FREE GIFTS ARE GOOD

People love to say that anything that is for free is not good. That’s a lie, because salvation is free and it is good. Jesus paid for it with  His life so you and I can have it for free. To me that is an expensive gift that is already paid for. Don’t allow the devil to give you the things of this world, that will be useless in the end, because it’s only temporary, but salvation is for life. Capitalize on this opportunity. Most of us blame Adam and Eve for our sinful nature,yet most of us are in the same predicament,and are making the same wrong choices and decisions that Adam and Eve made in the garden of Eden (Genesis 3). However,it always frustrates God to see His best creation in His image and likeness(Genesis 1 :26) be separated from Him. Therefore to redeem us and bridge the gap between us, it had to be someone divine and supernatural,because no earthly sacrifice was suitable or sufficient,so He had to send His only begotten son  Jesus (John 3 : 16-17),without a doubt He was the perfect one,pure and without sin.

In Romans 3 : 23-25 we learn that all have sinned and come short of God’s glory,and the only way to God is by His grace through the redemptive work of His son Jesus Christ,whom God presented as a suitable sacrifice of atonement through faith in His blood. So since Jesus completely satisfied the just demands of a Holy God for judgement on sin,by His death on the cross,it opens the  channels of communication between man and God,which makes us accessible to Him.Now to take advantage of such a privilege,we must go through the proper procedure or steps,and one of them is salvation. Do you know what salvation is ?

Salvation is the transformation of a person’s individual nature and relationship with God.To simplify it for those who don’t get it, you must change from doing wrong to doing right,evil to good,hate to love,sinful to sinless.This require a human decision as we read this in John 3:17-18,”For God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world,but that the world through Him might be saved,He who believes in Him is not condemned,but he who does not believe is condemned already” John 3:36 and 1 Peter 2:4-8 are supporting scriptures. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ,and it’s not of ourselves,but the gift of God,and certainly not of works lest anyone should boast (Ephesians 2: 8-9);Then Titus 3:5 reminds us,that it’s not by works of righteousness,which we have done,but it is according to God’s mercy.

Salvation is a step by step process, First you need to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ as we read in Romans 10 :11 -17 “Faith comes by hearing,and hearing by the word of God….”.Then we must  faith,then put our faith into action by believing in Jesus Christ as seen in Romans 1:16-17 and Romans 8 :34. Next we confess faith in Jesus as seen in Romans 10: 8-10,then repent of your sins as we see in Romans 2 :4-5 and Romans 6 :1-2,next we get baptized in Christ as we see in Romans 6 :3-4.By this you should be getting acquainted with your Bible,because to get close to God you must read it and follow His guidelines to Godly living and Romans 12 : 1-2 tells us how to start,it reads ” I beseech you therefore,brethren, by the mercies of God ,that you present your bodies a living sacrifice,holy,and acceptable to God ,which is your reasonable service,and do not be conformed to this world,but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God”.There it is all in black and white.

Salvation is free,so if you want it ,go get it,because only Jesus Christ alone can let you have it,because He is the only way,the truth about Gods existence,love and mercies,and more,He is the only one who can guarantee you eternal life John 4:16 spells it out,so what are you waiting for,go get the best free gift you will ever get;As I stated in the beginning go to the top of this blog,click the salvation page and follow the instructions.To God be the glory ,praise,honor and thanks for using me to share this with you.

REASONS TO BE THANKFUL

If you can’t think of twenty-four things that God has done for you, that you are thankful for at the end of the day, then you are dead because dead men tell no tales, and can’t say thank you. If you have nothing to thank Him for, then you are not of this world and you belong in the underworld. Stop and think of ten things or reasons to give God thanks. Allow me to help you get started:

  1. He woke you up. It doesn’t matter what time but He did, and remember He didn’t have to, don’t get it wrong or twisted you could not do it on your own.
  2. Second, He gave you breath. Without it you can’t breathe, smell or do anything. Trust me it’s a loan because He can take it back at anytime, which simply means you are dead or will be in a millisecond.
  3. Third, He clothed you in your right mind. In other words you are not mentally incompetent, where you can’t even help yourself. Did you take that for granted? Ephesians 5:20 tells us to give thanks always for all things unto God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
  4. The fourth thing is, are all your body parts operational or functional? That is something to thank Him for, because many people don’t, yet what you take for granted many people wish they had. Can you see, hear, smell, taste, and touch without difficulty or not at all.

These are just simple things most people take for granted, and are ungrateful of because they fail to realize that it’s all a part of God’s love, grace, mercy and favor to us through Jesus Christ His son. Let’s add a few other things to be thankful for, a job, food, shelter, clothing, a car, children, a spouse, and so many other things. But we are so caught up and consumed with the things we don’t have, we forget to thank Him for the things we do have. It’s like the guy complaining about his old shoes, till he sees someone with no shoes happily singing and skipping down the road, before he realize he has more to be thankful for. If you are a child of God, you have plenty to be thankful for, and we can boldly say, “But thanks be to God for giving us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 15:57

After you compile your list of the things you should be thankful for, make a list of how many times you thanked Him, and compare them both. Now, who do you think loves who the most? Despite our un-gratefulness, God still provides for us. Despite of how unthankful we are, He still wakes us up, and showers us with these luxury items we take for granted.

