ABIDE IN HIS LOVE

Love is the most powerful weapon in the world, when we use it appropriately, and bestow it in its proper perspective. Love will always make you do right, because where love is hate cannot manifest its ugly self. True love is contagious, and if you allow it to fester it will spread like a wild-fire out of control, then it will cover a multitude of sins (Proverbs 10:12; 1 Peter 4:8), then  the world will be a better place. Love started with God, was manifested through Jesus(John 3:16), and was given to us.

In John 15:9 Jesus said, “As the father loved me, I also have loved you; abide in my love”. To abide is to stay or remain in His(Jesus) love, you must realize that when you step out of the boundaries of Gods love, that’s when you expose yourself to all manner of hurt and pain. Jesus did not leave it at that, He told us the only way to abide in His love is to keep His commandments, yes it is the same ones that was given to Moses in Exodus 20. No my friends it’s not impossible to do, Jesus came and showed us that it’s do-able and possible way of life.

When Jesus walked on this earth, He kept His Fathers (God) commandments and abide in His(Gods) love ( John 15:10). Now if we abide in Jesus’ love, and keep His commandment to love each other, then His joy will remain in us, and our joy will be full then this world will be a better place;the devil love it when we hate each other,hurt each other,and kill each other,because he gets the glory and your chances of  having everlasting life will be doomed ,because his is doomed;The wages of sin is death;but the gift of God is eternal life (Romans 6:23).

Do you know who or what it is ? well John 3:16-17 tells us that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son (Jesus)that whosoever believeth on Him(Jesus),will not perish but have everlasting life,Jesus did not come to condemn us but to save us,put us back in right standing with God;Listen there is no other way,or access to God except through Jesus (John 14:6);you will not escape Gods wrath and judgement when you neglect His love,His gift of His son(Jesus),and the opportunity of salvation( Hebrews 2:3).

IS IT FOOLISHNESS

They say belief kills and belief cures,but I ask belief in what?or who? It is a fact, that if you believe in satan you will  die,but believe in Jesus Christ and you will be saved,and have everlasting life(John 6:40).Most people believe in Jesus Christ yet there are those who don’t,who do you believe in ? Are you one of the foolish people the Bible speaks about?

The apostle Paul, in 1 Corinthians 1:18 tells us that the message of the cross(which is about Jesus’ crucifixion) is foolishness to those who are perishing,but for those who got saved by it,we see it as the manifestation of the power of God.How ironic it is that the scientist, archeologist,and all those so-called experts,also the over educated,and wise people ,fail to explain or clarify certain occurences or events that’s happening ,yet they still refuse to admit,recognized,and acknowledge that there is a God,and Jesus Christ is His (Gods) only begotten son(John 3:16).

For it is written: I (God) will destroy the wisdom of the wise,and bring to nothing the understanding or intellect of the prudent; Where is the wise? Where is the scholar?  Where is the philosopher of this age? Has God not made foolish the wisdom of the world?……………. (1 Corinthians 1:19-20);For example,does the meteorologist give you an accurate account of the weather? Did anyone find a cure for death? or cancer? ….For since the wisdom of this world knew not God,it pleases God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe; you may not know this, but the foolishness of God is wiser than man      (1 Corinthians 1:25).

There is nothing wrong with being wise,the Bible tell us to be wise as serpents( Matthew 10:16);Ephesians 5:15-16 tells us, to walk circumspectly not as fools but as wise,redeeming the time because the days are evil;But we are told in Romans 12:16, not to be wise in our own conceits.These scriptures are not referring to worldly wisdom or carnal people, it’s talking to christians, who are fools for Christ’s sake,but wise in Christ;we are weak, but you are strong;you are distinguished,but we are dishonourable ( 1 Corinthians 4:10);But we are wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus (2 Timothy 3:15).

How shall we escape,if we choose to neglect so great salvation(Hebrews 2:3);now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ,according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began,but now made manifest,and by the prophetic scriptures made known to all nations ,according to the commandment of the everlasting God,for obedience to the faith;to God only wise,be glory through Jesus Christ for ever.amen.

PREPARATION

Preparation beats elaboration any day. Lawyers always prepare for a case, before they go to court, if they plan to win. Doctors prepare for surgery, before they start operating on the patient. The soldier has to practice before he goes off to war. All occupations require the individual to study and practice as often as possible, in order to be successful at their professions. Everything we do in life we have to be prepared for, the question is, how well are we prepared? How do we prepare? and what are we preparing for?

 As children of God we must be prepared to receive God’s gifts, prepare to submit to God and resist the devil, prepare for Jesus’ return, prepare to fight the good fight of faith, and lay hold on eternal life (1 Timothy 6:12). Preparation is not an overnight thing, and it cannot be done in a day. Preparation starts with  our hearts and minds so we can receive the things of the spirit of God (1 Samuel 7:3; Proverbs 16:1).

