WHICH WAY TO TURN?

Have you ever gotten to a turning point or crossroad in your life and wondered where to turn? Life has dealt you a few setbacks and some devastating blows, and now you are older and wiser, but the economy is not looking good, you are one paycheck from broke, or like others you have lost your job, home, car and even your spouse, or you lost a loved one. This is the time when you find out what you are made of and the tough gets going; this is not the time to give up or throw in the towel. Some like to say the fat lady sings, but  the only time the fat lady sings is at your funeral, and if you are reading this it means you are not dead. So, the big question is who do you turn to when you’re facing a setback or when you’re at your turning point? Politicians don’t have the answer or the solution, some of your friends and family members are the last folks you want to turn to or look to for advise or help; So my advise is to do like David said in Psalms 121.

“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills; from whence cometh my help? My help cometh from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved; He who keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, He who keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper; the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil; He shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, even for evermore.”

There is your answer to your prayers, that’s the only way out of your mess, turning to God is the only way out. The Bible has all the promises and is the only book that points the way to God. Are you ready to seek the only way to turn?

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee,” –  Hosea 4:6 

 This message  spoken years ago is also for us today; Then when we look in Ezekiel 18:20 – 24 which says, “The soul that sinneth, it shall die, the son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son; the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surly live, he shall not die…” Now you see the only way out is God, and the only one you can turn to and depend on is Him. What will your decision be? And which way will you turn? The Bible is full of answers for every occasion, and the only way to God is through His only begotten Son Jesus. SPREAD THE LOVE

If you are reading this it means you are alive. In that case let’s make a special effort today to spread love instead of hate, joy instead of sadness, peace instead of war, forgiveness instead of malice, encourage someone instead of putting them down, give instead of taking or receiving, say something nice to someone, instead of bashing them, help someone in need out of your vast resources, tell someone you love and appreciate them instead of always letting them feel un-loved and under appreciated, and bless someone instead of cursing them, is this too hard to do? Are you so full of hate, that you can’t love; so mean that you can’t give or share? Try it and see what a difference it will make in your life.

“Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice; and be ye kind one to another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God, for Christ’s sake, hath forgiven you.” – Ephesians 4:31-32

“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousy, wrath, factions, seditions, heresies, envying, murders, drunkenness, reveling, and the like; of which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” – Galatians 5:19 – 21

“But the fruit of the Spirit is: Love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, self-control; against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.” – Galatians 5:22-26 

I can’t add or subtract anything from this, I will just allow the word that is quick and powerful to convict you, and let you know that Jesus is the only way to go. IT’S TIME

When parents are burying their children, it shows you how things and times have changed. There is a time for everything, however most people refuse to take advantage of the time that is given to them to do the right thing. “That is why the Lord says, turn to me now, while there is time! Give me your hearts, come with fasting,weeping,and mourning. Don’t tear your clothing in your grief; instead tear your hearts, Return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful. He is not easily angered, He is filled with kindness, and is eager not to punish you. Who knows? Perhaps even yet, He will give you a reprieve, sending you a blessing instead of this terrible curse.” That is how the NLT version simplifies it. The KJV  says, “Now therefore, says the Lord, turn to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning; So rend your heart and not your garments; return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and He relents from doing harm. Who knows if He will turn and relent, and leave a blessing behind Him” (Joel 2:12-14). Do you really want to take the chance of not accepting Christ and not going to heaven? Everyone over eighteen in certain countries have the right to make certain decisions about their life, it’s time to choose your final destination; be it heaven or hell.

