There is only one good shepherd and His name is Jesus. He is the way to God and He opens the door for us to go to the Father; anyone who does not go through Jesus is known as a thief and a robber (and like their father Satan they only come to steal, kill, and destroy as John 10:1, 10 tells us). In today’s society there are many and they are known as false prophets, the anti-Christ and atheists; who are all counterfeits. Besides the original one and only Jesus Christ; who is God’s beloved Son and the only way, the truth and the giver of eternal life, plus, the only access to God – there is no one else.

Most people want to think that Jesus is just a regular prophet and man, but there was nothing regular about Him. He was holy, righteous, and without sin. He endured hardships, temptations and every trick of the enemy, that’s why God made Him the door and the way to have access to Him. We who follow Him, know not only His voice, but His works through the Holy Spirit by which we are sealed until He returns.

As a Christian you should know the voice of God apart from anyone elses especially that of a thief who comes to steal, kill, and destroy. That’s why the Bible tells us to be sober and vigilant because the enemy is like a roaring (hungry) lion seeking someone to devour. We can see how active he is in these last days. The devil is seeking, killing and destroying the lives of our young men and women, this is why we have to put our spiritual armor on daily and pray without ceasing.

It’s time for the church to be unified and active. We have the power and authority that Jesus gave us when He gave us the keys to the kingdom in Matthew 16:19 and Matthew 18:18 to bind and loose. Plus, according to Luke 10:19, we are also given power to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy. We are acting like we are afraid but God never gave us the spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7).

When we listen to the voice of Jesus and are obedient then we have no problem following Him. We will be known as His disciples and we will be exercising the power and authority He displayed over the enemy. Obedience is better than sacrifice.

Jesus is the only one who can lead you in the path of righteousness. Receive Him into your heart and life today.

Some stores, to get you to keep shopping at their store, offer reward points with the intent of giving you a discount or a gift if you have accumulated a certain amount of points. Everyone loves to be rewarded for something they did, while others love rewards whether they earn it or not. There are all kinds of rewards, some are honorable, while others are not. However, all of God’s promises are honorable, and we must know that, “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness, but is longsuffering towards us, not willing that any should perish, but that all come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9).Which tells us that when God tells us that He will reward us, we can look forward to it without hesitation or doubt. My assignment today is to shed some light or share with you some of God’s rewards; And like He told Abraham in Genesis 15:1 “Fear not, I am thy shield, and thy exceedingly great reward,” He wants us to feel and know that, this promise goes for us also, because Jesus gives us a right to it.

These rewards, however, are contingent upon your righteousness, in 2 Samuel 22:21-25 David said, “The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath He recompensed me. For I have kept the ways of the Lord, and have not wickedly departed from my God; For all His ordinances were before me; and as for His statutes I did not depart from them. I was also upright before Him, and have kept myself from mine iniquity. Therefore the Lord hath recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to my cleanness in His eyesight.” There is one expert’s testimony of how and why God rewards  His children, His faithful subjects, His fearfully and wonderfully made humans that are in accord to His image. Are you portraying God’s image to receive His rewards? Are you righteous and holy enough to inherit these Godly rewards?

“The  law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the ordinances of the Lord are true and righteous altogether, more to be desired are they than Gold, yea, than much fine gold; sweeter also than the honeycomb; Moreover, by them is thy servant warned, and in keeping them, there is great reward”(Psalm 19:7 – 11). The wicked worketh a deceitful work, but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward (Proverbs 11:18). Rejoice when you are persecuted for being a Christian, because you have a great reward in heaven (Matthew 5:11-12).” But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again, and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be sons of the highest; For He is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil”(Luke 6:35). Are you interested in Godly rewards, not the kind the world gives? Then keep reading.

