Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, IN whatsoever state I am, to be content.
CONTENT: To be satisfied to the point where You are not disturbed, anxious or worried.
-You are to be content IN the situation, but not necessarily WITH with the situation.
-Case and Point:
•If you are sick or in financial debt you are to be content (not disturbed, not anxious and not worried) IN the situation while expecting to be healed and to get out debt.
•If you are content WITH the being sick and with financial debt this means you have accepted and settled with being sick and financially broke without any desire to be healed or get out of debt.
-May you be CONTENT first and foremost IN the Lord and secondly IN every situation knowing that the Lord is with you and also knowing the the Lord is your Portion and you Great Reward. Alleluia!
JUST REMEMBER WHAT GOD SAYS IN HIS WORD :
♧ “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me”. (Philippians 4:6-13).
♧ “O fear the Lord , ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord . What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good? Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile. Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry. The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all”. (Psalms 34:9-19).
♧ “For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved. Lord , by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled. I cried to thee, O Lord ; and unto the Lord I made supplication. What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth? Hear, O Lord , and have mercy upon me: Lord , be thou my helper. Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness; To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever”. (Psalms 30:5-12).
♧ “Better is little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble therewith”. [Proverbs 15:16]•
+++Blessed you are and blessed you will always be and to God be all the glory. Amen!
