DON’T FORGET GOD

Why accept all His tangible gifts,and reject His only begotten Son? Sometimes we let the abundance of God’s gifts cloud our judgements, and lead us down the wrong path, thus separating us from the giver who is God, It also tarnish the gifts, ruins Jesus Holy Name, and the believers credibility. We as Christians, must learn to escape the corruption of this world,which is publicize by its evil desires,”For God giveth to a man who is good in His sight, wisdom, knowledge, and joy; but to the sinner He giveth travail, to gather and heap up”..( Ecclesiastes 2:26).”Every way of a man is right in his own eyes; But the Lord pondered the hearts (Proverbs 21:2).

Let me explain something to you, when you allow God’s word to fill your memory, rule your heart, and guide your life, sin will not have dominion over you, that’s why David said, “Hide God’s word in your heart, so that you will not sin against Him(God)'(Psalm 119:11),then he said,”God’s word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path(Psalm 119:105),yes , David messed up on many occasions ,but he was man enough to admit it,confess it,and beg for forgiveness,David knew the power and might of the God he serve,he knew without God ,he would perish;that’s why he was always seeking forgiveness(Psalms 51:1-10;Psalms 86).

Repentance ,clears the way for God to work with you,for Him to operate on you;it allows you to submit to God and resist the devil,so that he will flee(James 4:7);Repentance also put you back in right standing with God; a right relationship,that’s why David said,’Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me (Psalms 51:10).Remember Your body is the temple of God,we are joined to God in one spirit,we were bought with a price;therefore we should glorify God in your body and in your spirit,which are God’s( 1 Corinthians 6:15-20).

 I deliberately ,use  King David,as an example because he was a man who followed ,obeyed,praise and worship God with all his heart,he walked in integrity ,and uprightness most of the time from a teenager,who was a shepherd boy to the king of Israel,until he died(1 Kings 9:4),he was not perfect,but God chose his bloodline to introduce Christ Jesus ,because the heart was willing to serve God above everything and everybody. But Jesus was perfect and without sin,He never forget God the Father,that’s why Jesus was always praying,consulting with God on everything.

BE FILLED WITH THE WORD

There is something magical about the word of God. Some people will get it but unfortunately some will not. First we must understand that the word is spiritually discerned, so naturally it would be considered as foolishness or nonsense to a lot of people.

Why you may ask? Well, it states in 2 Corinthians 2: 14 that the word is not meant to be comprehensible to the natural man so it is pointless to argue with others. However, for those of us who have the privilege of understanding and interpreting the word, we know a couple of things.

We know there is power and life in the word, found in Hebrews 4:12 and John 6:63. We are aware that there is healing in the word (Matthew 8:8) as well as exhortation/ advice (acts 13:15). There is contentment and security ( 1 Thessalonians 4:18), as well as truth and soberness (James 1:18 and Acts 26:25).

If you believe that I could go on forever about what the word has and what it can do then you are absolutely correct. The question I must ask you is if you understand it yet? If you do understand it then speak it in your life. Be able to explain it to or share it with someone who could use it in their lives ( Jeremiah  23:28).

Here are some helpful reminders that you may need. The word of God is quick, powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword piercing to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit of the joints and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intent of the heart ( Hebrews 4:12). When Gods word goes forth it never returns to him void, it is filled with accomplishments and prosperity of what God wants and where he sent it (Isaiah 55:11).

 Allow God to order your steps in his word so that no iniquity may have dominion over you (Psalm 119:133). King David said to “Hide Gods word in your heart so that you will not sin against God “(Psalm 119:11).‘Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path (Psalms 119:105). That is confirmation from an expert on the power of the word and there are trillions of people who can attest to the facts about it. Gods word is like food , in 1 Peter 2:2 Petter called the word pure milk for the new believers. In Hebrews 5: 12-14 and 1 Corinthians 3:2,Paul said that Gods word is strong meat for the seasoned christian.  Now which category do you fall under?

‘How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea sweeter than honey to my mouth!(psalm 119;103). Friends why don’t you taste and see that the Lord is good (Psalm 34:8)Receive the engrafted word of God today(James 1:21) because you will not escape hell if you keep neglecting the infallible and unadulterated word of God. If you don’t know God or His only beloved son, Jesus Christ (John 3:16-17),then it is impossible for you to be able to grasp his word. To know and understand Jesus, who is known as the word(John 1:1,14;Revelation 19:13),you have to read the word of God.
