DON’T TRUST FLESH

​Matthew 26:41 …the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. 

The spirit is willing: You are predisposed (always ready) in your spirit by the Holy Spirit to obey God. You are strong in your spirit by the Holy Spirit. 
The flesh is weak: The weakness of the flesh is it’s susceptibility to sin and it’s inability to obey God.

Remember what Romans 8:8-9 says,” So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But all of you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.”

 

However,Galatians 5:16-17 says,

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, (let the Spirit make the decision) and all of you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these  are contrary the one to the other: so that all of you cannot do the things that all of you would. 

But thanks be to God you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you, Phil 4:13. “AND THEY THAT ARE CHRIST’S HAVE CRUCIFIED THE FLESH WITH THE AFFECTIONS AND LUSTS. IF WE LIVE IN THE SPIRIT,LET US ALSO WALK IN THE SPIRIT”{Galatians 5:24~25}.

THE COST OF DISOBEDIENCE 

​when we disobey the commands of the Bible,we are rebelling  against God .

So Samuel said: “Has the Lord  as  great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the Lord ? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams. For rebellion is  as the sin of witchcraft, And stubbornness is  as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord , He also has rejected you from being king.”[ Samuel 15:22‭-‬23].

Then the Lord said: “I have pardoned, according to your word; but truly, as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord — because all these men who have seen My glory and the signs which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have put Me to the test now these ten times, and have not heeded My voice, they certainly shall not see the land of which I swore to their fathers, nor shall any of those who rejected Me see it. But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it”,[Numbers 14:20‭-‬24].

But this is what I commanded them, saying, ‘Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be My people. And walk in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well with you.’ Yet they did not obey or incline their ear, but followed the counsels and the dictates of their evil hearts, and went backward and not forward. Since the day that your fathers came out of the land of Egypt until this day, I have even sent to you all My servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them.  Yet they did not obey Me or incline their ear, but stiffened their neck. They did worse than their fathers. “Therefore you shall speak all these words to them, but they will not obey you. You shall also call to them, but they will not answer you. “So you shall say to them, ‘This is a nation that does not obey the voice of the Lord their God nor receive correction. Truth has perished and has been cut off from their mouth”.(Jeremiah 7:23‭-‬28]

THIS WEEKS ADVICE 

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are  noble, whatever things are  just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are  lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there  is any virtue and if there  is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.[Philippians 4:4‭-‬9‭, ‬13‭, ‬19‭-‬20]

YOU WILL HAVE TO ANSWER TO GOD  

Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.  A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.  But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.  For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”(Matthew 12:34‭-‬37)

​1 Corinthians 1:10 says,

“Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment”. 

“Walk in wisdom toward those who  are outside, redeeming the time. Let your speech always be  with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one”.(Colossians 4:5‭-‬6)

+++Good communication is KEY to experience Victory and Success.

+++Let us all speak the same thing. There is agreement in language. 

+++No division among us means we  all stand in agreement and unity with the same things. 

+++Perfectly joined together is compatibility. Living together consistently in harmony and conformity to Word of God. 

+++The same mind is the Mind of Christ, and the same Judgement is the same decision.  

Remember communication is the basis of life. When communication breaks down the spirit of confusion (the enemy) will enter.

Matthew 5:37 states,

But let your communication be, Yes, yea; No, no: for whatsoever is more than these comes of the evil one.

VICTORY IS MINE

I HAVE THE VICTORY,HALLELUJAH .

+In Christ Jesus we have the VICTORY, and we are VICTORIOUS!!!

1 Corinthians 15:57 

But thanks be to God, Who gives us the VICTORY through our Lord Jesus Christ. 

1John 5:4-5

 For whosoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the VICTORY that overcomes the world, even our FAITH. Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God? 

+As Believes in Christ Jesus we are should not be looking to get VICTORIES. We already have the VICTORY over the devil, demons, sin, sicknesses, diseases, poverty, the world and the list goes on…

+All we are to do is to simply EXERCISE the VICTORY we already have in Christ Jesus over the situations.

2 Corinthians 5:7 

For we walk by faith, not by sight. 

Hebrews 11:6 

But without faith it is impossible to please Him (God)…

Romans 14:23 

…for whatsoever is not of faith is  sin. 

Hebrews 10:38 

Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back (his faith), my soul shall have no pleasure in him. 

-When we release our faith in God. God releases His Supernatural Miracle Working Power in us. 

