HOW TO BE,AND NOT TO BE.

There are people who just love to tell you what to do,but don’t practice what they preach;they called themselves Bishops,Pastors,Christians, etc. But Jesus called them hypocrites.

Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to His disciples, saying: “The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat.  Therefore whatever they tell you to observe,  that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do.  For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.  But all their works they do to be seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad and enlarge the borders of their garments.  They love the best places at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues,  greetings in the marketplaces, and to be called by men, ‘Rabbi, Rabbi.’  But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi’; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren.  Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.  And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ.  But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant.  And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted. “ But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.  Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. Therefore you will receive greater condemnation. “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves. “Woe to you, blind guides, who say, ‘Whoever swears by the temple, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gold of the temple, he is obliged to perform it. ’  Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gold or the temple that sanctifies the gold?  And, ‘Whoever swears by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gift that is on it, he is obliged to perform it. ’  Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gift or the altar that sanctifies the gift?  Therefore he who swears by the altar, swears by it and by all things on it.  He who swears by the temple, swears by it and by Him who dwells in it.  And he who swears by heaven, swears by the throne of God and by Him who sits on it. “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone.  Blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel! “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence.  Blind Pharisee, first cleanse the inside of the cup and dish, that the outside of them may be clean also. “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness.  Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness. “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you build the tombs of the prophets and adorn the monuments of the righteous,  and say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.’ “Therefore you are witnesses against yourselves that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets.  Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers’ guilt.  Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell?  Therefore, indeed, I send you prophets, wise men, and scribes: some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city,  that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.  Assuredly, I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation.{Matthew 23:1‭-‬36}.

GODLY  SUGGESTIONS:

Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in  it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless. Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.{James 1:21‭-‬27}.

IS IT WORTH IT GOING  TO  HELL FOR ?

Is the pleasures of this world, worth going to hell for? You can’t walk with God and hold on to the devil, you can’t serve two master’s. So ask yourself,is what I am doing with my life worth going to hell for?

Sins temporary sweetness always leads to  bitterness, sooner or later. Let me put it another way, does temporary satisfaction accomplish anything worth while, besides costing you more than you wanted to lose? However, when you look deep into your self was it really worth it? Because no matter what you do or where you go you have to come back to reality, you have to face life with its ups and downs and the problems that accompany them. Most people fail to realize that they are just jumping out of a frying pan into a fire, which is worse and burns, because the grass only looks greener on the other side until you get over there, then it’s too late, to turn back, because you have burned your bridges behind you. Therefore, sin whether it’s done intentionally or not, always carries a penalty, which eventually leads to death of something or someone.Don’t let sin entice you to death.

Most people like to make comments like: “I only have one life to live, so I am going to live it,” or “I am doing what makes me happy.” The sad thing about these people is that they are never happy no matter what they do or say, they are still miserable, frustrated, and stressed out. Then try to put on a show for the public like they are on top of the world when the world is on top of them. The next thing they fail to realize is that it’s not their life, it’s a loan or gift from God, which He can reposes or claim at anytime, so what are they talking about living their own life, WAKE UP IT’S NOT YOURS, hello!!! If sin makes you happy then, you are on your way to hell, where you will be in a real fire and where there is no escape. Keep believing there is no hell, hopefully you will not find out when it’s too late.

Most people educated or not always think they are so smart, always think they can get away with sin, this is the reason the prisons and cemeteries are over populated. They think they are so wise, but Proverbs 3:7 says,”Be not wise in thine own eyes; fear the Lord, and depart from evil.” Who do you really think you are fooling? No one but yourself, because God sees and knows everything and His warning is “Be not deceived, God is not mocked, for whatever a man soweth, that shall he also reap; For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption, but he that soweth to the spirit shall of the spirit reap life everlasting.” – Galatians 6:7-8 Now that you know all this, is it worth it?

Is it worth wasting your time doing evil or living a life that is not yours? Your life is a loan from God, what do you intend to do with it for the rest of your life? Do good or evil? The choice is yours. The only thing that’s worth anything in life is salvation, a life liberated in and through Christ Jesus. Do you want that kind of life? If so, then go to the top of this blog, click on to the salvation page, and follow the instructions. Living for Christ is the only thing that’s worth it. Try Him today.

To God be the glory, praise, honor and thanks for using me to inform you this day, may His Holy Spirit give you the necessary tools needed to grasp and act on His words. And I by the power given to me in Matthew 18:18 and Luke 10:19, I bind the hand of the enemy and its forces, who try to steal this word, and blind your eyes, and harden your heart from receiving this truth and acting upon it, and I ask the Lord to loose the Holy Spirit and the Heavenly host to deliver this message safely to whomever God intended it to reach, because it will not return to Him void, but will accomplish what it is meant to do, in the omnipotent name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.

