There are two gateways available to us, one is wide and the other is narrow, however it’s amazing how most people in society tend to gravitate towards the wider gate. It was puzzling to me. Then the answer hit me like a ton of bricks. They choose the wider gate because, all their earthly accomplishments can fit through that gate, but the narrow gate is just wide enough to fit their body and nothing else. That’s why Jesus says, to follow Him you must deny yourself and forsake the things and people you love. You may not be aware of it, but there are two gateways to exit this world, and it’s very important that you choose the right one. The best one is the narrow gate, because there is no line or crowd; it’s paved with good intentions and righteousness. Matthew 7:13-14 suggests for us to, “Enter in at the narrow gate; for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be who go in that way; Because narrow is the gate, and hard is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” Have you found the right gate?

Most people’s goal in life, is education, job, house, car, and all the earthly possessions they can achieve. Yet, after they get it all they realize that there is still a void. Something is missing, because they are not satisfied, they are miserable and frustrated, and still searching for the answer or the solution. However God, Our Father, and Creator didn’t make us in His image and likeness to crave His creation, and not Him as we see in  Romans 1:25, we have exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped the things He created, more than the Creator, who is blessed forever, Amen. God’s intention is for us to, “Strive to enter in at the narrow gate; for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.” – Luke 13:24 The reason why, you will not be able to enter is, because, you want to carry all of your earthly accomplishments, and yourself but it will not fit through the narrow gate. So are you willing to give it all up?

Jesus said in Matthew 19:24 that, “…It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God,” because he does not want to part with his earthly possessions. What people fail to realize is what 1 Timothy 6:7 says, “For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.” So are you going to sit around  and wait for the gate to close permanently? Because, if you die or Jesus returns before you accept God’s good and perfect gift of His only begotten Son Jesus Christ (who is the way to the gate, the truth about the gate, the one who guarantees eternal life when you go through the gate, and is the only one you can go through to talk to God as written in John 14:6) it would be too late to go through the narrow gate. The gate is open, have you entered in? What is keeping you out? Leave the junk in your trunk and go through the gate, before it closes permanently.

If you are lost ask the Lord to open up the gate of righteousness, so you can go in and praise Him; Psalm 118:19 – 20 tells us this is the gate of the Lord through which the righteous shall enter. What’s your decision? The narrow or the wide, if you choose the narrow, to get started just go to the top of this blog, click on to the salvation page, and follow the instructions, and you will have entered the gate to eternity.
