SHOULD WE QUESTION GOD

We must realize that God is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. Therefore, it’s not wise to question His judgement or acts because He sees the future and He knows the directions everyone will take, even every good and bad decision we will ever make. That’s why He tells us to trust Him and acknowledge Him in all our ways so He can direct our paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). Furthermore, God knows the plans He has for us because He knew  of them before we were  born (Jeremiah 1:5) and He said the steps of a good man are ordered by Him (Psalm 37:23). Then, Jeremiah 10:23 lets us know that it’s not in man to direct his steps, Proverbs 12:2 lets us know that a good man obtaineth favor.

Why would anyone want to question God? The enemy, starting from Adam and Eve, has deceived us into thinking that it is okay. But when we question God it shows a lack of trust, it increases doubt, which then leads to murmuring and complaining. When we doubt, mistrust  and lose confidence in God, His answer to us is in Jeremiah 10:10-14 and Job 38:1-39. In Jeremiah 10:10-14, He reminds us that He is the true and living God, an everlasting King, and at His wrath the earth will tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide in His indignation. In verse 14 He allows us the privilege of seeing that every man is stupid, brutish or primitive in His knowledge; so who are we to question Him who made us in His image and likeness(Genesis 1:26). In looking at Luke 10:19, we see God did not give us the power nor authority to question Him, that power given to us is to put the enemy down, not God. Then in Job 38, after Job questioned God, He answered and said, Who is it that questions my wisdom with such ignorant words? So brace yourself because He has some questions of His own. The first of them was, where were you when God laid the foundations of the earth and everything else?

Questioning God brings out doubts and fears. In Isaiah 43, God tells us not to fear because He has redeemed us and calls us by name. So, we belong to Him and he will be with us through everything because he is our God and Savior. Job 38:17 tells us that we were created for His glory and not His shame. So, questioning Him allows the devil to gloat because he succeeded in planting doubt. Still, we must remember that in Hebrews 13:5-6 God promises never to leave us nor forsake us.

Don’t allow disappointments, hurt, pain, doubt and fear to question God’s call. Just remember that He is the God of the universe who is sovereign, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent and He is our Creator who is reliable and can be trusted.

We should always be praising and thanking God instead of questioning.

All glory, honor, praise and thanks go to God for using me to deliver this message. I pray that He will give all who read this message the spiritual gifts necessary to comprehend and act upon His word. I exercise my power and authority in the name of Jesus to bind every tactic of the enemy that will try to stop, hinder, or prevent this word from reaching its intended people. I ask the Lord to loose the Holy Spirit and the Heavenly angels to secure this word so that it reaches its intended people, according to Matthew 16:19 and Luke 10:19 in the omnipotent name of Jesus, Amen.

1 Timothy 2:1-6

“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.”

INTERCEEDING FOR THE SAINTS

Prayer is one of the best things you can do for a person, because it allows God access to work on behalf of the person. We are all under attack from the enemy, so it is always good to know that prayers are going up for you from all angles. It is like reinforcement or special forces coming to aid or assist you.

I always find it comforting to pray for others because if I am under attack daily, it means that my brothers and sisters in Christ somewhere over the globe need prayers going up for them as well. These prayers, from righteous men and women of God, attack the forces of the enemy and cripples him, so that we can exercise our victory as conquerors through Christ Jesus.

It’s also good to pray for those who are going through tough times, because you’ll never know when it will be you who will be in need of prayer to lift you out of your crisis.

Like Paul, we need to be rescued and delivered from the people around us who don’t believe in God, nor want to serve Him.

In your crisis you may not see people praying but they are. Plus, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are also praying for the saints of God. So no matter what, God has your back and He has you covered, so that He can move on your behalf. Therefore, no matter what, we must always remember that Jesus is praying and interceding for us (John 17:9, 15-26).

Jesus prays that God will keep us from the evil one, and we will be sanctified by His truth in the word of God. He prayed for future believers like us and those to come, that we will be like Him in unity and on one accord. Then Hebrews 7:25 says, therefore, He is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since he always lives to make intercession for us. Read also Romans 8:34 and 1 John 2:1.

The Holy Spirit also intercedes for us according to God’s will; Romans 8:26, 27. “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities:for we know not what we should pray for as we ought:but the Spirit itself maketh intercession with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches our hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is because he makes intercession for the saints according to God’s will.”

