PRAYER DOES WORK

Confidence in Prayer

+In Daniel Ch-10, Daniel prayed and fasted, and after 21 days an Angel of the Lord appeared unto him and said:

Daniel 10:12

…Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that you did set your heart to  understand, and to chasten yourself before your God (in prayer), your words were heard, and I am come for your words.

+Daniel’s prayer was INSTANTLY heard, and answered by God.

+Please notice that though the prayer was INSTANTLY answered Daniel did not experienced the answer until 21 days later.

Hebrews 10:35-36

35 Cast not away therefore your CONFIDENCE, which has great recompense of reward.

36 For you have need of patience, that, after you have done the will of God, you might receive the promise.

1 John 5:14-15 says,

14 And this is the CONFIDENCE that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us:

15 And if we know that he hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we desired of him.

Principles of Prayers:

1. Make sure you have Faith, Trust and Confidence in God before you pray.

2. Prayers go where we cannot go.

3. Prayers do what we cannot do.

4. Prayers give God access to the situations.

5. Whatever we pray according to God’s will He hears us and He answers us.

•Continue to let the WORD of God be the standard for your life. Always LOVING others like Christ Jesus loves us while keeping our Faith, Trust and Confidence in Him.

•BLESSED you are and BLESSED you will always be and to God be all the GLORY. Amen!

JUST  PRAY ABOUT  IT

Fundamental Principles of the Word of God

-If something is worth doing, do it right.

-Never murmur and complain to God.

-God doesn’t answer murmurs and complaints.

-God answers PRAYERS that are prayed in FAITH, and PRAYERS that are based on His WORD.

Mark 12:24

Therefore I say unto you, What things whatsoever all of you desire, when all of you pray, believe that  all of you receive them, and all of you shall have them.

1 John 5:14-15

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he hears us,And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired  of him.

-Pray the problem don’t murmur and complain the problem.

Another thing is:

How Often Do We Pray For One Another?

+Do we pray more for things than we pray for one another?

+Do we wait for others to call us with a problem before we pray for them?

James 5:16

Confess your faults one to another, and PRAY ONE FOR ANOTHER, THAT ALL OF YOU MAY BE HEALED. The  effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

EMPHASIS:

1.  PRAY ONE FOR ANOTHER…

2.  THAT ALL OF YOU MAY BE HEALED… (Please note that we also receive HEALING when we pray for one another).

Luke 18:1 (Jesus said)

…that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.

+Please pray for me as I continue to pray for you.

•Continue to let the WORD of God be the standard for your life. Always LOVING others like Christ Jesus loves us while keeping our faith, trust and confidence in Him.

•BLESSED you are and BLESSED you will always be and to God be all the GLORY. Amen!

JESUS THE ONLY WAY TO GOD

Having and Living the Abundant Life

In John 10:10 Jesus said: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it MORE ABUNDANTLY.

Galatians 3:13-14

13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us…

14 That the (ABUNDANT) BLESSING of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ…

+In looking for the manifestation of the ABUNDANT BLESSINGS in our lives…

1. What happens if our Faith is not strong enough to obtain it?

2. What happens if our Wisdom is not Enough to Manage it?

3. What happens if our capacity is not enough to accommodate it?

+Just simply ask the Lord in prayer to strengthen and keep you in faith so your faith will not fail.

+Ask the Lord for His Wisdom to manage the ABUNDANCE that’s coming to you.

+And finally ask the Lord to increase your capacity to receive His ABUNDANCE.

•BLESSED you are and BLESSED you will always be and to God be all the GLORY. Amen!

NOT MY WILL OR WAY; BUT YOURS LORD.

Give Yourselves to the Truth and Wisdom of God in Christ Jesus.

James 4:17

Therefore to him that knows to do good, and does it not, to him it is sin.

+They that refuse wisdom and instruction will reap the bitter consequences of having their own way.

Proverb 21:2

Every way of a man is right in his own eyes…

+It is never about what’s right to us, but it’s always about what’s right according to the Lord and His Word.