Why would anyone who is not certain about the amount of time they have left to live, be so evasive and nonchalant about their future? Times have changed so much, that as I mentioned earlier, life expectancy has drastically declined where parents are now burying their children, instead of the opposite, immoral activities are praised and encouraged, crimes and murders has escalated, and so many ungodly things are taking place. If this is not an indication of the last days, where we are experiencing perilous times then maybe I am blind and everyone is seeing things. 2 Timothy 3:1-7 gives us a vivid description of what is happening now. Don’t you think it’s time? If you haven’t accepted God’s gift of His son, Jesus Christ, then you are going to hell, because He is the only way to heaven. FROM BAD TO GOOD

Most people fail to realize that to get to the good things in life you will have to experience or encounter some bad things. If you never had a bad relationship, marriage, job, even friends, then you will never know what the really good ones are like. Therefore bad situations are experiences that leads or motivates you to seek better. The truth is, if you invest or sow all your time and effort into bad people and things, then you will reap bad. “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatsoever a man sows, that he will also reap; For he who sows to his flesh, will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life”(Galatians 6 :7-8). So who or what are you giving all your time and effort to? If you give it to God then you will reap good, but if you give it to the devil, you will definitely reap bad.

God tells us in His word that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him(Hebrew 11:6), which simply means if you do as Matthew 6:33 tells us, to seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness then He will add good things to you. You should also know that He only gives good and perfect gifts, according to James 1:17. When you seek God it means you are investing your time into Him, you are building a relationship which means you will reap the good that only He can give the best of, like a good relationship, a good job, a good car and whatever you need. However if you seek the things of the world before you seek Him, then you will reap bad, and you will be heading down the wrong path. Remember, He is a jealous God (Joshua 24:19) and no one likes to be second or last, especially Him.

If you have never encountered anything bad then it means you have settled, or compromised your values for anything or anyone. Some people take a few bumps and bruises, heartaches and heart breaks before they wake up, and stop going from bad to worse. Unfortunately the devil has opened our eyes and appetite to bad that we accept it as good. So Jesus had to come and show us the way, the truth, and how to do  good that leads to everlasting life, because no one was suitable or willing to sacrifice themselves for the good of mankind. We must realize that we don’t have the answers for everything, or to everything, but God does. That is why He advises us in Proverbs 3:5-6 to acknowledge Him in all our ways and He will direct our paths, if we trust Him. Unfortunately, most of us think we know everything only to find out we really don’t know anything.

Lets not despise every bad thing that happens to us in life, because some good always comes out of bad things, that’s why Romans 8:28 tells us that, all things work together for good to them that love God, and to those who are called according to His purpose. Do you love God? Are you one of the called according to His purpose? To seek and save the lost. Even Jesus was not thought of as good when Nathanael had the nerve to ask his brother if anything good can come out of Nazareth (John 1:46). Don’t let anyone doubt your capabilities of who you are and who you can become, or is entitled to, as children of God we know better days are always coming. Can you say or think like that? You can if you get to know Jesus and all the privileges we are entitled to through Him, and He is the only true access to God our Father (John 14:6).

WILL LOVE PREVAIL?

Todays generation has taken love to a whole different level, with a totally different meaning. The divorce rate would be less and divorce lawyers would have to find a new profession if true love prevailed. Imagine if people, especially Christians, would apply 1 Corinthians 13 to their lives, lifestyles, and truly obey and live by every word of this standard of love. Then maybe the statistics of single mothers and fathers would be less; instead of baby mothers and fathers, there would be husbands and wives; there would be no sugar daddies and hoochie mammas, because love would have truly prevailed and covered a multitude of sins, because we obeyed God’s standards for love. If love prevailed would there have been so much war and rumors of war? Is it too late to love as God intended us to love?

Will we ever get to the point where we love others as we love ourselves? In Romans 12:9-10 it tells us,”Let love be without hypocrisy, hate that which is evil, cling to that which is good;Be kindly affection one to another with brotherly love, in honor preferring one another.” Will we ever be able to love each other as Jesus loved us, and sacrifice or lay down His life for us, as written in John 15:13. Will we ever obey the added commandment Jesus gave us in John 13:34-35 and love each other as He loved us, so that all the world will know that we are His disciples, because love prevailed. Do I have to wait till I get to heaven, to see this type of love, that Jesus displayed, be manifested. God wants churches to be unified in love, not war, bitterness and contempt for each other, aren’t we serving the same God of the universe?