JESUS SAID, “FOLLOW ME.”

John 21:15-19 “So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdest thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not. This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.”

Jesus asked Peter if he loved Him three times and Peter answered Him, as the omniscient God who can read minds and thoughts of the heart, Peter said, “You know I love you.” Jesus never doubted that Peter loved Him but He wanted to make a point. That if you love Him, then do as (He) Jesus did and feed His people with spiritual food, by telling them about Jesus and what He did for us.

Peter became upset at Jesus for repeating the question like older people or people with Alzheimer’s disease do. However, Jesus did it three times because Peter didn’t get the point Jesus was trying to make. Jesus knew Peter’s mind was in grief, regret, and disappointment (because of rejecting Jesus three times earlier),  yet thankful he was accepted and forgiven by Jesus.

Jesus knew He had to ascend because it was time for Him to go up and sit at the right hand of God the Father. So He didn’t have time to spoon feed Peter on what He (Jesus) wants His disciples to do. Which is feed the sheep, and to disregard past failures and disappointments. Therefore, Jesus had to ask Peter if he loved Him three times for the point to sink in, because Peter, though smart and brave, was also tough-headed.

Peter was asked three times to conceal his denial of Jesus three times. Jesus’ questions were Peter’s confession of love for Him; which resulted in the restoration of Peter ( John 21).

God wants to use us when we are young and can point the way to Jesus as John 21:18 is trying to tell us; young folks can go wherever and do whatever, but when you are old someone has to move you around. While we are young He wants us to be true disciples or Christians and tell others about Him and Calvary.

John chapter 21 verse 19 shows us that Jesus died glorifying God by being obedient to death, and also by loving, praying, and forgiving; Jesus’ last instruction in John 21:19 was to follow Him.

Pastors and Bishops are not to act as lords over their congregation, but to be an example to them as Christ was to His disciples (1 Peter 5:2-3). Their focus is to feed and care for the congregation.

God didn’t throw us away when Adam sinned, He sent Jesus to redeem and improve us so that we will be able to follow Jesus or refuse and follow the devil to hell.

BLOCKAGE BECAUSE OF IMPURITY

Your unconfessed sins will prevent God from moving on your behalf. The sad thing about it is that we are ready to do something that is life threatening for something we are supposed to have the victory over, we may even find ourselves defeated, busted and disgusted. That’s why it’s good to know the people you hang out with and who is associated with you, because you may end up in or on the path of God’s wrath towards them. Remember the rain falls on the just and the unjust alike (Matthew 5:45), the difference is God will deliver the righteous.

As David said in Psalm 37:25, “He’s been young and old and have never seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.” But when someone sins, God will not move on their behalf as we see in Joshua 7:1. You can’t be unfaithful to God in any area of your life that’s why our motto is Romans 12:1-2 and our example is Jesus (John 14:6). Total obedience to God and His commands, instructions, judgements and statutes is what God requires from us in order for Him to answer our prayers.

Joshua and the children of Israel were so accustomed to victory, that defeat came as a surprise and drove fear into them, but Joshua chapter 7 verse 6 shows that they knew who their God was, and when defeat came they went to Him, because they knew something had to be wrong.

To defeat the enemy as Joshua 7:12b – 13 shows us, we have to destroy and get rid of anyone or anything that God does not like and sanctify ourselves. So for your prayers to be answered, confession and sanctification must take place.

No matter what, as Numbers 32:23 says, Be sure your sins will not find you out.

Confession ensures forgiveness. Hidden sins done in secret will eventually be exposed and cause great damage and defeats.

Would you like to repent of the sins you have committed? Then pray to God right now. In doing so, go to the top of this blog and visit the Salvation page to receive Jesus into your life.

MOVE ON

Why would anyone hold on to bad memories and reopen scars or wounds that should have been healed? These memories should disappear like the person or persons in them. They have moved on and they are enjoying themselves without a thought of you, so why are you clogging up your brain with that mess? Use it as a message to yourself never to go down that road again. So what if they broke your heart, used and abused you, at least you are not dead, and you have an opportunity to  rewrite the story of your life for the better. Unfortunately most people don’t know when it’s time to move on, and let things go. It’s time to wake up, and realize that  you can’t change the past, but your future you can change because experience teaches you valuable lessons, that text books or schools don’t teach.

