WHY FIGHT AND BE TROUBLED

Why fight when you have someone to fight for you. Why worry when you have someone who is willing, able, and capable of fighting for you. How many times has God told us: fear not, fret not, & worry not instead “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God; and the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus,” according to Philippians 4:6-7. This is the reason why you see some people are so calm, cool, and collective when they are faced with or in the middle of a crisis. They know how to pray and who they are praying to.

So why worry or fight if you can pray and like God told them in Exodus 14:13-14, “Do not be afraid, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians you see today, you shall see no more forever. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”

The Egyptians we fight today, are described for us in Ephesians 6:12 as principalities, powers, rulers of darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places. Therefore to fight, we pray. Ephesians 6:18 tells us,”praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.”

We are all soldiers in God’s army, fighting the same enemy, so it’s very important for us to pray forĀ  and encourage each other. The battle is not ours, it is God’s (2 Chronicles 20:15-17); and no matter what the enemy throws at us, Romans 8:37 says, we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. And we can say, “But thanks be to God, who giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” [1 Corinthians 15:57]. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ, and be ready to punish every disobedience, when your own submission and obedience are fully secured and complete.(2 Corinthians 10:3-6).

Always remember prayers go where we can’t go, do things we can’t do and give God access to move on our behalf.

In Matthew 26:41, Jesus tells us to watch and pray. Because our enemy is like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. John 10:10 informs us, which means he never sleeps, he is always alert, and prepared to take full advantage, but if it don’t look right go pray, if it don’t feel right go pray, if it don’t smell right go pray, prayer puts you on top, and the enemy under your feet. Prayer activates Luke 10:19, power to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy.

So stop worrying, fighting, and go pray. If you don’t know God, nor have accepted the gift of His Son go to the salvation page at the top of this blog. If you don’t know how to pray start with Matthew 6:9-13, and Nehemiah 1:4-11, (Nehemiah’s prayer) or find the post on prayer and effective praying in this blog. The best thing to do is ask the Holy Spirit, He is the best teacher in this world and beyond. And remember Hebrew 13:5-6, “Let your conduct be without covetousness;be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said,”I will never leave you nor forsake you.

So we may boldly say: The Lord is my helper, I will not fear, what can man do to me?” Then read Isaiah 43:1-5, for support.