Jesus could have come down from the cross and saved Himself,He could have aborted the mission but He decided to die. After peeking into the future and seeing what He had to endure, He went to God in prayer, because His soul was exceedingly sorrowful even unto death; Jesus said, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; never the less not as I will, but as thou will.”(Matthew 26:8-39) Wen we look at Mark 14:34-36 and Luke 22:42 we see that they say the same thing in their own way. It was because of love for God and us with obedience to His Heavenly Father that love prevailed, and conquered a multitude of sins, and put us back in right standing with God, after Adam and Eve failed. Do you want to experience God-like love, that Jesus demonstrated, then accept Jesus and allow His blood to cleanse you from all your sins and make you new again.

Jesus displayed God’s Unconditional love, Agape love, Endless love, prevailing love when  He died  for us. This enabled us to have life and have it more abundantly. Do you want to pass up that experience of a life time? Who on this earth do you know would die for you intentionally, so that you could be free? THE BLAME GAME

It’s so easy to blame the other person when a marriage or relationship is shattered or in turmoil. It’s even worse when people fail to realize that if God is not present, nor acknowledged then the devil is. Playing the blame game is not the solution to the problem, it’s one of the devils tactics to take the focus off of defeating him, and eradicating him out of our lives. One thing  for certain is that the devil hates marriages, because it reminds him of Jesus’ connection to the body of Christ (the  church), so he invented same-sex marriages to taunt and mock Jesus. We need to realize that when God is the center of our lives and we love, fear, and obey Him; then the fruit of the Spirit will be in operation which are: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

However, when the devil is present in a marriage or relationship, you will find that people are lovers of their own selves more than lovers of God,  covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affections (2 Timothy 3:2-6). The solution to this growing problem is not to blame or point fingers, it’s to identify who or what is the main cause, which is the devil and his henchmen, who blind your eyes, and entice you into sin, therefore if you submit to God and resist the devil, he will have to flee, and if you and your spouse draw near to God He will draw near to you as James 4:7-8 reminds us. It’s so simple, if God put you together then no one can divide you (Mark 10:9). So why would you allow the devil to come into your lives and destroy it, stop playing the blame game and gang up on the true enemy and defeat him.

It’s so sad when couples look to people in the church for help, for solutions, and advice about their relationship and  later that private information about the couple is used in a sermon to trample you under their feet with smirks on their faces; which reminds you that they are not God. Jesus told us in Matthew 7:6 ,”Give not that which is holy unto dogs, neither cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet and turn again and lacerate you.” Then you better learn to go on your knees for yourself and cry unto God, who is a present help in time of trouble and need, because no one can answer for God, He does not need an advisor nor instructor. He is God all by Himself, and if you are walking in righteousness, you need to know that the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous availeth much (James 5:16). God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we may ask or think,according to the power that worketh in us (Ephesians 3:20).

A marriage should be founded on Christ the solid rock, in order for it to last, with both of you looking to Jesus the author and finisher of both your faith. Without the triangle of God as the head, then the husband and the wife, with both of you looking and seeking the creator for answers in unity then you will allow the other fellow to come in and steal, kill and destroy your lives, home, and children. Stop fussing, fighting, blaming, and pointing fingers at each other, and join forces on your knees to destroy the enemy. The devil is already defeated, you just have to keep him defeated.

WEAK OR STRONG

Societies perception of a weak person is entirely different, from God’s perception of someone weak. There is a difference between a weak unbeliever and a weak Christian, who is walking in righteousness; allow me to break it down. A weak person who does not know God does not have Him to cover their back, no one mighty and powerful to come to their defence; But a weak Christian, who knows God personally, knows that He is their refuge and strength, plus a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1-11). Who are you looking to for help? The government, your friends, family, the job, who all need help and a bailout package. Listen, “The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, is my strength, in who I will trust; My shield, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower”(Psalm 18:2).