Why would people decide to suffer the abuse and pain others have cause them instead of moving on to bigger and better things. The same thing goes for preaching and teaching God’s word; if people refuse to listen or change, then you have to move on to others who will listen, and are interested in knowing the truth. In Acts 17:32-33, Paul was trying to educate the people in Athens about Jesus; but instead of listening, they mocked and threatened Paul, so Paul departed from among them. Sometimes in life no matter how you preach or try to educate a person, about God’s truth and righteousness through his only begotten Son, they will resist the truth, and then hate you.

When people move on, it is either for better or worse, good or bad, righteousness or unrighteousness. One road leads to heaven and the other leads to hell, no matter what the choice and decision is, it is theirs to decide. Most of the time things happen to change our life for the better and redirect our paths to God, unfortunately some move closer to the devil and his things of the world. However, the wise move closer to God, because He never leaves or forsakes us, and because He is our helper, we will not fear what people will do to us as Hebrew 13:5-6 tells us. The apostle Paul’s advise on moving on in Philippians 3:13 – 14 is the best, it says, “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended; but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press towards the mark of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

Are you ready to move on? What are you moving to? Move to Jesus today, discover the love and peace He has for you! Visit the Salvation prayer page to get started.

For the believer, are you holding on to things that take away the peace you have in Christ? If so, let it go. Continue to press forward in the Lord and remember Philippians 3:13-14.

THINGS YOU DON’T DO

When you dine with people of influence, consider diligently or carefully what is before you. If you are a greedy person, put a cap on your appetite and don’t desire their food because there is deception involved. Just be very careful of what folks who have authority (because of riches on earth) are offering you because it is not sincere and full of deception or ulterior motives. Just remember Proverbs 3:5 & 6; in all your ways acknowledge God and He will direct your path.

The reason why most people fall into problems and sleep around with other people to get ahead or get things is because of greed and covetousness. Which leads or opens doors to sins. That’s why Proverbs 23:4-5 tells us not to overwork ourselves to get rich because we think it’s wise, because when we set our eyes on things which do not satisfy, it leads to sin and the desire. James 1:14 & 15 says, “But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.” A rapper once stated about life, “get rich or die trying” but if you live by this the only place you are trying to get to is Hell.

Proverbs 23 verse 5 tells us that riches make themselves wings, and fly away like an eagle toward Heaven.

Don’t eat from people who are evil and don’t desire their delicacies, for whatever they think in their hearts, that’s what they are(Read Proverbs 23:6-8). So, if he is evil his heart will only generate evil things. Psalm 1:1 tells us not to walk in the counsel of the ungodly and as a Godly person you will vomit it up because it is contaminated. God tells us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship has light with darkness?(Read 2 Corinthians 6:14-18) If you lay down in a bed of feces, you will get up smelling stink, if you hang out in the sewer you will start smelling like the sewer.

Don’t speak to a fool, for he will despise the wisdom of your words, and instead of taking it as good, sound and solid advice they will think you mean them harm.

As Psalm 37 tells us so does Proverbs 23:17-18 don’t worry or envy sinners for their time is limited just concentrate and meditate on fearing the Lord and obeying Him, because your hope in God and heaven will not be cut off.

CLEAN INSIDE AND OUT

Are you filled with the Holy Spirit of God or hypocrisy, lawlessness, greed, and self-indulgence like your ancestors known as scribes, Pharisees, and hypocrites? Because God considers you as serpents, and a generation of vipers; who will not escape the damnation of Hell (Matthew 23:32).

The problem with today’s society is that some people who profess to be Christians can not be distinguished between the ones that are not, because they do the right things for show publicly yet they are far from God. Matthew 23:23-31 describes them perfectly for us; It says,

“Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous, And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.”

They claim to be tithers, yet they tithe only on the smallest part of their income and ignore important things like justice, mercy and faith. They tithe little because they don’t want to give support for the poor, nor show mercy for them, yet they want God to justify and be merciful to them. Above all where is their faith and trust in God, because, He said if you give sparingly you will reap the same (2 Corinthians 9:6). He said give and it shall be given unto you, good measure pressed down and shaken together (Luke 6:38).

God considers folks who are stingy with tithes and offerings as blind as the unbeliever because they are careful and mindful of the little things of sin while doing the bigger things, as the Bible says in Matthew 23 verse 24 they are blind guides who strain the water in order not to swallow a gnat, but swallow a camel instead.

