GOD DOESN’T WANT YOU TO GIVE UP. SO…
“let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful”.(Hebrews 10:22-23 NKJV).
Out of the depths I have cried to You, O Lord ; Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive To the voice of my supplications. If You, Lord , should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? But there is forgiveness with You, That You may be feared. I wait for the Lord , my soul waits, And in His word I do hope. My soul waits for the Lord More than those who watch for the morning— Yes, more than those who watch for the morning. O Israel, hope in the Lord ; For with the Lord there is mercy, And with Him is abundant redemption. And He shall redeem Israel From all his iniquities”. (Psalms 130:1-8).
Question: “What does it mean to wait on the Lord?”
Waiting on the Lord involves the confident expectation of a positive result in which we place a great hope—a hope that can only be realized by the actions of God. This expectation must be based on knowledge and trust, or we simply won’t wait. Those who do not know the Lord will not wait on Him; neither will those who fail to trust Him. We must be confident of who God is and what He is capable of doing. Those who wait on the Lord do not lose heart in their prayers: “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us” (1 John 5:14).
Waiting on the Lord renews our strength (Isaiah 40:31). Prayer and Bible study and meditating upon God’s Word are essential. To wait on the Lord we need a heart responsive to the Word of God, a focus on the things of heaven, and a patience rooted in faith.
We should not despair when God tarries long in His response, but continue to patiently wait on Him to work on our behalf. The reason God sometimes waits a long time to deliver is to extend the goodness of the final outcome. “Therefore the LORD waits to be gracious to you, and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the LORD is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him” (Isaiah 30:18, ESV).
We are in Authority and Power with Jesus;therefore we have the strength to wait.
Ephesians 6:1-24 (Read all)Verse 10 says: Finally, my brethren, be STRONG in the Lord, and in the POWER of his MIGHT.
+Notice the Word of God didn’t say to GET STRONG in the Lord, but instead it says to BE STRONG in the Lord.
+Get Strong means that we are not Strong so we have to go and get Strong.
+Be Strong means that we are already STRONG in the Lord, and all we have to do is to function like it.
+After all Psalm 27:1 says that the Lord is the Strength of our lives. Hallelujah!
+Today let’s accept this TRUTH by Faith in Christ Jesus and step out in Faith knowing that God is the STRENGTH of our lives. Amen!
•Continue to let the WORD of God be the standard for your life. Always LOVING others like Christ Jesus loves us while keeping our Faith, Trust and Confidence in Him.
•BLESSED you are and BLESSED you will always be and to God be all the GLORY. Amen!
