Is there anyone in the world that is just good? Someone that you think the world of, that is unbeatable, un-matchable, just simply irresistible, and lovable like God is? When you think of the goodness of Jesus and all that He has done for us we should not be able to contain ourselves, but just shout, “Hallelujah! Thank you Lord for saving me.” Do you realize what God has done for us? Allow me to refresh your memory and tell you.

After He wakes us up, He leads us in the path of righteousness for His name sake, we read this in Psalms 23:3. If you are not satisfied with that then read Psalms 103:4,which reminds us that it is God who redeems our life from destruction, and He did not stop during the redemptive process, He then crowns us with loving kindness and tender mercies; on top of that He satisfies our mouth with good things, so much that our youth is renewed like the eagles. Now that’s the reason I look young for my age. It’s not what I did, it’s what God did.

Romans 11:33-36 says it better than I can,”Oh, what a wonderful God we have! How great are His riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand His decisions and His methods! For who can know what the Lord is thinking? Who knows enough to be His counselor? and who could ever give so much that He (God) would have to pay it back.” No one can beat or top God in giving, no matter how hard they try. Ok tell me who ever gave up their only begotten son to die so that others might live, deposit that in your memory bank it’s worth more than money.

One thing we must be mindful of and always remember is that everything comes from God, and everything exist by His power, His will, and is intended for His glory. Yes, we were made to glorify God and no one else. God’s gifts and His call are irrevocable. It is without repentance. He does not change His mind and He is never sorry after he gives it; maybe disappointed in the recipients behavior, but never sorry. Now just imagine if God should take back His gifts like His only begotten son (Jesus) then we all would perish ( John 3:16-17) yet we take His gifts for granted.

Can we repay God for His gifts? No. But all He wants is for us to accept His son Jesus Christ, and believe that He raised Him from the dead (Hebrews 11:19). After that it gets a little tougher because, Romans 12:1-2 tells us what we must do, it reads,”I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies as a living sacrifice, Holy, and acceptable to God which is your reasonable service, and be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.”

Motel Six says in their commercial that, “They will leave the light on for you” so that you can see them near and far. However, long before Motel Six came into existence, God’s light has always been on. He is always available to us, always has time for us, will always love us, and always have rooms for us. It was never in God’s plans for anyone to perish, but that all should come to repentance, and He is never slack concerning His promises (2 Peter 3:9). So how come we see Motel Six’s lights, which will go out when there is a power failure,but the light that never goes out,the light of the world, people fail to see?

The people who walk in darkness have seen a great light; they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. Isaiah 9:2 was referring to the region beyond the Jordan at that time, but if we take a look around us we will see that many people around the world are walking in darkness. Malachi 4:2 tells us, “But to you who fear my name, the Sun of righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings…”

In John 8:12 Jesus said, “I am the light of the world, he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” Which light would you rather see and follow? Motel Six or Jesus who is the true, authentic light of the world? 2 Timothy 1:10 tells us that THE LIGHT WAS MANIFESTED  BY THE APPEARING OF OUR SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.

There are those who rebel against the light, they do not know its ways, nor abide in its path. The murderer rises with the light, he kills the poor and needy, and in the night he is like a thief. The eye of the adulterer waits for the twilight, saying, no eye will see me, and he disguises his face…( Read Job 24:13-17). I wonder how many of us have done wrong, and believe that the things we’ve done is a big secret. Yet failing to realize that God never slumbers or sleep; therefore He sees everything. When are you going to see the light, and come out of the darkness?

“…God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His (God’s) Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.”           —————————————————1 John 1:5-10

There is no such thing as a bad day. Why people entertain those negative thoughts is just frustrating. Why do you allow the devil to plant bad thoughts in your mind when all good and perfect gifts are from God. He didn’t make a bad day, so why are you cultivating and harbouring bad thoughts in your subconsciousness? Why are you calling down bad things on yourself; be careful what you wish for. So what if you get up late; at least you got up, someone somewhere didn’t, so you are one of the blessed ones.