However, as Christians we must study to show ourselves approved unto God a workman that needed not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15). As soldiers in the army of the Lord, Ephesians 6:15 (AMP) tells us to shod our feet in preparation to face the enemy with the surefooted stability, the promptness, and the readiness produced by the good news of the gospel of peace. We must be ready to spread the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ over the whole world(Mark 16:15-16). How beautiful upon the mountain are the feet of him who brings good tidings, who publishes peace, who brings good news, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion your God reigns (Isaiah 52:7, Romans 10:15).

 We must let the word of Christ dwell in us richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms,  hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord (Colossians 3:15).Lets get it together saints, 1 Peter 3:15 tells us, “to be ready to give an answer to everyone that asked us for a reason of the hope that is in us“. We are in the last days, Jesus went to prepare a place for us ( John 14:2), are we preparing for Jesus’ return? Are we walking circumspectly, not as fools but as wise people, redeeming the time, because the days are evil (Ephesians 5:15-16). CONDITIONAL LOVE

Conditional love is not genuine and will never last, because it’s founded on a stipulation; it’s based only on selfish desires. The truth is when you purchase someones love, in the long run it won’t be worth it, because it is conditional. That’s one of the reasons many marriages end in divorce, because most people now-a-days get married, for the wrong reasons. Marrying, because of the persons financial status, and not because they are compatible to you is dead wrong.

Most people will say there is nothing wrong with marrying someone with a high financial status, but when you examine the relationship, you will realize that the foundation of it is based on materialism and not love. Which means when certain conditions and/or wants are not met, then you are out hunting for the next victim who has the money or the thing that you want; when the money runs out, you run out with it. When the conditions of your love stops, then your love disappears.

Now, imagine if Gods love was conditional, where would we be? If Jesus’ love was conditional, would He had gone to the cross?  In Jeremiah 31:3(NL*) the Lord appeared unto Jeremiah, saying that “I have loved you with an everlasting love; with an unfailing love I have drawn you to myself” now that is reassuring. When you do not have the love of God in your heart as John 5:42 states, then your love will be conditional, and you can’t even love God or His son (Jesus Christ) who gave His life for you, who purchased your sins with His life, because of unconditional love.

People who love conditionally will turn against you and God in an instant, like Job’s wife in Job 2:9, who wanted Job to curse God and die, because her luxurious lifestyle suddenly  diminished or vanished. All this occurred because God wanted to prove to the devil, that Job’s love for Him was not conditional. Read it for yourself Job chapters 1-2.

Is your love for God conditional or unconditional ? Will you be able to pass the test like Job, if  satan accuses you? Will you declare like Job, “Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him” (Job 13:5).

How is your relationship with God? Did you accept His gift, of His only begotten son Jesus Christ ? Who or what are you waiting for? Why aren’t you seeking the Lord while He may be found,and calling on Him while He is near; let the wicked forsake his ways, and the unrighteous man his thoughts, and let him return unto the Lord, and God will have mercy upon him, turn to God who will pardon you abundantly. Just remember God’s thoughts and ways are different from yours (Isaiah 55:6-9).

Because of God’s unconditional love for us, John 3:16 tells us, He sent Jesus to mend the relationship between God and us. Jesus said, “I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance”( Luke 5:32). Jesus also told us He is the way, the truth, and the life, no one goes to God without going through Him ( John 14 :6, Romans 3:23-24). HE THAT DWELLETH IN THE SECRET PLACE OF THE MOST HIGH GOD,SHALL ABIDE UNDER THE SHADOW OF THE ALMIGHTY.(PSALM 91:1). WHERE ARE YOU DWELLING? WHO ARE YOU DWELLING WITH?  ARE YOU ABIDING UNDER  GOD? HUMILITY

Most people in life do not know how to be humble. They believe they are entitled to get certain things. They feel that they should always be seen and heard. They crave love, attention, and exaltation but the bible tells us that the people who exalt themselves will be humbled. Those who are humble will be exalted (Luke 14: 11).

Some people desire the best of everything and always put themselves before others. They think they are better than everyone and some people see it as confidence. While others see it as selfishness. The Bible proclaims that those who are first will be last and those who are last will be first(Luke 13:30). Then you have those who are having functions such as parties, dinners and weddings where they only invite the people with affluence and significance. They feel that those persons will be indebted to you and later return the favor; but where is the substantial benefit in this? Your substantial benefit is found and recieved when you invite those who can not repay you. Your blessings will flow and your reward is found in heaven with God almighty.