This is the reason why the body of Christ will be judged first, to eliminate the hypocrites who like a cup, looks good outside, but are dirty inside. They dress up and look nice for church services, yet they are full of greed, lust and all kinds of evil. But God wants the church to be spotless and without blemish inside and out.

Woe to you, God says, who are like a well painted tomb on the outside, but is full of dead bones and all manner of impurities. Are you one of these people God describes as a false prophet, who teaches religious laws, but don’t practice them. That’s why the Bible says, “to be doers of the word and not hearers only.”- James 1:22

Micah 6:8 tells us that the Lord requires us to do justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with God. Then Romans 12:1-2, tells us to present our bodies to God as living sacrifices.

Allow God to transform you inside and out. If you have become a new creature in Christ, old things should pass away and everything should become new.

Serve God in spirit and in truth, ask God to search you and cleanse you from all sin.

If you want to be a new creature in Christ I invite you to visit the Salvation Prayer page above to receive Jesus into you life and to confess that Jesus is Lord.

DELIVERANCE IS HERE

When David was delivered from his enemies, he knew it was God who answered his prayers, so he immediately started to praise God. David knew how and what it felt like to be oppressed and depressed and he knew his help and deliverance could only come from God. The same way David was delivered, will be the same way you will be delivered; God wants us to thank Him better than David did in Psalm 18:1-18.

David confessed his undying love for God, because he is our strength, rock, fortress, savior, our shield, our protection, our stronghold, our salvation, our help, our everything. And that’s the reason we call on God, praise him, glorify, honor, worship and thank Him. Because as verse six points out, when we cry out, like David, to God in our distress and pray to Him for help God will hear us from His sanctuary, because our cry reaches His ears. Thank You Lord, for hearing and answering prayers.

God gave me Psalm 18:1-15 to let me know that He has acted on my behalf because He heard my prayers. Only God can do the impossible, all you have to do is ask, wait, praise and thank Him. Why? Because God is going to answer and act fast.

Proverbs 18:1-18 tells us that the name of Jesus is a stong tower. And we know it’s the name above every other name. Proverbs 18:2 tells us a fool has no delight in understanding God, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit and they are more concerned about themselves than anyone or anything.

The wicked brings contempt for those who love and trust God, but with dishonoring God and His children they bring reproach upon themselves. God wants you to know that before the wicked is destroyed (Proverbs 18 verse 16-12), his lips will enter into contention, his mouth is his destruction and their lips get them into trouble, because before destruction the heart of a man is haughty and before God honors someone He humbles them.

The heart of the wise acquires knowledge from God and the ears of the wise seeks knowledge. The Holy Spirit inside of a person will keep or sustain him in sickness. But who can bear a broken spirit, especially when the woman rottens his bones.

Proverbs 18:16 A mans gifts makes room for him, and brings him before great men.

Are you in need of deliverance from your struggles in you life? Then, repent of your sins, cry out to God in your distress; call upon His name and you shall be saved! However, you must first confess that Jesus is Lord and receive Him into your life. You must choose to start living for God and allow Him to direct your path, your life. Go to the Salvation Prayer Page above to find out how to receive start living a life for God.

LAZINESS

God does not like laziness. Some people say they wish they did not have to work, but the Lord tells us in Proverbs 6:6 to look at the ant and use her as an example. You don’t need a boss or someone over you to tell you what to do because the ant doesn’t have a boss, guide or ruler.

Another thing we need to do is to be wise like the ant and save some money. The ant is also a perfect example of that, they work hard and gather their supplies for when they need it and that’s what we should do. Joseph did the same things for Pharoah and was promoted because whatever Joseph did, he did it for the glory of God, because God was his boss. Every place Joseph worked he was promoted.

In all it demonstrates the principle of addition. If you don’t work to add to your savings it will be depleted in no time, and like a prowler you will be hit with poverty in no time. So the message God has for us today is, if we work so hard, it’s time to start saving like the ant and Joseph. You have to put away for the rainy days, and the unemployment days, God did His part by blessing you with a job in order to do so.

God is the best financial advisor in the world. Not only because He gave you the financial stability you need, but He sees the future clearly. God wants us to consider the wisdom of the ant. God can use anything or anyone to instruct us.

Proverbs 6:6-11 “Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest. How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? When wilt thou arise out of thy sleep? Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.”
