How do you know you are righteous? When you don’t allow unbelief,disobedience,doubts and fears to rob you of God’s promises,and you know without a shadow of doubt,that God is able to do exceeding,abundantly above all you ask or think,according to the power that worketh in us {Ephesians 3:20}. What is the power in us? There is two divine power at work in us, the Holy Spirit,which Acts 1:8 says,”But ye shall receive power,after the Holy Spirit is come upon you…”,and 1John4:4 says,”Ye are of God,little children,and have overcome them,because greater is He that is in you,than he that is in the world”. Another power source we have as believers is the word of God,which Hebrews 4:12 describes thus,” For the word of God is quick,and powerful,and sharper than any two-edged sword,piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit,and of joints and marrow,and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart”. That’s why the Lord said,in Joshua 1:8 “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth,but thou shalt meditate therein day and night,that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein;for then thou shalt make thy way properous,and thou shalt have good success”. Abraham is a good example to ,show us what it entails to be righteous,Romans4:19-22 says,” And being not weak in faith,he considered not his own body now dead(old),when he was about a hundred years old,neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief ,but was strong in faith,giving glory to God,and being fully persuaded that,what He had promised,He was able also to perform. And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness”. Wow! That’s awesome,and all it takes is belief,trust,confidence,faith,hope,and love of God to just obey Him. How much are you willing to give up to walk in and experience the fullness of joy in being righteous? You have to give it all up. Is it worth giving up all for Christ ? Absolutely, Jesus said in,Mark 10:29-30 “Verily I say unto you,there is no man that hath left house,or brethren,or sisters,or father,or mother,or wife,or children,or lands,for my sake,and the gospel’s. But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time,houses,and brethren,and sisters,and mothers,and children,and lands,with persecutions;and in the age to come eternal life”. Isn’t that worth it?
