CAN MONEY BUY HAPPINESS

Someone asked me if money can buy happiness? My answer, absolutely not, but it is definetly debatable. Why you may ask? Well the poor or destitute believe it can for the main reason that it would enable them to purchase the things they crave as well as do the things only people with money can do.

The affluent, rich and famous tell us a different story and paints a different picture. Keep in mind that if they were so happy there would be no divorces, cheating or scandals for the paparazzi to write about or take pictures of. Also realize that these people buy it all, do it all but interestingly enough they are still unhappy which tells us what? Money does not buy happiness.

Happiness is believed to mean a person who is contented in all aspects of their life like spiritually, physically and emotionally. Now, if you base happiness on affordability then it is only a temporary gratification of your fleshly desires which leads to physical and eternal death. Money will never buy permanent happiness, our happiness was already paid for by Jesus Christ and all you need to do is to accept and believe in Him.

It is written that:

” ‘No eye have seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man ( no mind conceived) the things God has prepared for those who love Him’. But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For what man aknoweth the things of a man, save(except) the spirit of man which is in him? Even so the things of God bknoweth no man, cbut the dSpirit of God. (v.12)Now we have received, not the aspirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.”

God has revealed these things to true Christians by His Holy Spirit for the spirit searches all things even the deep things of God….We, the true Christians, have not received the spirit of the world only the Spirit of God which is the Holy Spirit; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God ( 1 Corinthians 2:9-12).

True happiness  guarantees peace of mind, it is written,”He (God) will keep you in perfect peace, if your mind is occupied with Him”(Isaiah 26:3). You can only find true happiness in God.

NEED MONEY

How badly do you want it, and what are you willing to do, or prepared to do, to get it? There is nothing wrong with money, having it is not bad. It’s when you crave for it; will kill for it; steal to get it; do anything for it, that’s when it becomes evil, and then a problem.

The love of money, is the root of all evil, yes, it’s biblical (1 Timothy 6:10). When you allow it to dominate your life, then it diverts your attention from the maker, owner, and the giver of life, who is God.

I must let you know that you can’t serve two masters (Matthew 6:24), you will love one more than the other. The ones who have money in abundance, will do everything to keep it, and get more, the ones who don’t have it, will do anything to get it, yet they both forget who really, and truly owns, and has total control of it.

How sad it is that people would rather gain the whole world, and lose their soul (Luke 9:25). People fail to realize that money fails to solve life’s biggest problems, such as death, cure for diseases, lengthen their life, or the big one, give everlasting life.  A person’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things they possess (Luke 12:15). We need to break free from the evil gravitational lures of money, and seek the kingdom of God as our number one priority, and goal, then everything else will be added to you (Matthew 6:33). The answer is simple, seek God then look for the addition of wealth, health, and eternal life. Are you interested? Do you want it?

Just go to the top of this blog, click on to the salvation page, and follow the instructions, trust me you will be set for life. Hey! The streets of heaven is made of gold (Revelation 21:21), what else can I say.

TEMPTATIONS

Temptation is the hardest thing to overcome.

A bag full of $100 bills, was left by a guard on the sidewalk, and the armored car pulled off. What would you do? All your bills are overdue? The car broke down, you are hungry, about to be evicted, again what would you do? I already know, that the person who is not a Christian would take it and split, but if you are a Christian what would you do?  Would it be wrong to keep it? Would you think it’s an act of God to supply your needs? Would you pay or give 10% of it as tithe and offering?

Well to be honest with you, keeping it would be a sin. Honesty is always the best policy. You did not receive it as a gift, and you did not work for it, so that would be considered stealing. The three main temptations of sin has just presented itself to us:

The lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh, and the pride of life (Luke 4:5-12). We always ask God, not to lead us into temptations (Matthew 6:13), so we shouldn’t have a problem turning the money in. It’s when we yield to the temptation that it becomes a sin, and a curse.

The Bible teaches us, “not to love the world, neither the things that are in the world” (1 John 2 : 15-17). Sorry, but I have to break it down for you. “The love of money is the root of all evil…” (1 Timothy 6:10).  “…you can’t serve God, and money.” (Matthew 6:24).

The Bible, clearly states, “seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and everything will be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33); This one is the true answer, “But my God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory, by Christ Jesus,” (Philippians 4:19) not your glory, or man’s glory, but His (God’s).

Yes, I know it’s a tough one. But that money would bring more misery than prosperity. Take a look at James 5:1-3, Proverbs 10:2, Proverbs 15:16 and Matthew 6:19-21. Now how do you feel after reading those scriptures? God is always faithful to deliver the Christian out of any temptation (1 Corinthians 10:13). That’s how good God is.

WHOSE LIST ARE YOU ON

I was looking at Forbes list of the richest people in the world, and I did not see my name. Then it dawned on me, I was looking on the wrong list, my name shouldn’t be on that list. It’s on the heaven bound list(Luke 10:20). I don’t know about anyone else, but I would rather live forever, than be rich for thirty years and end up in hell.

When you die your money is no good, where ever you end up, bet you never thought of that, you spend your whole life trying to get it, and can’t take it with you.

The richest man who ever walked this earth was, King Jesus and He said,’it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God’ (Matthew 19:24).

How many of these multi – billionaires you hear of or know of, die ,and take money with them, or fame, popularity, or prestige, lets face facts. When you die, where ever you end up, there is no Forbes list, no popularity list, no nationality list, you get the picture. There will be two lists, one for heaven, and one for hell, which list are you on?

I know, I am on the heaven bound list, because:

1) I admit that I am a sinner in need of repentance.

2)I ask God to forgive me, and He did.

3) I believe that God, sent His only begotten son Jesus Christ to save me, so I accepted Him, and asked Him to come into my heart, and stay there. Since then I’ve become a new creature  and live for Him daily.

Your future can be secure also, just try Him. John 14:6 tells us,’He(Jesus) is the only way, truth, and life, no one goes to God without going through Him. Will you accept Gods gift now, tomorrow might be too late, do you really want to take that chance to continue living without God, do as I did and let Him into your heart.

I GIVE THANKS, PRAISE, GLORY AND HONOR TO GOD FOR USING ME TO SHARE HIS MESSAGE WITH YOU, MAY GOD BLESS, KEEP, AND GUIDE YOU DOWN THE RIGHT PATH IN JESUS NAME I PRAY, AMEN.