KNOWING and OBEYING GOD’S VOICE

+Sensitivity to the VOICE of God is needed to be led by the Spirit of God.
You have to tune out,and turn off the voices of others in order to hear God clearly.
How can you know, that is God speaking, if you don’t shut out the advise ,and opinions of others.

Now the Lord came and stood and called as at other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel answered, “Speak, for Your servant hears.” Then the Lord said to Samuel: “Behold, I will do something in Israel at which both ears of everyone who hears it will tingle.
{ 1 Samuel 3:10-11}.
Jesus said in John 16:13,
“Nevertheless when HE, the Spirit of truth, has come, HE will guide you into all truth…”

And in John 10:27 He said,
“My sheep hear my VOICE, and I know them, and they follow me:
Also John 10:4 says,
And when HE puts forth HIS own sheep, HE goes before them, and the sheep follow HIM: for they know His VOICE. When you study the word or God,and pray daily, you will have no problem knowing the distinct and clear voice of God.
+We live by the Word of God. The Word of God comes from the VOICE of God.
+The Word of God is the basis by which we are led by the Spirit of God.
+Studying and Meditation in the Word, along with Prayers, Thanksgivings, Praises and Worships unto God make us well-acquainted with the Voice of God (Holy Spirit).

To be tuned in to God’s voice,Colossians 3:12-17 suggests that we

Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of  mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as  Christ forgave you, so also do all of you. And above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also all of you are called in one body; and be  all of you thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever all of you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving  thanks to God and the Father by him”.

•Continue to let the WORD of God be the standard for your life. Always LOVING others like Christ Jesus loves us while keeping our faith, trust and confidence in Him.
•BLESSED you are and BLESSED you will always be and to God be all the GLORY. Amen!

YOU HAVE TO ENCOURAGE YOURSELF

”But David encouraged himself himself in the Lord his God”{ 1Samuel 30:6b}. Like David you have to learn to encourage yourself in the Lord your God. Do not faint, give up or lose heart. Because, your current situation is not your final destination. You may have taken a hit but keep ticking,it’s not over till God says it’s over.

You may be sick but you will get healed. You may be bound but you will be delivered and set free. You have taken a lost but it’s not for nought ;it’s for a greater gain. You may have fallen but you will rise again. So get up and give God the glory and praise,as 1 Corinthians 15:57 says, But Thanks be to God, Who gives us the VICTORY through our Lord Jesus Christ.Blessed you are and blessed you will always be and to God be all the glory. Amen!

START LIVING VICTORIOUS

Thanking God for a new year and starting it out in victory.

Remember:

Philippians 4:13

You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. Hosea 4:6

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…

-Through Christ we have been graced with the God given ability, where by we can do all things. Our problem, is that some of us are ignorant of this God given ability in us.

-When you do what God has placed in your heart ,it will make changes for the better in your life and the lives of others.

-Follow your heart. God’s way of communicating with us, is Spirit to spirit or Heart to heart.

Proverb 4:23

Keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

-Do not let anything get between you and God.

-Anyone or anything that tries to get between you and God is someone or something that is trying to be your God.

TO LIVE VICTORIOUS,YOU MUST APPLY THESE PRINCIPLES.

Govern Your Thoughts

2 Corinthians 10:5

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Proverb 23:7

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he…

-The thoughts you think good or bad can eventually go from your mind (soul) to your heart and then to your body, and also to other areas of your life.

-Your thoughts can affect you. Only think thoughts that are good and healthy.

Philippians 4:8

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are True, Honest, Just, Pure, Lovely, things that are of Good Report; if there be any Virtue, and if there be any Praise, think on these things.

-Remember thoughts can become beliefs, and beliefs can become a reality. Govern your thoughts.

•Continue to let the WORD of God be the standard for your life. Always LOVING others like Christ Jesus loves us while keeping our faith, trust and confidence in Him.

•BLESSED you are and BLESSED you will always be and to God be all the GLORY. Amen!

WHAT’S THE RUSH

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are  noble, whatever things are  just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are  lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there  is any virtue and if there  is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.{Philippians 4:6-8}.

JUST:

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones.{Proverbs 3:5‭-‬8 }

REMEMBER:

But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.[Isaiah 40:31]

FINALLY:

Be Strong in the LORD

Ephesians 6:10

Finally, my brethren, be STRONG in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

-Be strong in the Lord means we must be in the Lord before our strength can be of the Lord.

-When we operate in the strength of the Lord we will not be weary, and when we operate in our own strength we will get stressed, tired and weary.

Psalm 27:1

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the STRENGTH of my life; of  whom shall I be afraid?

