ARE YOU CONTENTED ? “Not that I am implying that I was in any personal want, for I have learned how to be CONTENT (satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed or disquieted) in whatever state I am. I know how to be abased and live humbly in straitened circumstances, and I know also how to enjoy plenty and live in abundance. I have learned in any and all circumstances the secret of facing every situation, whether well-fed or going hungry, having a sufficiency and enough to spare or going without and being in want. I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].” (Philippians 4:11-13 AMPC).
CONTENT: To be satisfied to the point where You are not disturbed, anxious or worried.
-You are to be content IN the situation, but not necessarily WITH with the situation.
-Case and Point:
•If you are sick or in financial debt you are to be content (not disturbed, not anxious and not worried) IN the situation while expecting to be healed and to get out debt.
•If you are content WITH the being sick and with financial debt this means you have accepted and settled with being sick and financially broke without any desire to be healed or get out of debt.
“Now godliness with CONTENTMENT is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be CONTENT. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” (I Timothy 6:6-12 NKJV).
“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. As it is written: “He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever.” Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God. For the administration of this service not only supplies the needs of the saints, but also is abounding through many thanksgivings to God,..” (II Corinthians 9:8-12 NKJV).
“Let your conduct be without covetousness; be CONTENT with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” (Hebrews 13:5-6 NKJV).
-May you be CONTENT first and foremost IN the Lord, and secondly IN every situation knowing that the Lord is with you and also knowing the the Lord is your Portion and your Great Reward. Alleluia!
+++Blessed you are and blessed you will always be and to God be all the glory. Amen!
Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen.
[Jude 1:24-25 NKJV].
