DECREASE, AND LET GOD INCREASE

It’s so sad when a person can’t realize that, if your actions are going to lead people down the wrong path, then you must decrease so God can increase;John the Baptist did it so that Jesus was glorified, and  all of John’s actions were honorable, nothing to hide or be ashamed about(John 3:30). When you realize that people are talking more about you, than the God you serve, then you have increased and  God is decreasing, now that’s a big problem, and God is definitely not pleased with that;Don’t allow the wrath of God to come down on you ,because of disobedience(Ephesians 5:6),it will get worse before it gets better;Present your bodies to God,Holy and acceptable, that’s your reasonable service(Romans 12:1-2).

When you can’t see that you have crossed the line, and overstepped your boundaries, between the things and people of God then you are going down the wrong path. Because of greed, loss of title, loss of fame and fortune you are willing to sacrifice the souls, and lives of God’s children to sooth your ego and pride, then it’s wrong, and your supporters are blind, because they now turn from following God to following you. They that followeth vain persons is void of understanding(Proverbs 12: 11);Jesus said,’My sheep hears my voice, and I know them, and they follow me'( John 10:27).Listen people,be careful who you are following, the apostle paul, told the corinthian church,to follow him ,as he follow Christ (1 Corinthians 11:1),open your eyes,it’s not time to play games, and not be sure if you are Heaven bound or hell;God wants a glorious church, not having spot,or wrinkle,or any such thing;but it should be Holy and without blemish(Ephesians 5:27).

Listen, we are in the last days, where scoffers, are walking after their own lusts(2 Peter 3:2); God’s people don’t need no unnecessary distractions, to take our eyes off the prize, of the High calling of Jesus Christ(Philippians 3:14). We need to be watching and praying(Mark 14:38, Luke 21:36),instead of focusing on the troubles, and mess of this world, see then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time ,because the days are evil;wherefore be not unwise, but understand  what the will of the Lord is(Ephesians 5:15-17). When you refuse to decrease so God can increase, it shows that you are of the world, and an enemy of God, because you are looking at your losses, position, prestige, and not God. When a person is willing to sacrifice the souls of the people, which should be their primary concern, instead of bruised egos, then that’s a problem; The Bible says,Love not the world, nor its things,if you do, then Gods love is not in you, because in the world is the lust of the flesh, the eyes, and the pride of life(1 John 2:15-16).

In life there is a limit to how far you can go without God, some people are successful, because someone in their past generation prayed for something, and the blessings materialized on them, because God is faithful and true to His promises, but when you misappropriate His blessings, to serve the devil, the calamity, and punishment is severe. So children of God please stop following man and follow God(Ephesians 5:1), He sent His only begotten Son to save us(John 3:16-17), because man could not do it, so lets read the Bible and seek Godly guidance, He will see you through.

A TRUE FRIEND

Do you have any friends, that’s God sent, or do you know any? Do you have any that sticketh closer than a brother, or loves you unconditionally, at all times? Do you have any, who stick with you  through, thick or thin, good times and bad, up or down? I bet you don’t have one like mine, who gave his life for me, if you do then we have the same friend.

Let me tell you something, that’s mind-boggling. He considered me a friend before I even knew him. He didn’t even care about, what I look like, or my nationality, color, or creed. Wow! He didn’t care if I was tall or short, fat or slim, pretty or ugly, the thing that excites me is that, He is my forever friend, He is always there, He promised never to leave, nor forsake me (Hebrews 13:5).

Ladies and gentlemen, without further delay, let me introduce you to Him. His name is Jesus. The sweet rose of sharon, the lily of the valley, the bright and morning star. He is wonderful, a counselor, the Mighty God, the everlasting Father, the prince of peace (Isaiah 9:6). He is faithful, kind, compassionate, true, and forgiving. Yes He is all that and a bag of chips! He keeps all my secrets, and keeps no record of them, even when it’s against Him. Once I ask for forgiveness, He forgets them, and tells me to do the same.

Folks there is none like Him, and above Him there is no other. He is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one gets to God without going through Him (John 14:6). Don’t you want a true, authentic  friend like that? There is only one problem or stipulation. You can’t be a friend of the world, and be a friend of Jesus (1 John 2:15-17; James 4:4). If you want to accept and be His friend, go to the top of my blog, click on to the salvation page, and follow the instructions. It’s simple, after that’s done, you can sing like me, ”What a friend I have in Jesus, all my sins and griefs, He bears, what a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer… Oh, What peace we often forfeit,  oh, what needless pains we bear, all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.” When we walk, talk, be obedient, and live for Jesus, we will be known as His friend like Abraham was to God (James 2:23).

Here are a few scriptures on friends, for your reading delight: 2 Chronicles 20:7 ;Proverbs 17:17, 18:24; John 15:13-15; James 2:23; James 4:4-5.

I give God the glory, praise, honor, and thanks for using me to deliver this message to us. I hope it was edifying and uplifting to you as it was to me. I pray that those who have never known a friend like this, will accept Jesus, and allow Him, to lead, guide, and protect them now and forever in Jesus name, amen.

TEMPTATIONS

Temptation is the hardest thing to overcome.

A bag full of $100 bills, was left by a guard on the sidewalk, and the armored car pulled off. What would you do? All your bills are overdue? The car broke down, you are hungry, about to be evicted, again what would you do? I already know, that the person who is not a Christian would take it and split, but if you are a Christian what would you do?  Would it be wrong to keep it? Would you think it’s an act of God to supply your needs? Would you pay or give 10% of it as tithe and offering?

Well to be honest with you, keeping it would be a sin. Honesty is always the best policy. You did not receive it as a gift, and you did not work for it, so that would be considered stealing. The three main temptations of sin has just presented itself to us:

The lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh, and the pride of life (Luke 4:5-12). We always ask God, not to lead us into temptations (Matthew 6:13), so we shouldn’t have a problem turning the money in. It’s when we yield to the temptation that it becomes a sin, and a curse.

The Bible teaches us, “not to love the world, neither the things that are in the world” (1 John 2 : 15-17). Sorry, but I have to break it down for you. “The love of money is the root of all evil…” (1 Timothy 6:10).  “…you can’t serve God, and money.” (Matthew 6:24).

The Bible, clearly states, “seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and everything will be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33); This one is the true answer, “But my God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory, by Christ Jesus,” (Philippians 4:19) not your glory, or man’s glory, but His (God’s).

Yes, I know it’s a tough one. But that money would bring more misery than prosperity. Take a look at James 5:1-3, Proverbs 10:2, Proverbs 15:16 and Matthew 6:19-21. Now how do you feel after reading those scriptures? God is always faithful to deliver the Christian out of any temptation (1 Corinthians 10:13). That’s how good God is.
