ANXIETY

Matthew 6:27-34 NKJV ask :
Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? [28] “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; [29] and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. [30] Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? [31] “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ [32] For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. [33] But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. [34] Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Philippians 4:6-8 NKJV says:
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; [7] and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. [8] Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

1 Peter 5:7-11 NIV tells us to:
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. [8] Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. [9] Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. [10] And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. [11] To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.

My 🙏🏽 Prayer…
Loving Heavenly Father, it seems that more and more people are becoming increasingly anxious about what is going on in the world today and what is likely to happen, both within our own nations and further afield. There are may conspiracy theories on one hand and a lot of hype on the other, which seem deliberately designed to cause people to become anxious and afraid.

I know that You are not a God of disorder or fear, but a God of peace and love, but I also know that the Bible tells us that as we get closer to the return of the Lord Jesus for His church, men’s hearts will start to fail, for fear of what is coming on the earth.

Lord Jesus, I am Your child and I know that my strength and comfort is in You. I know that You will never leave me nor forsake me, no matter what happens in this world. Keep me I pray from anxious thoughts, and prevent my heart from fearing what is coming on the world, knowing that my citizenship is in heaven with You, and knowing that the day is fast approaching when You will come to take us to be with Yourself in our heavenly home, where we will be with You forever.

Jude 1:24-25 NKJV
[24] Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, [25] To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen.

Thank You for this assurance I have in Christ Jesus my Saviour,Amen.
