“Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him”.(I John 2:3‭-‬4 NKJV)

How can we draw near to God? James gives us five ways to pursue an intimate relationship with God.1- Submit to God (4:7). 2- Resist the devil (4:7).3- Cleanse your hands… and purify your hearts (4:8).4- Be miserable and mourn and weep in sincere sorrow for your sins (4:9). 5- Humble yourself in the presence of the Lord and He will lift you up ( 4:10;1 Peter 5:6). The concept of drawing near to God was associated originally with the Leviticus Priest ( Exodus 19:22; Ezekiel 44:13; Leviticus 10:3), but eventually came to describe anyone’s approach to God ( Psalm 73:28; Isaiah 29:13; Hebrews 4:16;7:19;10:22).

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him”.(Hebrews 11:6 NKJV).

How to Keep Our Relationship with the Lord Supernaturally Powerful at all Times.
+Be consistent in these things:

1 Matt 22:36-40 Love the Lord with all you Heart, Soul, Mind and Strength.

2 Proverb 3:5

Trust in the LORD with ALL your heart; and NEVER lean to own understanding.

3 Psalm 27:1 Know that the Lord is the STRENGTH of your life, Eph. 6:10 Be STRONG in Him, and do ALL things through Christ Who STRENGTHENS you, Phil. 4:13.

4 Do ALL with the Mind of Christ, 1 Cor 2:16, and do ALL with His Wisdom 1 Cor 1:30.

5 Bear GOOD FRUITS for the Glory is God John 15:8, and do ALL for His Glory, 1 Cor 10:31.