And whatever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance; for ye serve the Lord (Colossians 3:23-24). Don’t be discouraged because you have to be righteous to receive Godly rewards, in the stores and anything you do in life, you have to do something to get the benefit of a reward, however, Godly rewards are more satisfying and rewarding. Therefore, we are encouraged not to in Hebrews 10:35 it says, “Cast not away, therefore, your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward. “My friends, Hebrew 11:6 tells us clearly this, “But  without faith it is impossible to please Him(God); For  he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” You don’t expect God to reward you if you not serving Him, do you? Don’t look at those people who don’t serve God and have the things of God abusing it, because they have a different kind of reward going to them, that you definitely do not want. Here is one reward for the unjust found in Revelation 20:15 “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

Yes, my friends, having your name written in the book of life in heaven is one of the greatest rewards one could ever have or get,and the only way to get that reward, which is the most coveted, is to accept God’s gift of His only begotten son Jesus the Christ as John 3:16-17 clearly shows us. Jesus Himself tells us in John 14:6 that He is the only way to God. This reward is so good that when the disciples were celebrating their earthly reward of demons subjecting to them in the name of Jesus, He distinctly told them in Luke 10:20 “Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” Is your name written in heaven? That is the greatest reward one could ever get, because with that reward comes many others. Why would anyone choose to occupy their mind with negative, evil, and bad thoughts which leads them into a state of bitterness, anger and frustration, which then escalates into sadness and  a disgusting mood. This just doesn’t make sence. Most people see me and ask why  am I so happy, when the economy is bad and people are unemployed, but why should I dwell on the negatives when I think of the positives. I can think on the goodness of Jesus and what He has done for me and allow my soul, heart, mind, body and Spirit to rejoice, and shout,”Hallelujah! Thank you Lord for sending your only begotten Son Jesus Christ to save a wretch like me. Thank You God, that He has gone to prepare a better place for me and will come and receive me unto Him so that I can be where He is (John 14:2-3).” When will you finally realize that this world will change and people will change, but God, nor what Jesus did will never change.

When people dwell  or occupy their thoughts with evil, it’s because they are evil. Whatever you feed your thoughts is what you are; Proverbs 23:7 supports this by saying, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he, eat and drink, saith he to thee, but his heart is not with thee.” And if Jesus in Matthew 9:4 knew the evil thoughts of the scribes before they even said a word, don’t you think our Heavenly Father knows your thoughts, and your deeds, even if no one else does. 2 Corinthians 10:5 tells us to, “Cast down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” We are told to control our thoughts, because if it is not of God, it will lead you in the wrong direction. Some folks like to think that they are better than others, but that’s not good either, because Romans 12:3 and Galatians 6:3 tells us not to.

“For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornication, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness, all these evil things come from within, and defile the man.” – Mark  7:21-23 However, when we control our thoughts it will be occupied with what Philippians 4:8 says, “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise think on these things.” Why would anyone chose to be preoccupied with evil and be driven out of their minds, when you can have peace of mind, and sweet serenity by thinking on Godly things. But to be able to think on Godly things you must seek Jesus Christ, who takes away the sins of the world, and is the way, the truth and the giver of everlasting life, plus the only way to God Our Father.

The heart is priceless, it is our prized possession. That’s why we can’t give it to the wrong people because they will destroy it, because they don’t know the true value of it, and if they don’t know the true value of it how can they take care of it. Most people don’t realize that the heart is the most essential part of the body. If you think I have no idea or clue as to what I am saying, then allow the heart to stop beating and you will see that nothing functions when it’s not beating; the blood will not flow to the other parts of the body.

It’s very important that you chose the right person to give your heart to because it is just too delicate to entrust it to just anyone,because then they will have the opportunity to totally destroy it. Your heart is holy and sacred and it belongs to God. Matthew 7:6 says it best, “Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.” How many of us wished we heard those words before we fell in love with the wrong person, who broke our hearts, before we turned to God to fix and repair it.

It is then we realize that the only person who you should give your heart totally to is God, because He created it, and is the best person to nurture and handle it with care. This is why He advises us to seek Him first and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33) so He can add the other ingredients to your life, such as a good and loving spouse, good and loving children, which leads to a good and loving family. The God we serve never looks at external attributes, He goes directly to the heart (1 Samuel 16:7); which tells you who you are dealing with.

The heart is where evil thoughts originate from. Matthew 15:19-20 says it best,”For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornication, thefts, false witness, blasphemies; these are the things which defile a person…” Then Proverbs 14:20 lets us know that the heart knows its own bitterness; that’s why God looks only at the heart and knows who is His and who isn’t. You only have one heart, and it can’t be divided, but if you put Him first, in the top spot, then the devil does not have a chance to destroy it or you. God’s number one desire from the start is for us to serve Him with all our heart it says so all over the Bible.