A weak person in the world does not have the God of the universe behind them, because they refuse to accept God’s only begotten son Jesus Christ, they refuse to turn from their evil ways, they refuse to acknowledge that there is a God. However, a weak believer or Christian have the blessed assurance to know that if they wait on the Lord, He will renew their strength, and enable them to mount up with wings like an eagle, they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). As a Christian you better know God’s word for yourself, so you can defeat the enemy; that’s what Jesus use to defeat him (the Word/the Bible). Jesus told him like it is, “It is written.” In Luke 4:1-14, He sent the devil away, by telling him what God’s word says and mean. James 4:7, tells us to draw close to God, resist the devil and he will flee. For him to flee you better exercise the power and authority Jesus gave us, in Luke 10:19, to tread upon serpents, scorpions and all the power of the enemy.

As a weak Christian you better remember that there is no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit (Romans 8:1). You better know that weeping only endures for a night but joy comes in the morning, read it for yourself in Psalm 30:5 and Isaiah 65:19. Let the devil know, “Because we through the spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith, for in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availed anything, nor un-circumcission, but faith which worked by love (Galatians 5:5-6). Yes as a child of God, we do get to a point where we might not feel like praying or can’t pray, but remember this, The Holy Spirit which we are sealed with until the day of redemption (2 Corinthians 1:22) helps us in our infirmities; because we don’t know what we should pray for as we ought; But the Spirit Himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered, and He that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is in the mind of the Spirit; Because He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God (Romans 8:26-27).

However, we must understand as Paul did in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, where God reminded him that, “His (God’s) grace is sufficient for him, for God’s  strength is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me, therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecution, in distresses, for Christ’s sake; For when I am weak, then I am strong.” Children of the most High God lets be strong in the Lord, and for those who don’t know the Lord and want to know Him so that you too can be strong, go to the top of this blog, click on to the salvation page, and follow the instructions, so that you will never be weak and defenseless again. CHRIST-I-AM-NOT-SATANS

A Christians motto should be: CHRIST–I–Am-Not-Satans. Who was it that paid the price for us? Who was it that died for us? So, who do you belong to? If we belong to God, through His son Jesus Christ, then we should follow Jesus’ example and be about Our Father’s business.We should not be conformed to this world, but be transformed, by the renewing of our minds as we see in Romans 12:2 and Ephesians 4:22-23. Jesus was and still is our perfect example of how we should walk, talk, and live for God, in righteousness, Holiness and perfection. It bothers me when people put their pastors, bishops, spouses, and other people above Jesus’ example of Godly living. John 14:6 distinctly tells us that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, and no one goes to God (Our Father) without going through Him(Jesus). And just in case you don’t know or have not heard God only has one begotten son, who He sent to take away the sins of the world and His name is Jesus, it is written in John 3:16.

No, I am not saying it’s easy by any stretch of the imagination. It is so easy to say and write these things but to live it, walk it, and display it is very difficult if we don’t rely on God’s word, and Jesus’ and others in the Bible. Yes, it is do-able, because Jesus showed us how it’s done, and the Holy Spirit that resides in us, and as 2 Corinthians 1:22 tells us, “Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the spirit in our hearts.” The Holy Spirit is Himself the seal, it’s a finished transaction, the devil can’t touch us unless we let him. Ephesians 1:13 says,”In whom ye also trusted, after ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also after ye believed, ye were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.” WOW ! That’s music to a Christians ears. So we can boldly say with pride that Christ-I-Am-Not -satans. You are a child of God act Christ-like.

