what was cancelled, instead of just praising and thanking God for His grace and mercies which brought us through. How quickly they forget the effects of past hurricanes of that magnitude.

These are the same people who went to the supermarkets and every store they could find that sold flashlights, candles, battery’s, and water in abundance, that the regular shopper or customers were not able to get. These same people were worried, scared, and running for higher ground. Some even prayed and acknowledged that there is a God when they didn’t do so before the storm. Now that it is gone, they are back to their old sinful, hurtful, and dirty ways.

These are the folks that 2 Timothy 3:5 tells us that they, “having a form of Godliness, but denying the power there of; from such turn away”. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if New york and the other states don’t get their act together, the next time will not be so easy. When gay rights movements have more rights than the Church of the living God something is wrong. When gay marriages is top priority for law makers, then the reenactment of Sodom and Gomorrah is on its way (Genesis 19). How soon we seem to forget that story.

I am not bragging but I slept like a baby through the whole hurricane, because I know whom I believe in (2 Timothy 1:12); and He kept me in perfect peace, because my mind was on Him (Isaiah 26:3, Philippians 4:7). I was not fearful, because He did not give me a spirit of fear, but of love, power, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). If  God never slumbers and sleep (Psalm 121:3) what am I staying awake for?

Would you like to experience this kind of confidence in the God of the universe? Just go to the top of this blog, click on to the salvation page, and follow the instructions.

All praises, glory, honor, and thanks go to the King Eternal, Immortal, Invisible, the only wise God for using me to share His message with His people. May you receive spiritual insight as you seek Him. May His grace and mercies be yours now and forever in Jesus’ name, amen.