However, if you have nothing to thank God for, then you are not living or alive; as I said earlier dead men can’t talk. I must tell you the truth, God desires and deserves more than your thanks, He wants you to live forever, to praise, and glorify Him. It is not His wish that any should perish with the devil in the pit of hell, burning with worms eating you alive. So why don’t you give Him your life, your time, your heart, and your soul, so that your final destination will be a blessing and not a curse, something to be thankful for, instead of having regrets. God has blessed us so many times since we were born, if we should add up the things He has done for us till now, it would surpass our present age. Think about it: His grace, mercies, unlimited and unmerited favors, countless blessings seen and unseen, the list goes on. Let me repeat, if you have nothing to thank God for then you are not His child, you belong to the devil and your destination is hell.

Once you have accepted Christ you are in the body of Christ and you are part of the family.

IS IT YOUR TIME?

Why not meet your maker before you meet the undertaker? You never know when it’s your time to die. No matter how many funerals people attend, sickness they overcome, or deaths they see they never get the message; that one day, that dead body will be theirs. The question is do you know where you are going? What have you done to make sure you end up on the right side and in the right place? Do you even care where you end up? Do you even believe that there is a God? One thing for sure is that the time to believe and accept God’s gift of His only begotten Son is now, because you don’t know when it’s your time to die. Why anyone would take that chance and gamble with their future doesn’t make much sense. Why must you play russian roulette with your life when you know the consequences is eternal death.

What will it take? How long must He wait? Trust me, even though God is full of grace, mercy and compassion He will not wait on you forever. Even though He is a limitless God, that doesn’t mean your time is limitless. Psalm 32:10 says, “Many sorrows shall be to the wicked; but He that trusteth in the Lord, mercy shall surround him.” Then Hebrews 2:2-3 tells us, “For if the word spoken by angels was steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward; How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation…” Listen if God is calling you, then it’s your time. “Today if you will hear His voice, harden not your hearts as in provocation”  Hebrews 3:15.

You better meet your maker before you meet the undertaker it’s your time to come boldly before the throne of grace, to obtain mercy….( Hebrews 4:16)

PERCEPTION

How do you see yourself? As an ordinary person or an extra-ordinary person, as natural or super-natural, as wise or foolish. Most people view themselves as others see them, as educated, rich and famous, or as a low life uneducated bum, but the only one we should be worried or concerned about is God, and how He sees us. God doesn’t care how we look, how much education we have, what size we are, nor where we are from, He just loves us and gave His son for us. God did not look at color, creed or nationality when He sent Jesus Christ; He was not concerned about your bank account, nor your status, He sent Jesus to save not condemn. So, why is that so hard for some to see and understand.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life, for God sent not His son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” –  John 3:16-17  

Do you believe this or don’t you? Do you see yourself accepting the fact that Jesus did come and die for your sins or don’t you? Where do you see yourself going, to heaven or hell? Do you even see yourself dying? Where are you going when and if you should die? In John 14:6, it tells us that, Jesus is the way, the truth and the life and no one goes to God except through Him. So how does your future look now that you hear the truth?

THANK YOU LORD

Those of us who live to see 2012, have so much to give God thanks for. We need to thank God for waking us up each day, for every trial and storm He brought us through, for every mountain, for every valley that has the shadow of death; for every evil  and disappointment that He turned into good. I don’t know what you want to do or are going to do but I give Him all the glory, the praise, and the thanks, because one thing I am certain about is that, God always finishes what He starts. He that begin a good work in you, will perform it to the end, it’s written  in the Bible. Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”  The Bible said it.I believe it. So that settles it. GOD WILL SEE ME THROUGH 2012 LIKE HE DID ALL THE OTHER YEARS. SO MY HOPE, MY TRUST, AND CONFIDENCE IS BUILT ON ONLY JESUS CHRIST FOR 2012. Don’t forget John 14:6, “Jesus saith unto him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.'” Again the Bible said it, I believe it,that settles it. DO YOU BELIEVE?

NEW YEARS RESOLUTION

People love to make new years resolutions and before the month of January ends they break them, while others will stick it out until the summer. However, by the end of the year it’s all in the garbage or out the door. Steve Harvey said his grandmother or his mother always said, “If you want to make God laugh then tell Him your plans.” Which is true and Biblical, because Isaiah 55:8-9 says,”For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,’ says the Lord.” If you read further, the verse talks about how the distance between our thoughts and God’s thoughts are not even close. Therefore, you better seek God and ask Him what is His new years resolution for you.

Most people fail to realize that God told us in Jeremiah 29:11,”For  I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord…” Do you know the plans He has for you? Is your new years resolutions your plans or His? Is it your will or His will? Are they your desires or His desires? How do you know what will happen tomorrow? So what are you planning? (Read James 4:13-17) Did you know that your steps are ordered by the Lord? It says so in Psalm 37:23, so you should be seeking His new years resolution for your life and not your hidden agenda, not your hidden plans, not your resolutions; don’t forget that your plans and ways are not like His, as I mentioned earlier. Your resolution should line up with God’s plans for you, which will be better than your own plans.

