“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. BUT WITHOUT FAITH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE HIM, FOR HE WHO COMES TO GOD MUST BELIEVE THAT HE IS, A REWARDER OF THOSE WHO DILIGENTLY SEEK HIM”. (Hebrews 11:1, 6 NKJV).
“Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves. But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin”. (Romans 14:22-23 NKJV).
“To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled. They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work”. (Titus 1:15-16 NKJV).
The Importance of Living by FAITH
•Four times God said in the Bible “The JUST shall live by FAITH”
- Habakkuk 2:4
“Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; BUT THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY HIS FAITH.
2.Romans 1:17
“For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
3. Galatians 3:11
But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.”
4. Hebrews 10:38
NOW THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.”
•The word JUST in scripture means justified ( just as if we have never sinned). It also means RIGHTEOUS.
•It is impossible to please God without faith, Hebrews 11:6.
•It doesn’t take any FAITH to live unholy and unrighteous, but it takes FAITH in Christ Jesus to live HOLY and RIGHTEOUS. Why?
Galatians 2:16 says,
Knowing that a man is not justified (or made righteous) by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ…
•You are righteous, justified, sanctified and holy because you live by the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ, and His redemptive work for us.
Blessed you are and blessed you will always be and to God be all the glory. Amen!