One song says, “Rainy days and Mondays always get me down,” that is totally ridiculous, because the Bible tells us in Psalms 118:24, “This is the day which the Lord  has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it” So why aren’t you glad, happy, and ecstatic you’ve lived to see this day, why ruin it with negative thoughts and feelings. Start rejoicing, singing, and dancing, everyday is a celebration of life, which is a gift from God. Did you thank Him for allowing you to see this day, before you started complaining and murmuring?

Have you ever stopped to think that when you are running late or traffic is backed up, that God is delaying you from a bigger disaster. How many people who were late for work on September 11, 2001 and are alive to talk about it. Romans 8:28 tells us, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.” God has a purpose for everyone. His plans are for us to prosper, and not be harmed, to have hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). So why are you allowing the devil to feed you his garbage, to suppress your joy.

Who or what you have your mind on will determine the course of your day. Seeking God first will always start your day off on the right  path, because He will keep you in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him, just because you trust Him (Isaiah 26:3). And to confirm all this Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, not to be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your request be made known unto God, and the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Whenever the thoughts of a bad day pops-up in your mind, just read and memorize Philippians 4:8, “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things” As Christians we should not follow the ungodly, by supporting these statements(In example: “I’m having a bad day.”). Instead, we should rejoice in the Lord always ( Philippians 4:4).

If you are not a believer in God or His son Jesus Christ this will be difficult for you, but you can change all that by accepting God’s gift of His only begotten son Jesus Christ, who came and died for our sins, and was raised up from the dead by God, so that we can have everlasting life, and a closer relationship with our Creator. Old folks used to say that the way to a mans heart is through his stomach. To me that only applies to those who are greedy and those who want the whole package and more. Now, I am not an expert on the way to a mans heart, considering I am a man but one fact I am sure of is that the only way to God is through Jesus Christ, His only begotten son. Whether you believe it or not it is not my concern, but it is a fact and it is the truth.

Driving on the streets of life, the highways and by-ways, the majority of us follow the ONE WAY signs so it should be easy on the highway to heaven, our ONE WAY sign is John 14:6, which reads,”Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father (God) except through me.” Lets look at this from the point of view of Matthew. Matthew 11:25-27 says, “At that time Jesus answered and said, ‘I thank you, Father (God), Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them unto babes,” was Jesus talking about you? Are you so smart that you can’t believe that He is the way? The truth and eternal life?

Verse 26 of Matthew 11 tells us, “Even so Father for it seems good in your sight; All things have been delivered to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son (Jesus) wills to reveal Him.” God who sees your heart and your mind also knows what path you are currently on. Are you still drinking, smoking, having sex outside of marriage, lying, or stealing….then you are either heading to the wrong road or you are already on it.

Lets allow Jesus to lead the way, show the way and pave the way so we can follow Him ALL the way. No it’s not an easy road but we are fortunate enough to not have to travel alone. We have apostles, prophets, evangelist, pastors and teachers to edify, build, and encourage each other along the way traveling with us. When Jesus returns we will be unified and perfect, without spots, blemishes or wrinkles. Jesus tells us that “He will never leave or forsake us” (Hebrew 13:5). May I ask who you are traveling with? Is it Jesus? You better be sure because He (Jesus) is the only one who knows the way.

“Seeing then that we have a great high Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need”(Hebrews 4:14-16).

Who are you? Who do you represent and what do you call yourself? Catholic, Presbyterian, Anglican, Methodist, Baptist, just to name a few. I have a question to ask you, aren’t we all Christians serving the one true and living God? Why do we label ourselves and confuse the unbeliever? Why do we allow the devil to divide us when Jesus’ purpose is to unify us? Why do we criticize each other instead of helping and loving each other? Who is the enemy, the devil or our sisters and brothers in Christ?