+Wrong conduct is based on wrong beliefs, and what we believe sets the stage for conduct, character and destiny.

+May the thoughts we think, the words we speak and the actions we take be the Good, Acceptable and Perfect Will of God.

•Continue to let the WORD of God be the standard for your life. Always LOVING others like Christ Jesus loves us while keeping our faith, trust and confidence in Him.

•BLESSED you are and BLESSED you will always be and to God be all the GLORY. Amen!

CHOICES

All Decisions are Important

“Now it shall come to pass, when all these things come upon you, the blessing and the curse which I have set before you, and you call them to mind among all the nations where the Lord your God drives you, and you return to the Lord your God and obey His voice, according to all that I command you today, you and your children, with all your heart and with all your soul, that the Lord your God will bring you back from captivity, and have compassion on you, and gather you again from all the nations where the Lord your God has scattered you. If any of you are driven out to the farthest parts under heaven, from there the Lord your God will gather you, and from there He will bring you. Then the Lord your God will bring you to the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it. He will prosper you and multiply you more than your fathers. And the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live. “Also the Lord your God will put all these curses on your enemies and on those who hate you, who persecuted you. And you will again obey the voice of the Lord and do all His commandments which I command you today. The Lord your God will make you abound in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your land for good. For the Lord will again rejoice over you for good as He rejoiced over your fathers, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which are written in this Book of the Law, and if you turn to the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. “For this commandment which I command you today is not too mysterious for you, nor is it far off. It is not in heaven, that you should say, ‘Who will ascend into heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’ Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’ But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it. “See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the Lord your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess. But if your heart turns away so that you do not hear, and are drawn away, and worship other gods and serve them, I announce to you today that you shall surely perish; you shall not prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to go in and possess. I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that  I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”(Deuteronomy 30:1‭-‬20).

REMEMBER  :

Deuteronomy 30:19 says,

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both you and your seed may live:

-Our lives are composed of your choices.

-A decision is not made in a moment of time it is already rooted in your character and experiences.

-Be wise in making decisions. All decisions can become habits, and all habits can become your character.

-Choose not what you want but what God has already chosen for you:

-Choose Jesus not satan.

-Choose life not death.

-Choose blessing not cursing.

-Choose health not sickness.

-Choose riches not poverty.

-Choose victory not defeat.

-Choose the Kingdom not the world.

-For an extended list of things to choose please consult with your Holy Bible from Genesis to Revelation.

+++Blessed you are and blessed you will always be and to God be all the glory. Amen!

EFFECTIVE  PRAYERS

“Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit”.(James 5:13‭-‬18).

“In those days Hezekiah was sick and near death. And Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, went to him and said to him, “Thus says the Lord : ‘Set your house in order, for you shall die and not live.’ ” Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the Lord , and said, “Remember now, O Lord , I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what  is good in Your sight.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly. And the word of the Lord came to Isaiah, saying, “Go and tell Hezekiah, ‘Thus says the Lord , the God of David your father: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will add to your days fifteen years”.(Isaiah 38:1‭-‬5).

YOUR  WORTH

What am I worth?

“Often when we talk about ‘what someone is worth?’ we are thinking about their money.  How twisted are we!  People are worth far more than their bank accounts!  William Temple said something that every Christian should and could say:  “My worth is what I am worth to God, and that is a marvelous great deal, because Christ died for me.”  Do you believe this?  You should.  The Apostle Peter reminds us that “you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.”  (1 Pet. 1:18–19)  In all the universe there is no higher currency than the precious blood of Christ, and it alone can set us free and determine our worth.  So our worth is found not in ourselves or “in silver or gold”, but in God who sent his only begotten Son to pay for our sins with his precious blood!  So my Christian friend, ask yourself: “What am I worth?”  Then answer yourself:  “I am worth a marvelous great deal to God, because Christ ransomed me with his precious blood!”  – Pastor Roets”

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy. Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul, having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation”.(I Peter 2:9‭-‬12).