So this year don’t make your own resolutions for the new year, but seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, as it says in Matthew 6:33 and allow God to add the husband, the job, the house, the car, the dog and even the boat if it’s what your heart desires. Is there anything too hard for God (Jeremiah 32:27) or are you one of the folks Jesus was referring to when He said, “Oh ye of  little faith.”(Matthew 6:30)

No my friends this is not impossible, listen to what Matthew 19:26 says, “But Jesus looked at them and said to them,’With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’” So lets trust God with our new years resolutions, because He is the only one who knows the future.

This new years allow God to make your resolutions, and seek Him for His will, and ways Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to, Trust in the Lord with all our heart; and don’t rely on our own understanding, but instead acknowledge Him in all our ways so that He can direct our paths. Proverbs 16:3-9, Psalm 37:23, and Jeremiah 10:23 and many more scriptures all point to God as the one who will direct us into the future. Do you know Him or want to know Him?

Study to show yourself that you are approved unto God a workman that needs not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth and most importantly shuns profane and vain babblings; for they will increase unto more ungodliness (2 Timothy 2:15-16). May God give everyone who reads this the spiritual necessities to receive this word in Jesus name, Amen.

LIVE

Because Jesus lives I can face tomorrow. Because He lives I am more than a conqueror. Because He lives I have eternal life. Because He lives I am an overcomer. Because He lives He keeps me in perfect peace. Because He lives by His stripes I am healed. Because He lives I can resist the Devil and he has to flee. Because He lives I receive grace, mercies, favor and blessings everyday.

That’s why I live for Jesus because He LIVES!

Because Jesus lives I live. Because he lives I can sing. Because He lives I can rejoice, because He lives my weeping only endures for a night and joy comes in the morning. Because He lives I can love my enemies. Because He lives I can forgive those who use and abuse me. Because he lives I am free from sin.

Are you free from sin? Are you living because He lives? Take this opportunity and accept Him so you can live, because He lives.

A GOOD GIFT

This is the time of year when most gifts are given. Most of us like our gifts and some of us don’t, but I say, “It is the thought that counts.” God thinks you are worthy of a gift. God, years ago, considered us worthy of a gift, so He sent Jesus, His only begotten son, just to redeem us, so we could be called His children, and be entitled to all the other gifts He has for us. It’s sad when at this time of the year most people have not accepted the best gift of all, Jesus. It is when one accepts Jesus that they will have a right to God’s other gifts.

God said that, “No good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly” Psalm 84:11. Are you walking uprightly, Holy and righteously so that God will give you good things? Most people fail to realize that God wants to give us the desires of our hearts, that’s why we need to read the Bible to know how to walk upright, and to know what we are entitled to as children of God who are walking in righteousness. As children of God do you know all the gifts you have received and are entitled to on a daily basis and not just once a year at Christmas.

However, I must inform you that your sins can and will stop God’s gifts from coming. Jeremiah 5:25 tells us “Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withheld good things from you.” God will not give you anything if you are going to give it to the devil, that’s why He sent Jesus, to take back everything the devil stole from us, and give it back to us,that’s why in Luke 10:19 He tells us,“Behold, I (Jesus) give unto you power to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

Jesus is the reason for the season. Jesus came so that we can get back in right standing with God  and  receive the full benefits and privileges of the children of God. We have so many gifts as children of God some of us seem to forget. Like the gift of eternal life, we are entitled to the Abrahamic promises and all the promises written in the Bible, our citizenship is in heaven, and so much more. So you tell me, have you received the ultimate gifts from God already?  What gift could you receive this holiday that could top, what you already have from God?

If you haven’t received any of these gifts or you are not entitled to any you could change all that right now. You will not get or be entitled to any of God’s gifts without first accepting His ultimate gift of His son Jesus Christ. Let me assure you God will not give you anything until you know who it’s coming from? Which is Him, and why you received it? because of His son Jesus Christ, and your obedience to remain faithful, Holy and righteous to Him. Give God the gift of your heart this Christmas, and you will get all the gifts He has in store for you.

JESUS OR SANTA CLAUS

Jesus is the real santa Claus, and He does not need a chimney, nor reindeer’s to take Him from place to place. His gifts are real and not perishable, plus we get it all year-long not just at Christmas time. His gifts are good and perfect. James 1:17 tells us that ,”Every good, and  every perfect gift is from above,and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” His gifts are not fake, and He always delivers, no matter the time of day or the weather conditions.

Another thing, Jesus does not lives in the North pole, but He lives anywhere and everywhere He chooses, because He is omnipresent. Parents it’s time to stop telling your children and grand-children about santa Claus. Let the children know who Jesus is and the best Christmas gift that we ever received from Him; was Him coming to give His life so that we could reconnect with God and have eternal life. Listen, God is the only one who supplies our needs according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19 ), not santa Claus. Are you interested in knowing who Jesus is and what He has done for you?
