MEDICATION FOR PEACE

When the doctor, who uses us as pigs to experiment the effects of  a medication, we gladly take it without hesitation or questions because we want to feel better. But when the Creator of the universe, gives us the medication of His word we refuse to take it, we question Him, fuss and fight before we comply. Most people lack inner peace because of disobedience, lack of faith, trust, and confidence in God. Why would anyone be miserable, frustrated, worried, or anxious if we take the medication of His word in Philippians 4:6 & 7, which clearly says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your request be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Why don’t you have peace as a believer in Christ, when He said in John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you, not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

DO YOU WANT PEACE? Acquaint now thyself with Him and be at peace, thereby good shall come unto thee [Job 22:21].

Heavenly Father, in the Name of Jesus open their hearts and mind to receive your medication, which says, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusteth in thee” (Isaiah 26:3). If you want complete peace then take God’s medication for peace. As 2 Thessalonians 3:16 says, “Now the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.”

WHY FIGHT AND BE TROUBLED

Why fight when you have someone to fight for you. Why worry when you have someone who is willing, able, and capable of fighting for you. How many times has God told us: fear not, fret not, & worry not instead “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God; and the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus,” according to Philippians 4:6-7. This is the reason why you see some people are so calm, cool, and collective when they are faced with or in the middle of a crisis. They know how to pray and who they are praying to.

So why worry or fight if you can pray and like God told them in Exodus 14:13-14, “Do not be afraid, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians you see today, you shall see no more forever. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”

The Egyptians we fight today, are described for us in Ephesians 6:12 as principalities, powers, rulers of darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places. Therefore to fight, we pray. Ephesians 6:18 tells us,”praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.”

We are all soldiers in God’s army, fighting the same enemy, so it’s very important for us to pray for  and encourage each other. The battle is not ours, it is God’s (2 Chronicles 20:15-17); and no matter what the enemy throws at us, Romans 8:37 says, we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. And we can say, “But thanks be to God, who giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” [1 Corinthians 15:57]. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ, and be ready to punish every disobedience, when your own submission and obedience are fully secured and complete.(2 Corinthians 10:3-6).

Always remember prayers go where we can’t go, do things we can’t do and give God access to move on our behalf.

In Matthew 26:41, Jesus tells us to watch and pray. Because our enemy is like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. John 10:10 informs us, which means he never sleeps, he is always alert, and prepared to take full advantage, but if it don’t look right go pray, if it don’t feel right go pray, if it don’t smell right go pray, prayer puts you on top, and the enemy under your feet. Prayer activates Luke 10:19, power to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy.

So stop worrying, fighting, and go pray. If you don’t know God, nor have accepted the gift of His Son go to the salvation page at the top of this blog. If you don’t know how to pray start with Matthew 6:9-13, and Nehemiah 1:4-11, (Nehemiah’s prayer) or find the post on prayer and effective praying in this blog. The best thing to do is ask the Holy Spirit, He is the best teacher in this world and beyond. And remember Hebrew 13:5-6, “Let your conduct be without covetousness;be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said,”I will never leave you nor forsake you.

So we may boldly say: The Lord is my helper, I will not fear, what can man do to me?” Then read Isaiah 43:1-5, for support.

LIBERATED by THE WORD

Know Christ and know freedom. No Christ means no freedom. To be truely liberated through the Word of God you have to believe the word without a shadow of doubt, fear, or questions. “The entrance of God’s word bringeth forth light” [Psalms 119:130] . Why? Because,His word is a lamp unto our feet, and a light unto our path says ,Psalm119:105. Which means, you have to accept and receive the word as truth. But to believe, accept and receive it you must know for a fact that God exist, and He does not lie, and He stands by His word. However ,if you can’t accept it, then you will never be truely free. People fail to realize that, some of the folks behind prison bars have freedom in mind, body and spirit, than those walking around outside ,because, they accept Jesus Christ and His kind of freedom. If you have more bills than money to pay them then the bills have you locked up, anxieties, pains, stress are some of the things that have many folks incarcerated, wrapped up,tied up,and tangled up.

What is freedom to you? To me it is to be totally free from the sins of this world, like the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, that so easily entices us to disobey God,the Owner of the universe. “Now the Lord is Spirit;and where the Spirit of the Lord is,there is liberty” [2Corinthians 3:17]. However,Jesus said ,”If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed, and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.. If the Son,therefore, shall make you free,ye shall be free indeed” (John 8:31,32,36). For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death(Romans 8:2). “Stand fast, therefore,in the liberty with which Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage” says,Galatians 5:1. To be totally liberated in mind, body, and spirit is to know Christ the liberator.