Hebrews 6:12 

That all of you be not slothful (lazy), but followers of them who through FAITH and PATIENCE inherit the  promises.

❗Isn’t it strange how everyone wants front-row-tickets to concerts, film house or games, BUT they do whatever is possible to sit at the last row in the holy gathering?
❗Isn’t it strange how everyone wants a place in Paradise, BUT they don’t want to believe, do, or say anything to get there?
❗Isn’t it strange how we send jokes in emails, BBM,whatsapp, BC and they are forwarded right away,BUT when we are going to share messages about God, we think about it twice before we share it with others?

But let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or as a busybody in other people’s matters. Yet if anyone  suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter. For the time has  come  for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it  begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? Now “If the righteous one is scarcely saved, Where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?” Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to  Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator”[1 Peter 4:12‭-‬19].

STRIVING FOR PERFECTION 

Is perfection attainable? Absolutely,God would never tell us to do something that’s impossible. 

However , to be perfect requires complete obedience to His word and will.

Let’s  start with what Romans 12:1-2 tells us.

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which  is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God”.

WHEN YOU ARE STRIVING FOR PERFECTION,THERE WILL BE A LOT OF RESISTANCE. BUT GOD says,

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled”,{ 2 Corinthians 10:3‭-‬6}

LISTEN:

“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing”,(James 1:2‭-‬4 )

Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.(Matthew 5:48)

How do we strive for perfection?

“Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I  do,  forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus”{Philippians 3:13‭-‬14}

I could go on and on,but God says,

“Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma. But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them”,[Ephesians 5:1‭-‬7].

PERFECTION IS NOT A MYTH THAT’S UNATTAINABLE.

“….the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus”[Colossians 1:26‭-‬28].

“Epaphras, who is one of you, a bondservant of Christ, greets you, always laboring fervently for you in prayers, that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God”[Colossians 4:12].

FEAR

​What or who are you afraid of?

“And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell”.{Matthew 10:28}

ONLY GOD WE SHOULD FEAR

The Lord of hosts, Him you shall hallow; Let Him be your fear, And let Him be your dread.(Isaiah 8:13)

Proverbs 9:10 says,

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom…

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge…

FEAR: Reverence; an attitude of deep respect filled with awe for the Lord. 

+++People in the world has no fear or reverence for God. This means they have no wisdom and their knowledge is corrupted. 

+++You cannot make spiritual sense to them, and they definitely make no spiritual sense to you. 

Psalms 14:1 

The fool has said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that does good. 

+++Only the Holy Spirit can reveal Christ, spiritual knowledge and wisdom to those in the world. When we preach the gospel of Christ to the world the Holy Spirit used the word preached to enlighten their hearts and reveal the Person of Christ to them. 

Matthew 10:16 

…be all of you therefore wise as serpents, and  harmless as doves. 

Matthew 7:6

…do not cast your pearls (of wisdom) before swine’s lest they trample them under their feet…

GRACE

God’s Amazing GRACE

Ephesians 2:8 

For by GRACE we are saved…

+Grace is God imparting His righteousness, holiness, Holy Spirit and favor in us, upon us through us by the redemptive of His Son Jesus Christ. 

+Grace is the God given ability in us to do all that pertains to life and Godliness. 

+Grace are spiritual faculties given to us in the form of gifts, talents, and abilities by the Holy Spirit. 

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

“Jesus said to the Apostle Paul: My grace is sufficient for you: for My strength is made perfect in your weakness. And Paul said: Most gladly I will rather glory in my infirmities (weaknesses), that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 

for when I’m weak then I’m strong. 

+We need God’s GRACE today and everyday for the rest of our lives. 

+Thank God for His AMAZING GRACE.

I, the Lord , search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings” (Jeremiah 17:5‭-‬10).

YOUR CHOICE 

But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it. “See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the Lord your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess. But if your heart turns away so that you do not hear, and are drawn away, and worship other gods and serve them, I announce to you today that you shall surely perish; you shall not prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to go in and possess. I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that  I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”(Deuteronomy 30:14‭-‬20)

FINALLY 

May the Lord Keep You Refreshed, Rejuvenated, Revitalized, Re-energized, and Renewed with a FRESH and NEW ANOINTING in Your Spirit, Soul, Mind and Body.

Beloved, I wish above all things that you may PROSPER and be in HEALTH, even as your SOUL PROSPERS.