If you are not a Christian, who is a child of God through His son Jesus Christ, then here is an opportunity to be one. THE ULTIMATE GIFTS

As the saying goes, “The cow never knows the use of its tail, until he loses it.” Most people fail to realize that God has given us multiple gifts. Every morning He opens our eyes, gives us breath, enables us to walk, talk, hear, feel, and smell. All these things, my friends, are all gifts from God. If you don’t believe that what I am saying is true, then lose one of these gifts after you get used to having them and you will understand. The gift that’s better than all the others was the ultimate gift of His only begotten Son (Jesus Christ) who gave us another ultimate gift, His life on calvaries cross, so that, we might have eternal life. John 3:16 shows as that, Jesus was an ultimate love gift from God to us. Did you accept it? “But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ; Wherefore, He saith, when He ascended up on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.”  – Ephesians 4:7

Please don’t lose the opportunity of accepting this gift while you have a chance, because it guarantees eternal life. “For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”(Romans 6:23). No matter what you think or hear, Jesus Christ is the only way, the truth, and the life, and no one goes to God without going through Him (John 14:6). Don’t allow the little god of this world called satan to deceive and blind your minds, that you will not believe this fact. This is what 2 Corinthians 4:3-4  says, “But if our gospel be hid, it is hidden to them that are lost; in whom the God of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believeth not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” ARE YOU ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE?

How shall anyone escape if they neglect so great salvation? (Hebrews 2:3-4); This is not a game, there is a God, and He is going to destroy the heaven and earth and make a new heaven and a new earth (Revelation 21:1). And all those who accept His ultimate gift of His son Jesus Christ will have the experience of a lifetime, because “God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be anymore pain; for the former things are passed away.”(Revelation 21:4). Why anyone would refuse this deal of a lifetime is beyond me, the department stores don’t have a better deal than this, nobody on earth has a better deal than what God has offered us.

But the fearful, and unbeliever, and abominable, and murders, and fornicator, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death( Revelation 21:8). Is this where you want to end up? Well you have a choice accept Jesus Christ, God’s ultimate gift to mankind and you will not burn in hell. 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” But Romans 10:9 gives you more details, it says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Why delay any longer? Then, as a believer, you receive spiritual gifts, with the opportunity to use them in love. We read this in 1 Corinthians 12:3-11,

“So I want you to know how to discern, what is truly from God: No one speaking by the spirit of God can curse Jesus, and no one is able to say, ‘Jesus is Lord’, except by the Holy Spirit. Now there are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but it is the same Holy Spirit who is the source of them all. There are different kinds of service in church, but it is the same Lord we are serving. There are different ways God works in our lives, but it is the same God who does the work through all of us. A spiritual gift is given to each of us as a means of helping the entire church. To one person the Holy Spirit gives the ability to gives wise advice; to another He gives the gift of special knowledge. The Spirit gives special faith to another, and to someone else He gives the power to heal the sick. He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and to another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to know whether it is the Spirit of God or another spirit that is speaking. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, and another is given the ability to interpret what is being said. It is the one and only Holy Spirit who distributes these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have.”

Now unto Him who is able to keep us from falling, and to present us faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy. To the only wise God, our Savior, be glory, honor, praise, and thanks for using me His humble servant to relay this message to His children. To Him be dominion and power, both now and forever, in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

A CLEAN HEART

God is the only heart specialist that does not need tools. The Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts (1 Chronicles 28:9).  ” I  will give you a new heart and put a new Spirit within you;I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh,and give you a heart of flesh.I will put my spirit  within you  and cause you to walk in my statutes,and you will keep my judgements and do them” (Ezekiel 36:26-27).God promises to give us a new heart and a new spirit which will cause us to walk righteously,and be obedient to His word,that is awesome.

The heart, my friends, is deceitful and desperately wicked above all things (Jeremiah 17:9-10). Jeremiah 17 verse 10 reminds us that God searches the heart. So when we put our trust in man, we are gambling with our life. According to Jeremiah 17:5-7 a person is cursed if they put their trust in man, but if you put all your trust in God then you are blessed.

Our heart is what the Lord requires from us, but it has to be clean and pure. Read Ezekiel 36:26, Ephesians 4:24, and 2 Corinthians 5:17 which means a new heart turns  you into a new person, or a new creature.

Allow God to give you a heart transplant. Jesus Christ is the donor and God is the heart specialist. Read the prayer on the Salvation Page and receive the new heart God has for you by accepting His son Jesus.
