Refrain From Arguments

” Do not answer a fool according to his folly, Lest you also be like him. Answer a fool according to his folly, Lest he be wise in his own eyes.”( Proverbs 26:4-5 NKJV).

” If a wise man contends with a foolish man, Whether the fool rages or laughs, there is no peace.  The bloodthirsty hate the blameless, But the upright seek his well-being.  A fool vents all his feelings, But a wise man holds them back.:(Proverbs 29:9-11 NKJV).

” But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife. And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient,  in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth,  and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will.”(2 Timothy 2:23-26 NKJV).

● When you are right you don’t necessarily have to argue.
● If you are right (by God’s standards) you are right, why argue?
● No one can be right without the truth.
● No one has the power to permanently hide the truth. The truth will always come out and will always prevails.
● It is knowing the truth with the exercise and application of wisdom that prevents arguments. In other words getting your facts straight.

” And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God.  For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.  I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.  However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 

But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory,  which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”  But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.  But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.”(1 Corinthians 2:1-16 NKJV).

” Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth.  This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.” (James 3:13-18 NKJV).

FINALLY: ” For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,  from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,  that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,  to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”[ Ephesians 3:14-21 NKJV].

You are a Soldier of Christ.,and 2  Corinthians 10:3-6 NKJV says:
” For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,  casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.”

” You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.” ( 2 Timothy 2:3-4 NKJV ).

▪︎ Endure: to undergo without giving up.
• Hardness: adversity, difficulty, etc.
• In Christ you are built to endure hardship.
• God doesn’t give you hardship. It is always the devil who tries to make things difficult for God’s people.

▪︎ Remember this, in Christ you always have the VICTORY. The devil will try to battle you, to discourage you from obtaining your victory in Christ.

•  so Keep fighting the good fight of faith because when you are in faith the battle is the Lord’s, but when you are in doubt the battle becomes yours.

” Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.  Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;  above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—” ( Ephesians 6:10-18 NKJV).

” Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,  To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen.”[ Jude 1: 24-25 NKJV].

We give the devil access to our lives, and our family through our thoughts, our speech, and our actions. Job lived by every Word of God, and God placed a hedge of protection around him,which leads to God bragging about Job to the devil . Job 1:1 NKJV says: ” There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil.”

Job lived by every Word of God, was obedient to every word of God, stand on every word of God, and trust every word of God.

GOD SAYS; “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;  In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones.”(Proverbs 3:5-8 NKJV).

” Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.  Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.” [1 Peter 5 : 8-11 NKJV].

AS BELIEVERS WE ARE NEVER WITHOUT GOD’S DIVINE PROTECTION. HOW DO I KNOW? IN SPORTS THEY GO TO THE VIDEO TAPE,BUT WE AS CHRISTIANS, GO TO THE SCRIPTURES. LET’S START WITH JOB.

” Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?”  So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing?  Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.  But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!”  And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.” So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.”(Job 1: 8-12 NKJV).

Psalms 121:1-8 NKJV says :
” I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help?  My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep.  The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night.  The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore.

Then Psalms 91:1-16 NKJV tells us that :
” He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day,  Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place,  No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.  You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.  “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.  He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.  With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.”

JESUS SAYS  THIS IN John 10:26-29 NKJV:
” But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.  My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.

” Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. ” Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”[ Ephesians 3: 20-21 NKJV].

GOD has a hedge of protection over all His children who worship Him in Spirit and truth, in love,truth, holiness, righteousness, and faith. Let’s look at it in the scriptures.

Job 1:7-12 NKJV says:

If you want God’s divine protection  we have to do like the men God spoke about in the scriptures : ” There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil.” (Job 1:1 NKJV).

Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father’s name, they bear witness of Me.  But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you.  My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.  And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.  My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. [30] I and My Father are one.” ( John 10 : 25-30 NKJV).

” Now to Him Who is able to keep you without stumbling or slipping or falling, and to present [you] unblemished (blameless and faultless) before the presence of His glory in triumphant joy and exultation [with unspeakable, ecstatic delight]–  To the one only God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory (splendor), majesty, might and dominion, and power and authority, before all time and now and forever (unto all the ages of eternity). Amen (so be it).” [Jude 1 : 24-25 AMPC].

A SPIRITUAL MIND focuses on the things of the Spirit,through Christ Jesus, our Savior.
Spiritually Minded People are conscious oriented towards the divine, eternal or higher realities of God, rather than material or worldly things.

THEY ARE COMPASSIONATE ,AND ACTIVELY DISPLAYING GODLY ATTRIBUTES, AND CHARACTERISTICS.

THEY ARE GROUNDED,AND ROOTED IN GOD’S WORD. THEREFORE, THEY ARE CALMER WHEN THEY FACE TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS. BECAUSE THEY KNOW THEIR GOD.

THEY PRIORITIZE,BIBLE READING, PRAYER, AND MEDITATION TO CONTINUALLY RENEW THEIR MINDS IN THE THINGS OF GOD.