-Remember perfect Love cast out fear, and also when the Lord is the strength of our lives we will not be afraid. Fear weakens us and take away our strength.

-We must be in the Lord before our strength can be of the Lord

-Let the Lord be the STRENGTH of our lives for the rest of our lives.

•Continue to let the WORD of God be the standard for your life. Always LOVING others like Christ Jesus loves us while keeping our faith, trust and confidence in Him.

•BLESSED you are and BLESSED you will always be and to God be all the GLORY. Amen!

THE HEART  IS WILLING  BUT  THE  FLESH IS WEAK

Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.(Romans 8:7‭-‬17)

LISTEN:

Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God. All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. And God both raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His power. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with  her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.” But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with  Him. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who  is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

{1 Corinthians 6:9-20}

SOLUTION  FOR THE FLESH

 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which  is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.{Romans 12:1‭-‬2}

WITH  GOD  VICTORY IS GUARANTEED

HAPPY NEW YEAR

we all love the thrill  of victory ,and hate the agony  of defeat . “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ”.{1 Corinthians 15:57}.

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? {I John 5:4‭-‬5 }.

However,What is more important to you?

-Getting your victory or giving God the glory for your victory?

-Do you celebrate and enjoy your victories more than you  glorify God for your victories?

-Don’t feel bad we all have been guilty of this at some point or another.

-Before we celebrate our victories let us purpose in our hearts to first glorify God.

Psalm 34:1-3 tells us what to say before, during ,and after victories. “I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.  O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together”.

What is more important to you?

-Getting your victory or giving God the glory for your victory?

-Too often many of us wait until we are in a good mood, and or having a good time before we can praise the Lord.

-Remember there is a praise that is highly accessible unto the Lord, and that is called the SACRIFICE of PRAISE.

-Even when you don’t feel like it,and things are not going as expected, make the sacrifice ,and praise God anyhow.

As Hebrews 13:15 says, By him therefore let us offer the SACRIFICE of PRAISE to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. Hallelujahs to Jesus!!!     “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place”[2 Corinthians 2:14]

•Continue to let the WORD of God be the standard for your life. Always LOVING others like Christ Jesus loves us while keeping our faith, trust and confidence in Him.

•BLESSED you are and BLESSED you will always be and to God be all the GLORY. Amen!

ARE  YOU  IN  OR OUT

“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.  I am the Alpha and the Omega, the  Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. But outside are  dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie. “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.”{Revelation 22:12‭-‬16}.

YOU BETTER  CHOOSE

“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.  All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.  And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.  Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:  for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;  I was  naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’ “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?  When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?  Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’  And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’ “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:  for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink;  I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’ “Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’  Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’  And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”{Matthew 25:31‭-‬46}.

And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord , choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord .”{Joshua 24:15]

LAST CHANCE

The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the  Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire. [Revelation  20:10-15]• YOUR  CHOICE

We then, as  workers together with  Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain. For He says: “In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

■[2 Corinthians 6:1‭-2■

FAITH WITHOUT  DOUBT

In these perilous times,REMEMBER what Jesus said in Luke 22:32-33, And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat.  But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me,  strengthen your brethren.”

However,The Bible says,”Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks. By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without faith it  is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith. By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God. By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised. Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born as  many as the stars of the sky in multitude—innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore. These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For those who say such things declare plainly that they seek a homeland. And truly if they had called to mind that country from which they had come out, they would have had opportunity to return. But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them. By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,  of whom it was said, “In Isaac your seed shall be called,” concluding that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead, from which he also received him in a figurative sense. By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come. By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph, and worshiped, leaning on the top of his staff. By faith Joseph, when he was dying, made mention of the departure of the children of Israel, and gave instructions concerning his bones. By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden three months by his parents, because they saw he  was a beautiful child; and they were not afraid of the king’s command. By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward. By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured as seeing Him who is invisible. By faith he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of blood, lest he who destroyed the firstborn should touch them. By faith they passed through the Red Sea as by dry land, whereas the Egyptians, attempting to do so, were drowned. By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they were encircled for seven days. By faith the harlot Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she had received the spies with peace. And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of  David and Samuel and the prophets: who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. Women received their dead raised to life again. Others were tortured, not accepting deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection. Still others had trial of mockings and scourgings, yes, and of chains and imprisonment. They were stoned, they were sawn in two, were tempted, were slain with the sword. They wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, tormented— of whom the world was not worthy. They wandered in deserts and mountains, in dens and caves of the earth. And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise, God having provided something better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us. {Hebrews 11:1‭-‬40}

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.[Hebrews 12:1‭-‬2]

Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves. But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he  does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin.[Romans 14:22‭-‬23]