Jesus was the perfect example of humility. Why you may ask? Firstly, he was the son of God who willingly became poor so others could have riches in abundance in the heavens. Secondly, he became a man to draw all men to the father. Thirdly, he came into a sinful, dirty and perverted world for many reasons but the ones I can think of first are: to save us, show us how to live, give us direction to God and travel on a journey to show us that it is possible. Jesus came by humble beginnings so that no one could have a claim to Him. In other words Jesus came for everyone and it does not matter if you are rich or poor, black or white, or even from the north or the south. He was and still is available to all of us.

It is written in John 3: 16 that God so loves the world, and it did not specify, color, denominations, or nationality. Folks there is only one way to God and that is through Jesus Christ, his only begotten son (John 14:6,John 8:32). Would you like to meet Him? EVIL

But evil men and seducers shall become worse and worse,deceiving,and being deceived;this know also that in the last days perilous times shall come,for men shall be lovers of their own self….traitors,heady,high-minded,lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God ;having a form of godliness,but denying the power of it..(2 Timothy 3:1-5).

Be not wise in your own eyes,fear the Lord and depart from evil ( Proverbs 3:7). an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart,bringeth forth that which is evil ( Luke 6:45)It is appointed unto men once to die ,but after that the judgement (Hebrews 9:27).How shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation (Hebrews 2:3).

GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT

Did you know that God has given everyone supernatural gifts through the holy spirit? Can you name them? Do you even know how they function and operate? All of Gods children have at least one supernatural gift, the question is do they realize that they have it? Do they know that this gift is for our own good? I know you are eager to know them if you don’t and this is what they are. 

There are nine gifts of the Holy Spirit that are broken down into three categories. The first category is the revelation gifts which are:the word of wisdom,the word of knowledge and the discerning of spirits. All three reveal something supernatural to the believer. The second category are the power gifts which are: the gifts of healing, the working of miracles and also  faith. These three deal with the supernatural. The third and last category are the utterance gifts which are : prophecies, interpretation of tongues and diverse kinds of tongues. All three say something about the supernatural (1 Corinthians 12:7-10). Remember that “The natural man does not receive the things of the spirit of God;for they are foolish unto him. Neither can he know them because they are spiritually discerned(1 Corinthians 2:14).

Most people are so busy seeking prosperity that they do not exercise their God-given power and right. It is written “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you;and you shall be witnesses unto me in Jerusalem,  Judea, Samaria and unto the uttermost  part of the earth” (Acts 1:8).

Here is another scripture that delves into the heart of spiritual gifts, ‘Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions,  over all the power of the enemy,and with this nothing shall, by any means, hurt you’( Luke 10:19). Listen, the devil wants us to live a depleted and defeated life. He is after our power and authority because if you know about it and use it against him, he has no choice but to flee. Saints of God do not allow him to steal, kill and destroy you. Read the word of God and empower yourself. Study the word, meditate on it and exercise your gifts. BE CAREFUL

Be careful for nothing,don’t  worry,don’t get anxious.But in everything by prayer,and supplication with thanksgiving let you request be made known unto God.So that the peace of God which passes all understanding shall keep your hearts and mind through Christ Jesus.(Philippians 4:6-7)

REWARDS

Everyone likes to be rewarded for the things they do, the effort they put out, the time and money they spend or invest in people or things, and it does not matter where either; it could be at home, work, school or church, we want to feel appreciated or special, or that it was worth it. However most people fail to realize that what or who you invest most of your time, money, and effort in, is who or what you will be rewarded with; everyone has a reward coming to them whether it’s good or bad it all depends on the person. Be not deceived, God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man sowed that shall he also reap…(Galatians 6:7-10); it’s simple if you give kindness your reward is kindness, if you dish out hate your reward is hate.

There is a reward for righteousness, and righteous people  (Psalm 58:11; Proverbs 11 :18), and for the unrighteous ( 2 Peter 2:13; Proverbs 24:20). Our Heavenly Father loves diligence and faithfulness, that’s why “He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6). It is written that we should seek God first and His righteousness, and He will take care of our needs (Matthew 6:33), that’s what I call a great investment, because your reward is great; you have a great reward when you do good, when you are righteous (Psalm 19:9-11; Matthew 5:12; Luke 6:23&35).

What kind of reward are you looking for? The ones you put on a shelf that has only momentary and temporary rewards or the one that gives you salvation and lasts for ever. As Christians the only reward we should be looking for  is well done thou good and faithful servant, and like Paul we can boldly state, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith, henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord the righteous judge, shall give me on that day (2 Timothy 4:7-8). Listen friends time, money or anything invested in the God of the universe yields great rewards(Matthew 10:40-42).
