TELL THEM YOUR MIND

Ever felt like just cursing someone out or just giving them a piece of your mind, but the Holy spirit reminded you of who you are? The question is, are Christians allowed to curse someone out? We can, but not like how the world does it. We cannot use profanity, because that’s the devils language, but we can use scriptures that fit the occasion. Jesus always used scriptures for everything because the word or God is more effective than anything else.

We respond with the word of God, because it is quick, powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4 :12). The chief antagonist of a Christian is the devil. Jesus shows us how to handle him ( the devil) with the written word in Matthew 4:4-11. It is only when we submit to God and resist the devil that he will  flee (James 4 : 7).

We must also be very careful how and when we respond to people, because if we are angry it will not be a kind response. That’s why the Bible warns us to be angry, but don’t sin in the process. We should not allow the sun to set while still being angry (Ephesians 4:26), because it gives the devil room to operate in our lives. Furthermore as a Christian we must remember that anything that comes out of our mouths must edify and minister grace unto the hearers (Ephesians 4:29). So if you curse someone out make sure it’s edifying to them.

Remember also that we must eradicate all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor and evil speaking from our system; we must be kind to each other, tender-hearted, and forgiving even as God, for Christ sake, hath forgiven us (Ephesians 4:31-32).