Deuteronomy 11:13 and 1 Samuel 12:20 tells us, to serve Him with all our hearts. Are you doing so? Then Matthew 22:37 and Luke 10:27 tells us, “You must (shall) love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” Who or what do you have occupying God’s position (place) in your heart? You better evict them before it’s too late. For those who are not saved, must I remind you that God is a jealous God (Joshua 24:19) and if you forsake Him, He will forsake you; remember also that the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it? (Jeremiah 17:9-10) Only God knows it, “I the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.” Are you ready to give your heart to God?

God and His word is the only discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12). So again I ask who would you rather trust with your heart? Trust me and billions of others it will be the best thing you will ever do. There will be no more heartache and pain because your heart will be under God’s protective custody. Who do you trust? Someone who sees in the distance, up ahead, around the corner or someone who sees only the tip of their nose. Remember the person who see in the distance, also see the dangers that are waiting and is able to warn or prepare us for a fight, or just simply change our path so we can avoid all the unnecessary traumas and dramas that is up ahead. When we are warned of the dangers ahead we have a choice to fight, run, or take another route. Proverbs 3:5-6 advises us to trust in the Lord,with all our hearts,and lean not,unto our own understanding,and in all our ways acknowledge Him,and He will direct our path. There is your answer,of who to trust.

However, the one who only sees as far as the tip of his nose is open to unseen dangers near and far, they are attacked suddenly, without warning. They are not prepared to fight, it’s too late to run, hide or even change direction. So because they are near-sighted they are in a constant battle, and involved in daily fights, turmoil, and struggles. But all they have to do to change all that is allow the only person who sees the future, who knows the way, and who tells the truth, into their lives. That person is Jesus Christ. John 14:6 says that He is the one, and John 3:16-17 tells us that God sent Him. So what more do you need to know or hear? The choice is all yours, walk in the light to the light, or keep fumbling around in the darkness of this world, and be beaten without hope or a future.

On the American currency it says, “In God we trust,” so why use it if you don’t trust God. Go find a currency that doesn’t say in God we trust since you neither trust or believe in Him.

Why are you enjoying His sun, His air that you breathe, His food, His clothes, and His shelter. Everything in heaven and earth belongs to God; including you whether you choose to trust and serve Him or not.

Why do you want to enjoy the benefits of His goodness, grace and mercies and you don’t believe in Him, trust Him our refuse to serve Him.

Whether you want to believe Him our not, I just wanted to remind you that, “The earth is the Lord’s, and all the fullness thereof; the world and they who dwell therein (Psalm 24 and 1 Corinthians 10:26).

If you hate God so much then go use the devils things. Well if you can’t find anything he owns, it’s because he doesn’t own anything, it all belongs to God. The question God has for you is,”Why do you spend money for that which is not bread? And your labor for that which satisfieth not ? Hearken diligently unto me,and eat that which is good,and let your soul delight itself in fatness. Incline your ear come unto me;hear,and your soul shall live,and I will make an everlasting covenant with you,even the sure nercies of David. Behold,I have given him for a witness to the peoples,a leader and commander to the peoples… Seek ye the Lord while He may be found,call ye upon Him while He is near; let the wicked forsake his way,and the unrighteous man his thoughts,and let him return unto the Lord,and He will have mercy upon him,and to our God;for He will abundantly pardon” {Isaiah 55:2-7}. The world cannot receive the Holy Spirit because it does not see Him or know Him. To know the Holy Spirit you have to accept God’s gift of His Son Jesus Christ. You have to repent or turn away from your sins. You have to present your body as a living sacrifice  that is Holy and acceptable to God. You must also obey His commandments which is proof that you love Jesus and you will receive the Comforter(Holy Spirit); this is the only way Jesus will manifest Himself to us or reveal Himself. So, revelation comes through personal relationship with God and only those who love Jesus will do as He says.