“For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to  be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can  be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It  is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It  is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord”.(Romans 8:29‭-‬39).

REMEMBER  :

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.  And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil”. (John 3:16‭-‬19).

ARE YOU HOT OR COLD

Unfortunately many  will not make it to heaven .

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.  Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’  And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:  and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand:  and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.” And so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes”. (Matthew 7:21‭-‬29)》》》

READ THIS  :

“And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, ‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.  Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God.  Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.  You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy.  He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’ “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, ‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens” :  “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.  Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.  Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.  Behold,  I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.  He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’ “And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God:  “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot.  So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.  Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked—  I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.  As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.  Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.  To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” {Revelation 3:1‭-‬22}•••

OVERCOMERS,AND CONQUERORS

“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he  is  a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures. So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God. Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in  it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless. Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world”. (James 1:2‭-‬8‭, ‬12‭-‬27).

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation. Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned— (For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many. And the gift is not like that  which  came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which  came from one offense  resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which  came from many offenses resulted in justification. For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)

Romans 5:1-

HOW LONG HAVE   YOU BEEN WAITING ?

WE DO GET IMPATIENT ,while we are waiting  on God to answer  our prayers ,to heal us among other things  ,that we start to question  God.

“How long, O Lord ? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me? How long shall I take counsel in my soul, Having sorrow in my heart daily? How long will my enemy be exalted over me? Consider and hear me, O Lord my God; Enlighten my eyes, Lest I sleep the sleep  of death; Lest my enemy say, “I have prevailed against him”; Lest those who trouble me rejoice when I am moved. But I have trusted in Your mercy; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. I will sing to the Lord , Because He has dealt bountifully with me”. (Psalms 13:1‭-‬6)

O Lord , how long shall I cry, And You will not hear? Even cry out to You, “Violence!” And You will not save. Why do You show me iniquity, And cause me to see trouble? For plundering and violence are before me; There is strife, and contention arises. Therefore the law is powerless, And justice never goes forth. For the wicked surround the righteous; Therefore perverse judgment proceeds. “Look among the nations and watch— Be utterly astounded! For I  will work a work in your days Which you would not believe, though it were told you. For indeed I am raising up the Chaldeans, A bitter and hasty nation Which marches through the breadth of the earth, To possess dwelling places that  are not theirs. They are terrible and dreadful; Their judgment and their dignity proceed from themselves. Their horses also are swifter than leopards, And more fierce than evening wolves. Their chargers charge ahead; Their cavalry comes from afar; They fly as the eagle that hastens to eat. “They all come for violence; Their faces are set like the east wind. They gather captives like sand. They scoff at kings, And princes are scorned by them. They deride every stronghold, For they heap up earthen mounds and seize it. Then his mind changes, and he transgresses; He commits offense, Ascribing this power to his god.” Are You not from everlasting, O Lord my God, my Holy One? We shall not die. O Lord , You have appointed them for judgment; O Rock, You have marked them for correction. You  are of purer eyes than to behold evil, And cannot look on wickedness. Why do You look on those who deal treacherously, And hold Your tongue when the wicked devours A person more righteous than he?(Habakkuk 1:2‭-‬13).

Like David  and Habakkuk , most of us ask the same question ? How long shall we wait? But God says,

“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord , The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, And to those  who  have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint”.(Isaiah 40:28‭-‬31).

Therefore , “I  would  have  lost  heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living. Wait on the Lord ; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord !(Psalms 27:13‭-‬14).

Remember  this,”Through the Lord ’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They  are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. “The Lord  is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!” The Lord  is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him. It  is good that one should hope and wait quietly For the salvation of the Lord” .[Lamentations 3:22‭-‬26].

The truth  is  that ,it is during  the  waiting  process  that we develop  key attributes  pertaining  to life and  Godliness .

“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing”.(James 1:2‭-‬4).

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.[Romans 5:1‭-‬3‭, ‬5]
