Some folks like to say, that they are free, single, and disengaged. But if they are still living sinfully then they are not. Think about it,and look deep within .Are you really, and truly free? If so, free from whom or what? A liberated person cannot be bought, sold, manipulated, dominated or controlled, Because when you are truly free, it means that your Spirit, soul, and body is liberated, and the only one who is capable of doing that is God’s only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. John 8:36 tells us that, “Whom the Son sets free is free indeed.” Therefore are you really free or are you still shackled to the things of this world, where desires and lusts incarcerate your mind, soul and body. Most people celebrate when they are free from a person, place or thing; but the greatest celebration of freedom is from sin, and the only person who can truly liberate us from the curse of sin, is Jesus Christ.
Being free from a person, place or thing does not truly free you, because, it leaves scars, that people don’t allow to heal. However, once you trust God and give it all to Him, He takes it and gives you peace which passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7). In Isaiah 26:3, He promises to keep you in perfect peace, when you keep your mind on Him and not your problems. Trust God. Galatians 5:1 tells us that, when we are liberated by Christ, we should make sure that we stay free, and not get tied up, or tangled up again with the yoke of bondage. Liberate yourself from any type or kind of bondage that the devil has set up for you, because you are more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus.
So, today, celebrate your freedom from the curse of sin, and death, that Jesus’ Blood, righteousness, death, burial and resurrection gave us, by remembering, praising and thanking Him for what He did on Calvary. We worship Him in Spirit and in truth and as 2 Corinthians 3:17 says, where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty. However, if you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior then you will never know what being truly free is. May the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, give unto you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, and may the eyes of your understanding be enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power (Ephesians 1:17-19).