Romans 8:5-11 NKJV says  :
” For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.  So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.
And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

Then Colossians 3:1-2 NKJV says:

” If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

“For ‘Who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?’ But we have the mind of Christ.” (This is the primary verse that directly uses the phrase, highlighting that believers have access to God’s wisdom through the Spirit)”. ( 1 Corinthians 2 :16 NKJV).

FINALLY, Philippians 2:5-8 says:  ” Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus…” (Describes the mindset of Christ: humility, selflessness, and obedience to the Father).

Jesus gave His life, so that you could be Free,so accept and enjoy it.

” And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”  They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, ‘You will be made free’?” Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.  And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”( John 8:32-36 NKJV).

” But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.  For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”( Romans 6:22-23 NKJV).

” There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.” ( Romans 8: 1-2 NKJV).

” Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”( 2 Corinthians 3:17 NKJV).

” For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men— as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants of God.”(1 Peter 2: 15-16 NKJV).

+ To know Jesus is to know Truth Personified.

+ To know Truth Personified is to be set free.

+ Jesus is the Person of Truth, and the Word of God is the Word of Truth.

+ Jesus sets you free and the Word of God keeps you Free when you live by it.

+ Freedom in Christ sets you up for complete deliverance in your spirit, soul, mind and body.

+ Freedom in Christ makes you Bold, Courageous, Strong, Secure, and Wise, etc.

” Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.” (Galatians 5:1 NKJV).

” Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,  to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”[ Ephesians 3: 20-21 NKJV].

” But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”(Isaiah 53:5 NKJV).

” He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.”(Psalms 107:20 NKJV).

” Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; Save me, and I shall be saved, For You are my praise.”( Jeremiah 17: 14 NKJV).

” For I will restore health to you And heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord, ‘Because they called you an outcast saying: “This is Zion; No one seeks her.” ’(Jeremiah 30:17 NKJV).

” who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.”(1 Peter 2:24 NKJV).

LET’S PRAY 🙏🏽
Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the Sick, I turn to You in this time of illness. Dearest Comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with Your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden. We place our worries in Your hands. In James 4:2-3  You said we have not because we ask not, So:

We ask that You restore Your servant to health again. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge Your holy will and know that whatever You do, You do for the love of us.

Merciful God, I offer prayers for those who are wanting. Those with broken hearts and broken lives. Bless them with healing. Change their circumstances. Cause peace and prosperity to come to them in abundance. I, who have plenty, pray that I may share the richness of my soul, even as I share my resources.

Lord, I come before you today knowing that all power is in Your hand. I know that you are the Lord and that you care for your people. Right now, right now I have loved ones who are struggling with a difficult trial. I can see their strength faltering, Lord, and know that you have all of the strength that they need.

I pray that you will reach down and touch them right now wherever they are at this moment. Let your presence fill the room where they are and let them feel an extra portion of your strength that can help them to get through this day.

They need you now, Lord, and I thank you in advance for meeting them where they are and shoring up their strength during this difficult time. IN THE ALMIGHTY NAME OF JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH, WE PRAY . AMEN 🙏

“Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, “( Luke 18:1 NKJV).

” pray without ceasing,  in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”( 1 Thessalonians 5: 17-18 NKJV).

“Therefore I tell you, stop being perpetually uneasy (anxious and worried) about your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink; or about your body, what you shall put on. Is not life greater [in quality] than food, and the body [far above and more excellent] than clothing? Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father keeps feeding them. Are you not worth much more than they? And who of you by worrying and being anxious can add one unit of measure (cubit) to his stature or to the span of his life? [Ps. 39:5-7.] And why should you be anxious about clothes? Consider the lilies of the field and learn thoroughly how they grow; they neither toil nor spin. Yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his magnificence (excellence, dignity, and grace) was not arrayed like one of these.

[I Kings 10:4-7.] But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and green and tomorrow is tossed into the furnace, will He not much more surely clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not worry and be anxious, saying, What are we going to have to eat? or, What are we going to have to drink? or, What are we going to have to wear?  For the Gentiles (heathen) wish for and crave and diligently seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows well that you need them all. But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.  So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble.”( Matthew 6:25-34  AMPC).

” Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.  For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].” ( Philippians 4 : 6-8 AMPC).

God created us to live for Him,by His word.

What God created nothing can destroy it.
God has delegated man to have authority and power. He gave man dominion over the earth to subdue the earth.

We are responsible for living by every word of God.  Matthew 4:4, Luke 4:4, Deuteronomy 8:3,all says:“It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”

Having the information and living the information are two different things. The word of God does not live by itself, man must live the word of god.

Hebrews 4:12-16 NKJV says:
” For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.  And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. 

Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.  For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

God  says in Isaiah 55:8-11 NKJV :
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.  “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater,  So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”

Religious people cannot teach ,nor live by every word of God without  wisdom, and revelation from the HolySpirit. Because, it’s spiritually discerned.

” These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.  But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” (1 Corinthians 2: 13-14 NKJV).

Religious people substitute religion for relationship.

”  You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews.  But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.  God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” ( John 4:22-24 NKJV).

” Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,  To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen.” [Jude 1: 24-25 NKJV].