Ephesians 4:4-7 tells us this,

“There is one body, and one spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in us all; but to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s  gift.”

Are you hiding behind a manmade denomination or group instead of being known as a child of God or a Christian? We all need to realize that there is no denominations in heaven or hell because you are either a sinner or a saint.The devil rejoices when we fight against each other. He rejoices when we don’t seek the truth about God who is the creator of the universe. We need to stop following mans guidelines instead of God’s. Jesus tells us in John 5:37-45,

 “And the Father Himself, who has sent me, has testified of me, you have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form. But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom he sent, Him you do not believe. You search the scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life. I do not receive honor from men. But I know you, that you do not have the love of God in you. I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive. How can you believe, who receive honor from one another and do no seek the honor that comes from the only God? Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you…For if you believe Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?”

Have you figured out who you represent? Do you represent God and His only begotten son Jesus Christ or someone else? The choice is always ours but you must come to understand that there is only one way to God and that’s through Jesus Christ. It is not through religiosity, denominationalism or any other means. The song exclaims Why….Should….I Feel…. Discouraged? Yes why should you when you know within your entire being that the redeemer lives. You know who your father is and without a shadow of doubt you should be living up to His standards according to His will, His word and His principles. So I ask again, why should you feel discouraged, disheartened or dis-combobulated. Have you forgotten His promises and His words in the Bible? Do not be afraid of sudden terror, nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes… (Proverbs 3:25).Be encouraged not discouraged because God’s word tells us to be strong, be of good courage and not to be afraid, because He (God) is with us and He will never leave or forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6). Jesus confirms it in Hebrews 13:5. Luke 12:4-5 says this;

“..My friends be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more they can do; But I will show you whom you should fear, fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell, yes I say unto you fear Him.”

Being discouraged is doubting God. Isaiah 43:1-3 tells us,

“But now, thus says the Lord who created you O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel; fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name, you are mine, when you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they shall not overflow, when you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you, for I am the Lord your God, The Holy one of Israel, your savior…”

God is still the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrew 1:9-12 & Hebrews 13:8). His promises have not changed, and even though his children may change, but His promises stay the same.Who have you been listening to? What report have you been receiving? Stop looking in different directions and look up to the hills from whence cometh your help, it comes from the Lord who make the heavens and the earth and He will not suffer thy foot to be moved. He does not slumber nor sleep, the Lord is your keeper, He will preserve you from all evil, He will preserve your soul, also your going out and coming in, from this time forth, and even forevermore ( Psalm 121:1-8), read it and meditate on it because in trying times this is what you need.

The God we serve is never slack concerning His promises as stated in 2 Peter 3:9. We must also know that it is impossible for God to lie (Hebrews 6:18) and to know that God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent; hath He said, and shall He not do it? or hath He spoken, and He not make it good (Numbers 23:19). Listen if you are feeling discouraged it is because you are not reading, meditating and believing in the word. Which god are you relying on? The one in the world or the One who made the world?

There are many promises in the Bible that are encouraging and uplifting. Try finding them and standing on them in faith. But I must deposit this one into your system: Psalms 31:14-18 says

“But as for me, I trust in you, O Lord. I say, you are my God, my times are in your hand, deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from those who persecute me; make your face shine upon your servant, save me for your mercy’s sake, do not let me be ashamed, o Lord for I have called upon you; let the wicked be ashamed let them be silent in the grave; let the lying lips be put to silence, which speak insolent things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.”

