I want to offer a word of comfort today for those who are suffering, who’ve had a loss, who are going through something really difficult. Those who are trying to trust God when what’s happening in your life just doesn’t make any sense. You know, I often say that trust requires that we have some unanswered questions, but I know that sometimes when you want answers really, really bad and there aren’t any, that it is difficult. I want to encourage you not to run from God in your pain but run to Him because He is the God of all comfort. God wants to comfort you right now. He wants you to know that He loves you, that it’s not too late for you to begin again. God will heal you. He will heal your wounded soul. He will comfort your emotions. God cares so much about you and His grace is available to you right now to help you. You know, many things that we go through, we cannot possibly handle them on our own. But grace enables us. How can we draw near to God? James gives us five ways to pursue an intimate relationship with God.1- Submit to God (4:7). 2- Resist the devil (4:7).3- Cleanse your hands… and purify your hearts (4:8).4- Be miserable and mourn and weep in sincere sorrow for your sins (4:9). 5- Humble yourself in the presence of the Lord and He will lift you up ( 4:10;1 Peter 5:6). The concept of drawing near to God was associated originally with the Leviticus Priest ( Exodus 19:22; Ezekiel 44:13; Leviticus 10:3), but eventually came to describe anyone’s approach to God ( Psalm 73:28; Isaiah 29:13; Hebrews 4:16;7:19;10:22).

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him”.(Hebrews 11:6 NKJV).

How to Keep Our Relationship with the Lord Supernaturally Powerful at all Times.
+Be consistent in these things:

1 Matt 22:36-40 Love the Lord with all you Heart, Soul, Mind and Strength.

2 Proverb 3:5

Trust in the LORD with ALL your heart; and NEVER lean to own understanding.

3 Psalm 27:1 Know that the Lord is the STRENGTH of your life, Eph. 6:10 Be STRONG in Him, and do ALL things through Christ Who STRENGTHENS you, Phil. 4:13.

4 Do ALL with the Mind of Christ, 1 Cor 2:16, and do ALL with His Wisdom 1 Cor 1:30.

5 Bear GOOD FRUITS for the Glory is God John 15:8, and do ALL for His Glory, 1 Cor 10:31.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”

Romans 12:9 says;
Let LOVE be without dissimulation (hypocrisy)…
+If we cannot Love God, we cannot Love others, and we cannot Love other, we cannot Love God.

…doing nothing by PARTIALITY (personal prejudice or favoritism).
+Love is always without PARTIALITY.
+Love has no beginning, and Love never ends.
+Before we came into this world Love existed, and after we leave Love will continue to exist.
+There isn’t a time when Love is not needed.
+Love always gives WHAT is needed, and WHEN it’s needed.
+Love is Pure, Holy, Righteous, and True, and Love never fails.

As your soul prospers ; PROSPERITY and GOOD HEALTH follows.

“BELOVED, I PRAY THAT YOU MAY PROSPER IN ALL THINGS AND BE IN HEALTH, JUST AS YOUR SOUL PROSPERS”.(III John 1:2 NKJV).

Where’s the soul of a person ? The soul has seven faculties. Which consists of .

1. THE MIND. which has your memory,reasoning,and imagination. Exchange your mind for the mind of Christ.

“But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ”.(I Corinthians 2:14‭-‬16 NKJV).

“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,…
(Philippians 2:5‭-‬9 NKJV).

2. MEMORY – Holds information on the past,present, and future events.

“Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you. Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind”.(Philippians 3:13‭-‬16 NKJV).

3. REASONING – Evaluate and process information.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord . “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it”. (Isaiah 55:8‭-‬11 NKJV).

4. IMAGINATION- The eyes of the mind, to perceive things.

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled”.(II Corinthians 10:3‭-‬6 NKJV).

5. EMOTION- To Express disapproval

“And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, and said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves”.(Matthew 21:12‭-‬13 KJV)

“Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need”.(Hebrews 4:14‭-‬16 KJV).

7. AFFECTION- Showing care and concern.

“Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not”. (Romans 12:9‭-‬14 KJV).

8. WILL – makes all decisions, and manages all the other faculties . This is where you exchange your will ,for God’s will.

“Then He said to them, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with Me.” He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will. ” Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “What! Could you not watch with Me one hour? Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Again, a second time, He went away and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from Me unless I drink it, Your will be done.”
(Matthew 26:38‭-‬42 NKJV).

The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.
Ezekiel 18:20 NKJV

Josh 1:7 says,”Only be strong and very courageous (in God’s Word), that you may observe to do everything accordingly. Turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper in it every where you go”.
When you make this type of commitment to obey and live by every word of God, then everything that pertain to life, Godliness, health, prosperity and your security become your abundant reward. These tremendous blessings become the byproducts of your commitment to obey God. Therefore, Continue to be steadfast in your commitment to obey God ,by living by every Word of God.

