As a Child of God,Which are you? Cold,Lukewarm,or Hot.Most people depend on the meteorologist to give you a weather report for the day;So whenever you are in the house or the car depending on the temperature outside you can adjust your thermostat in your home or car to make yourself comfortable. However, people still fail to realize that God is still in control, no matter what anyone says. Therefore, when it comes to God, your life or commitment to Him is like a thermostat, the only thing is that, He is the one at the controls. However,when it comes to our lifes choices,He allows us to choose,what we want to do,either follow God or the devil. What was your choice? Who are you serving?In Revelation 3:15-16 He expresses Himself by being direct and to the point, He says to us, “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot; I would thou wert cold or hot. So, then, because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth.” Most people think that this message is cold or harsh, but wait ’till you get to hell and realize that the thermostat down there is set to extreme hot. In hell there is no escape from being burnt and then you will realize that all those opportunities  you passed up to make amends is gone, because you were disobedient, stubborn, in disbelief, weren’t ready, and thought you had more time.

Have you ever wondered where people go after they physically die? Well you don’t have to wonder, the creator of the universe and everything in it, has given us a directional guide-book called the Bible, and His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to show us the way to go. All you need to do is believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that He suffered and died for us, and after the third day God raised Him up from the dead. However, if you keep wasting time trying to debate the accuracy of the Bible, then you might find yourself over on the too hot to handle side, where there will be no air conditioner or fire department to quench the fire and eliminate the heat. The Bible is the only book that reveals the mind of God, tells the state of man, and points the way to salvation. The Bible is the only book that is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path as Psalms 119:105 tells us. What or whose path are you following?

God is telling us that the world is made up of three groups of people the cold, lukewarm and the hot. The cold are the atheists, the unbelievers, and those who have  an idea or the knowledge of God yet refuse to worship Him, acknowledge Him, and accept His only begotten Son. In order to have eternal life and above all have access to God, Our Father, the Creator of the universe we have to confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe that God raise Him from the dead. This is what God says to them, “Wherefore, God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lust of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves, who exchange the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped  and serve the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever, Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections; for even their women did exchange the natural use for that which is against nature; and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another, men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was fitting.

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not seemly, being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness, full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity, whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, insolent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedience to parents, without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful; Who knowing the judgement of God, that they who commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same but have pleasure in them that do them.” Does this describe you? How is your walk with God? Do you realize that there is a God? Read on you will get to know Him.

The second is the lukewarm, they go to church, sing in the choir, usher and do the whole church thing, but their heart is far from  God, and so Matthew 15:7-9 says, “Ye hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying, this people draweth near unto me with their mouth, and honoreth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me; But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” Isaiah 29:13 puts it like this, “Wherefore the Lord said, for as much as this people draw near to me with their mouth, and with their lips do honor me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men.” These same folks think it’s ok to party and go to church, forgetting that you can’t serve two masters as Matthew  6:24 tells us; they are double-minded in all their ways, which makes them unstable (James 1:8). These are the people God is going to spit, spew or vomit out as Revelation 3:16 tells us. Are you one of those people?

Which leads me to the Hot, they are sold out to God all the way, they accept God’s gift of His Son Jesus Christ, they present their bodies as a living sacrifice, that is Holy and acceptable unto God, and they are not conformed to this world, but transformed by the renewing of their minds (Romans 12:1-2). They trust God and lean not to their own understanding, and acknowledge Him in all their ways, so that He can direct them (Proverbs 3:5-6); They seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33). They pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5: 17 ). They always have on all of God’s armor (Ephesians 6:11-18). They display the characteristics of the fruit of the Spirit which are love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and self-control as we see in Galatians 5:22-23. They are obedient to God and His word, and the list goes on and on. When you are Hot for God, righteousness and holiness is your priority, because it gives you the right to go boldly before the throne of grace to obtain mercy, because Jesus paid the price or the penalty for us to have that right.

If you don’t have this kind of relationship with God, then it’s time to get it right, if you don’t know Jesus, who He is or what He did for you, then it’s time to get it right. Remember you may be free to choose your actions, but you are not free to choose the consequences of your actions, God controls that.

I pray that He will give all who read this message the spiritual gifts necessary to comprehend and act upon His word. I exercise my power and authority in the name of Jesus to bind every tactic of the enemy, that will try to stop, hinder, or prevent this word from reaching its intended people. I ask the Lord to loose the Holy Spirit and the Heavenly angels to secure this word so that it reaches its intended people, according to Matthew 16:19 and Luke 10:19 in the omnipotent name of Jesus, Amen.