If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him. -John 14:7

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. – 1 Corinthians 2:14

1 Corinthians 2:14 tells us that the natural man cannot receive the things of the Spirit of God. This is confirmation from John 14:17 that the world cannot receive the Spirit of Truth, which is the Holy Spirit, because it only survives where truth, honesty, and good is. Anyone who can’t see or  receive the truth from God’s word does not have the Holy Spirit living in them. While in some He is a part-time resident because when they confess and turn from sin He comes in, but when you go back to your old sinful ways He is gone, because He can’t live and will not dwell in filth.

Why is it so easy for people to blame and hate God, for sickness, diseases, death and destruction of anyone when it is the devil who caused all this in the first place? Why don’t they ever blame the devil and turn against him? What has the devil ever done for anyone, but steal, kill, and destroy? The devil didn’t wake you up this morning, as a matter of fact he doesn’t do anything for you and will never do anything for you, his main objective is to steal your joy, happiness and every good and perfect gift God has for you. In John 10:10  Jesus reminds us that, “The thief cometh not but to steal, and to kill, and to destroy; I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” So why are you agreeing with the thief, by blaming God? Instead of blaming the one who is responsible for all this mess, when he deceived Adam and Eve into disobeying God. The devil definitely can’t stop you from going to hell or heaven, the choice is yours, but he is not going to make it easy for you he will hound you until you give up or die .Don’t let him win!

The devil is not your friend or family, he is your adversary. In 1 Peter 5:8 we are told to,”Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary, the devil, is like a roaring lion walking about seeking whom he may devour.” Now do you see who is the cause or root of your problem? The devil does not like you, because you are made in the image and likeness of God, so everyone who accepts Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour becomes a target of his(the devil) because when he sees us he sees the God in us, and that gives him a migraine, a headache, so he has to get away from you. What you must understand is that when the devil is mad at you and attacking you it’s not a problem because he is already defeated and he knows it, however he does not want you to know it, so he tries to frustrate you, annoy and irritate you so you would give up, that’s why you have to put your armor on as Ephesians 6:10-18 describes it.

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles (tricks and deceptions) of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of  the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore, take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day; and having done all to stand. Stand, therefore, with your lions girded about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness, and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, with which ye shall be able to quench the fiery darts of the wicked, and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.”

God already gave us the victory through Jesus Christ, yet we walk around defeated, busted and disgusted;Identify the enemy,and apply God’s word; You better wake up and realize that the devil can’t send you to heaven or hell, the choice is yours, and you can’t blame God because He provides a way of escape through His only begotten Son Jesus. We see in John 3:16, “For God so love the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever, believe will not perish but have everlasting life.” What has the devil given you? What is he offering that is better than what God has to offer? Did you know that God owns everything, so the devil really has nothing to offer but death and destruction. Who would you rather tick off? God or the devil? The devil has no power over you but God does. We arouse God’s wrath when we don’t speak the truth about Him this we see in Job 42:7.  Even though God sent Jesus to remedy the situation, we still want to blame God and refuse to accept the solution to the problem, which is accepting His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.

Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? The best hospital in the world is the church; it is the only hospital that you feel good going in and better coming out.  You go in a sinner and come out redeemed by the blood of the Lamb; you go in dirty and come out clean; you go in sick and come out healed, you go in with your burdens and leave without them you go in lacking knowledge and come out understanding, and knowing what Jesus had to go through so you could be liberated.  However, this only happens when you find the right one, where the people love, worship, and praise God, in sincerity and truth. Then as you walk in, your troubles will vanish, broken hearts will be mended, people are healed, delivered and set free.

It’s the only place where you know for a fact that the King of glory will come in and give us the victory over everything. Who is the King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle; Lift up your heads, O ye gates! and be lifted up, you everlasting doors! and the King of glory shall come in  (Psalms 24:7-10). The Bible also says in Matthew 18:20, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” So you know without a shadow of a doubt that the Holy Spirit will  have us on one accord, and the presence of the Lord will have us singing and dancing as if we are drunk with wine, just like the day of Pentecost in Acts chapter two.

The church is the only place you can go to be perfected, to do work in the ministry, and be edified in love as we see in Ephesians 4:12-16. So if you are not being edified, loved, uplifted, and exhorted then you are in the wrong place, so run. Because in Hebrews 10:24-25 it reads, “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the day approaching.”