God said it ,hear it,believe it,accept it,now act upon His Prosperity, Good Health and Good Success.
Allow me to remind you again, what John 1:2 said,
Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and BE IN HEALTH, even as your soul prospers.
Psalm 107:20
He sent His Word, and HEALED them, and delivered them from their destructions.
+Our God Prospers His People with Good Health and Good Success.
+I am praying with you and for you that we live the life of God that keeps us in PROSPERITY, GOOD HEALTH and GOOD SUCCESS.

AND THEY OVERCAME HIM BY THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB AND BY THE WORD OF THEIR TESTIMONY, and they did not love their lives to the death”. (Revelation 12:10‭-‬11 NKJV).

Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect?

It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”

YET IN ALL THESE THINGS WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS THROUGH HIM WHO LOVED US. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord”.

Thank God for His Goodness and His Loving Kindness Towards Us.
+The Greatest Gift ever is the Gift of Salvation (Eternal Life) through Christ Jesus our Lord (2 Corinthians 5:17-21).
+The Greatest Giving ever is God giving His Son the Lord Jesus Christ as a Sacrifice for our sins (John 3:16).
+The Greatest act of Love ever is Christ Jesus laying down His Life (dying and sacrificing Himself) for our sins (John 15:13).
Romans 8:32
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

The Peace of God is for our HEARTS and MINDS.
PEACE: quietness with rest, calm and tranquility.
Philippians 4:7
And the PEACE of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your HEARTS and MINDS through Christ Jesus.
John 14:27 Jesus said:
PEACE I leave with you, my PEACE I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your HEART be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
+The peace of God in our lives keeps us from WORRIES, and keeps us from being TROUBLED, and also keeps us from ALL FEARS.
+Do not allow yourself to be agitated and disturbed.
+Do not allow yourself to be fearful, and unsettled in any way.
+Settle and rest yourself in God’s PERFECT PEACE.
Isaiah 9:6
…He is our Prince of PEACE, and our ETERNAL PEACE.

The Value System of God,is different from the world.

“And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; YOU ARE OF MORE VALUE THAN MANY SPARROWS”. (Matthew 10:28‭-‬31 NKJV).

“But now, thus says the Lord , who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you”. (Isaiah 43:1‭-‬2 NKJV).

“See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me”. (Isaiah 49:16 NKJV).

“The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you”. (Jeremiah 31:3 NKJV)

LISTEN

-Little is much when God is in it. Little is much when your heart is in it. Little is much when it is your all, and much will be little without God at all.
Mark 12:41-44 The widow’s two mites was little, but Jesus said she gave more than the others because it was her all.
-When you give out of sacrifice it adds value to your giving.
2 Corinthians 9:6-8 when you give cheerfully and give from the heart it adds value to your giving.

-When you give out of love for others and especially out of love for God it adds value to your giving.
-The return for your giving by the Value System of God is One Hundredfold, Good Measure, Pressed Down, Shaken Together and Running Over to the point where you shall not have room enough to receive it.

PRAYER goes where you cannot go. Do what you cannot do,and it gives God access to take over your situation, or give you answers on how to deal with it

Prayer is a dialogue that goes two ways,you talk to God,then you listen. In John 10:27 Jesus said,”My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me”. Then in John 10:5 He said,”And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers”. As disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ we are to know His Voice and His vocabulary (His Word).We must intentionally listen to hear the voice of God.

Consistent prayer, study and meditation in God’s Word helps us to hear his voice.Remember prayer is not to just tell God what you want in Jesus Name and run. After we have prayed. We need to wait and listen for God’s Voice.

Prayer is also dialogue between God and us.Exercise this discipline consistently to hear God’s Voice and it will change your entire life for the better.

You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.

Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”?

But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up” .(James 4:2‭-‬10 NKJV).

Have mercy upon me, O God, According to Your lovingkindness; According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, Blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin.

For I acknowledge my transgressions, And my sin is always before me. Against You, You only, have I sinned, And done this evil in Your sight— That You may be found just when You speak, And blameless when You judge.

Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me. Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, And in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.

Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Make me hear joy and gladness, That the bones You have broken may rejoice. Hide Your face from my sins, And blot out all my iniquities.

Do good in Your good pleasure to Zion; Build the walls of Jerusalem. Then You shall be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, With burnt offering and whole burnt offering; Then they shall offer bulls on Your altar”. (Psalms 51:1‭-‬19 NKJV)

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN: Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast all of you your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and return and rend you. {Matthew 7:6}
The Exegesis/interpretation is:
Give not that which is holy unto the unholy, neither give your precious and valuable substance to the ungrateful and thankless, less they abuse, misuse and walk on them as dirt and return to rend you (or rip your heart) by doing the same thing all over again.Always handle your Kingdom business with Kingdom Wisdom. Don’t let the holidays, nor loneliness allow you to compromise your dignity and ,peace by hooking up with the wrong people, then regret it later.
