SIN is REBELLION, and DISOBEDIENCE against God’s divine plans, purpose ,will and His word .

SIN didn’t originate with Adam and Eve,Sin originated with Lucifer who turned into satan, the devil. Not with Adam and Eve. However, it’s through Adam and Eve, that humans are affected.

“How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’(Isaiah 14:12‭-‬14 NKJV)

And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.
Luke 10:18 NKJV

Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ”

Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings. And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?” Then the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.” And the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?”

The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.” Then to Adam He said, “Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it’: “Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it All the days of your life”.(Genesis 3:1‭-‬7‭, ‬11‭-‬13‭, ‬17 NKJV).

Sin separate us from the love of God,and His benefits.  Eve entertain the devil who she was no match for, and dazzled and confused her, with the things of the world. And God tells us not to love the world, nor the things of the world. Because,through the lust of the flesh,lust of the eyes, and the pride of life as 1John 2:16 will lead you to sin.

But God loves us so much , He send His only begotten Son to set things right as John 3:16 tells us.

“Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin.

Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.

He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God”. (I John 3:4‭-‬9 NKJV).

“Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin”.
(James 4:17 NKJV).

Romans 1:20-23 says:
“For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things”.

Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. while it is said: “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”
