“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God”(Romans 12:1-2).
Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”(1 Peter 1:13-16).
Being Holy is one of God’s requirements. Why?
Because it is written, in (Leviticus Ch: 10, 11, 19, 20, 21, 22), Be all of you HOLY; for I am HOLY.
“Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am the Lord your God” (Leviticus 20:7)
•What does God mean when He said for us to be HOLY?
•What is HOLY? Sacred; Consecrated; Sanctified; Reverently dedicated to God.
•As HOLY People of God we are the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, we live by Faith in God, and we do all things with the Love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled; lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright. For you know that afterward, when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought it diligently with tears” (Hebrews 12:14-17)
We should desire to be Holy, because 1 Peter 2:9 says,”But all of you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an HOLY nation, an exclusive people; that all of you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvellous light”.
•HOLINESS is the Lord Himself. He is the only One Who is worthy to be called “His Holiness ”
•Continue to let the Word of God be the standard for your life. Blessed you are and blessed you will always be and to God be all the glory. Amen!