Can you say a prayer like that with confidence, knowing that you are living righteously and Holy so the God you serve will be faithful to His promises? If you can’t or you don’t know God then allow me to introduce you to Him through His only begotten son Jesus Christ, who is the only way to Him. Would you give up your job for God? Would you give up your luxurious or flamboyant life-style, your spouse, your family or even your friends for God? Think about it what wouldn’t  you give up for a chance at EVERLASTING life? Ok yes, you work hard for it (whatever your it may be), but will you or can you take it with you when you die? Now let me ask you this, do you work as hard to save your soul? Matthew 16:26 tells us,”For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”

Life consists not in the abundance of the things you own or have (Luke 12:15). Are you contented with what you have or do you still crave more. If you still crave more at a stage where you should and can be content then that’s covetousness. Coveting the things of the world instead of the God who created all things is idolatry. One of His commandments are not to put any other gods before Him (Exodus 20:1-6). If you prefer to do your work, socializing, shopping, etc. over what God wants you to do, then it has replaced God from being first in your life. Examine yourselves. Who or what are you putting before God? Are you willing to give up everything and sacrifice anything that’s contrary to His word for Him? Life wasn’t meant to be easy but these are tough questions you should try to answer.

Jesus Christ gave His life so that we can have eternal life that is God’s gift to us (John 3:16, Romans 6:23). What are you willing to give up for Jesus Christ? Most people have a lot to give up like sexual immoralities (eg. pornography, un-marital sex, fornication), drinking, partying with the devil, smoking, love of money, to name a few but why is it so hard to sacrifice and totally give up the devils things for someone who sacrificed it all, paid it all, and gave it all for us. Are the things of the world so enjoyable that someone would rather die and burn than give it up? Trust me the things of the world are not worth the sacrifice of not having eternal life.

The only way to eternal life is through God’s gift of His son. After we accept Him and believe that God raised Him from the dead then the next step is to present our bodies as  a living sacrifice, Holy and acceptable, unto God which is our reasonable service (Romans 12:1-2). This means giving up un-godly things. Think about the things you do, would you still be able to do it in the presence of God? It is an honor and a privilege to be in the presence of our father, do not stain it.

Jesus tells us in John 12:25-26 that,

“He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world, will keep it for eternal life; If anyone serves me, let him follow me, and where I am, there my servant will be also, if anyone serves me, him my Father will honor.”

Why labor for things that perish instead of everlasting life? According to John 6:27.

My friends please do not let anything or anyone get in the way or between you and God. Allow Him to complete your life. Will you accept Him today? Why people choose to be bombarded with the issues of this world daily,and constantly just don’t make any sence;when there is a place of quiet rest,tranquility,and serenity that could occupy our minds;a place where we go to be at peace,sometimes we are in situations where we can’t go to a place of comfort,but we can formulate a place in our hearts and minds where it relaxes,and comforts us in stressful,and complex circumstances.

He that dwell in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the almighty. All you need to realize and say aloud is, “God is my refuge and my fortress, and I will trust Him; Surely He shall deliver me from the snare of the fowler, and the perilous pestilence; He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge;His truth will always be your shield and buckler,” it tells you all this in Psalms 91.

There is more. Psalm 91 also says, you shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday, because a thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand;but it shall not come near you. Because you make God your refuge, your most High, and your dwelling place, you will have comfort, peace, joy, and a whole lot more.

Listen folks, stop putting your trust in people, the government, the economy and put it in the God of the universe, the most High God, the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, who is from everlasting to everlasting. Andre crouch song says it best,”I have many pains and sorrows, many questions for tomorrow, sometimes you don’t even know right from wrong, but if you never had a problem, you would never know that God could solve it, and you would never know what faith in His word could do, but through it all you learn to depend and trust on His word.”

Why would anyone want to be burdened down with problems is beyond me. When all you have to do is go to God and give it all to Him. 1 Peter 5;7 tells us to cast all our cares upon Him. That’s one of the comforts you get from being in His arms, don’t you want to be stress free? Problem free? And burden free? Then you must accept God’s gift of His only begotten son Jesus Christ and believe that God raised Him from the dead. When the word wisdom is separated, you get the true meaning of the word, which categorizes people as wise or dumb. Where you fall or choose to fall is entirely up to the individual. Can you get wisdom from a university? Does a persons degree measure or display how wise they are? Do your decisions or choices in life display your wisdom? People who the world look up to as wise, like doctors, lawyers, and presidents all make mistakes that is detrimental to others and themselves.

