God’s Spirit Makes Us His Children
“Does the Spirit of the One Who brought Jesus back to.life live in you? Then the One Who brought Christ back to life will also make your mortal bodies alive by His Spirit Who lives in you.” (Romans 8:11)
Eternal life is the ultimate gift to everyone who believes in Jesus. Over the centuries, some people have chosen not to believe that this gift is offered to them. But simply not believing in something doesn’t make it right or true.
God, through His Holy Spirit, raised Christ up from the dead. Whether we choose to believe or not, it still happened. The Apostle Paul says that if God did that for Jesus, then He will also do the same for those who believe in His Son.
As humans, we enjoy the privilege of making choices about everything, from what we eat and what we wear, to what career we pursue and whether or not we get married. Unfortunately, we also suffer the consequences of making bad decisions. Often, we learn painful and valuable lessons from these wrong choices.
However, what we choose in regard to our relationship with God has eternal implications. In His great mercy, God allows us to decide whether or not we will follow Him. This is an amazing gift, especially since God knows that everyone will not choose to serve Him. Even though God desires a relationship with us, He gives us the opportunity to decide for ourselves.
The choice each of us must make is whether to accept or deny God’s sacrifice through His Son Jesus. That choice will determine our life now and our eternity.
John.8.43-47
Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me. Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? He who is of God hears God’s words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God.”
Our Spiritual Identification
+This comes about through the born again process and by the Holy Spirit, John 3:3, 5.
+In the physical and natural it is very easy to identify with each other, but how about in the spiritual with God?
+How do we identify with God? Better yet how does God identifies with us?
+God identifies with us through His Son Jesus, and we identify with God through His Son Jesus our Lord.
2 Corinthians 5:18
…God, who has reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ…
+Our spiritual identification with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, and this True, Permanent and Eternal Identification.
1 John 3:2
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as he is.
