When are you going to get it in your heads, at what point or stage in your lives that it will register in your brain, that the devil does not want anyone to be happy, contented, strong, and comfortable. It is his job, his main purpose, to keep you defeated, broke, busted and disgusted with life, with people, and ourselves. Every time you are on cloud nine the devil sticks a pin in it to deflate you, that’s because you allow him to stick his nose in.
The Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:7 puts it like this, “And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of satan to buffet (torment)me, lest I be exalted above measure; three times I pleaded (begged) the Lord to take it away from me, but He (God) said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
It is sad that when we face crisis’, trials, tribulation, and persecutions in life that we run to others for advise or try to solve it ourselves instead of going to God first. All the advise you get from people do blocks the driveway and prevents God’s divine word of truth, comfort, strength, and joy to drive in and settle our hearts and minds. How many times do you want Him (God) to tell you, to cast your cares upon Him? That is what 1 Peter 5:7 says, “Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” We also read in Psalm 91:1 that, “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High (God) shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Where are you abiding? Who are you talking to?
The only way the devil’s job becomes easy is when we allow him to stick his nose into our lives, minds, and hearts. Don’t you get it, he is already defeated. Jesus guarantees it, Jesus gave us the right to be more than conquerors ( Romans 8:37). God also tells us in James 4:7-8 what to do, it says,“Submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you; Draw near (close) to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners, and purify your hearts, ye double minded.” If we follow the instruction manual called the Bible, we can’t go wrong, it tells us in details what to do.
Stop allowing the devil to ruin your day and eventually your life. Don’t allow him to plant doubts, fears, defeat or anything negative and contrary to the word of God inside of you. Flush your thoughts with God’s word. David advises us in Psalm 119:11, to hide God’s word in our hearts, so that we will not sin against Him. Then Proverbs 3:6 tells us, “In all thy ways acknowledge Him(God), and He will direct your paths.” Matthew 6:33 tells us to, seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and He will add (everything that’s good and perfect) unto us. God does not want us to worry or fret about anything, that is of the devil; flush it out of your mind with the word of God.
One morning I awoke with a massive headache, I felt busted and disgusted, I just want to lay down. But I refused to be trampled, I refused to take any medication. I got up and thanked God for waking me up despite of how I felt. I brushed my teeth, washed my face, had a cup of tea, prayed and started reading the Bible. Before I knew it my headache was gone and the devil got the headache instead, and all because I was faithful to God and obediently followed His word; which tells me to seek Him first. Despite of how I felt, I got up. I refused to be defeated, to let the devil keep me down, Jesus got up from the grave so that I could get up through Him who strengthens me. It’s by his stripes I am healed.
Don’t allow the devil to zap you of your strength and your rights as citizens of heaven, as if we are hopeless, as if we have no right to the covenant promises of God. The devil is a liar and a thief, whose intention is to destroy us. But God would not allow that. He sent His only begotten Son Jesus (John 3:16-17) to redeem us, to claim us, because He loves us and does not want us to perish. It is not God’s wish or intention for any to perish with the devil (2 Peter 3:9). God kept His promise when He sent Jesus, but it’s up to you to accept Him.
We see in Ephesians 2:1-20 that, Jesus Christ came and broke down the wall, the barrier or the fence that separated us from God, and kept us out of His promises and plans. Listen it’s time to read the contract with your rights as children of God, as heirs of the promises of God for yourself. Don’t settle for hearsay. Know the promises, memorize them, and study them it’s all in the Bible. All that is required of us is that after we accept His son Jesus Christ, is that we present ourselves, our lives, and our bodies as a living sacrifice, that will be Holy and acceptable unto God, which is our reasonable service (Romans 12:1-2). Is that too hard to do?

Now unto Him who is able to keep us from falling, and to present us faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, whose strength we rely on when we are weak, who comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others, to the only wise God be glory, praise, honor, and thanks for using me to deliver His message to His children.