The dictionary says, wisdom is knowledge of what is true or right coupled with good judgment. The Bible says in Jeremiah 8:9 that when you reject God’s word you also reject Godly wisdom. Is this the reason why so many people fall under the dumb (dom) instead of the wise (wis) in wisdom; because they reject Godly wisdom? Remember folks, 1 Corinthians 3:19 says, “For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God, for it is written, ‘He catches the wise in their own craftiness,’ and again,’The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise that they are futile.”‘

Solomon one of the wisest men ever, tells us in Proverbs 1:7  that, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instructions.” How many have us has fallen into the foolish or dumb category, because we weren’t wise enough to trust God with all our heart, and lean not to our own understanding, but just acknowledge Him (God) in all our ways so that He (God) can direct our paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). As a matter of fact the whole book of Proverbs speaks about wisdom as it pertains to life.

Lets backup to Proverbs 1:2-5 which tells us, “To know wisdom and instruction, to perceive the words of understanding, to receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, judgment, and equity; to give prudence to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion; a wise man will hear and increase learning, and a man of understanding will attain wise counsel.” Do you want to be wise and not dumb? Only fools despise wisdom, which category do you fall under?

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind… (James 1: 5-8). I have seen presidents, people with masters degree, even Ph.D’s mess up, because  they don’t have the wisdom from above which is pure (James 3:17).

 Don’t you want to make the right decisions in life? Then try God through His son Jesus Christ. How? It’s simple.

Where is it found in the Bible that God tells us to have dominion over each other? In Genesis 1:26 said, “Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” Humans don’t creep and if they do it’s for the wrong reason and the wrong guy or gal. Where is it found that He gave us the authority to hate, kill, or destroy each other instead of loving each other?

 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us that God did not give us the spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. Therefore anything and everything that is contrary to God’s gift of power, love, and a sound mind is of the devil, and we should throw it away or cast it out. The God of the universe is a God of love. From the creation of the world, the moon, stars, and the flowers all display His excellent taste in things; you can tell He makes things beautiful and perfect.

This tells us that bitterness, hatred, and all kinds of evil is of the devil. The devil is bitter and hateful, because he got kicked out of heaven (Luke 10:18), without any hope or chance to return. That is the reason my friends why he hates us so much. Every time he looks at us it makes him sick, bitter, and mean because we were made in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26). Unfortunately we inherit a sinful nature, because of Adam and Eves disobedience in the garden (Genesis 3). Which led to our demise in dominion and power.

God gave us dominion and power, the devil stole it. But God loves us so much, He sent His only begotten son Jesus Christ to save us, reclaim, and redeem what is rightfully ours. No God did not send Jesus to condemn us ( John 3:16-17). Jesus came, died, and was raised up by God our Father(Ephesians 1:20). On His way up, He asked the devil where is his sting, and his victory. It tell us this in 1 Corinthians 15:55-57, “O death, where is thy sting? O grave where, is thy victory…”

People you need to understand that when Jesus came, it was not only to save us but to give us back the dominion and power the devil stole from us through Adam and Eve. That we will have dominion and power to survive until He comes. Listen, He took the keys of the kingdom of heaven that we lost and gave it back to us (Matthew 16:19) and He didn’t stop there; in Luke 10:19 He said, “Behold I (Jesus) give unto you power to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

Children of God, we got back dominion and power through Jesus Christ lets start acting like it. Lets start exercising our rights, lets unite and put the devil in his place. It’s time to make a stand, it’s time to stop living defeated, and powerless, lets show the devil who our God is. Sorry if you are not a Christian living righteously, you have no power, dominion or authority over nothing. But you can change all that, right now. Don’t allow the devil to steal anything else from you.
