BEING STRONG IN GOD

2 Corinthians 10:3-6
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled”. I always admire soldiers, they are strong,and always ready for any type of attack from the enemy, they are trained to be on alert at all times. Now as soldiers in the army of the Lord we are also required to be strong, sober, and vigilant, because our adversary, the devil, is like a roaring lion walking about, seeking someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8). This is what is puzzling to me, the soldiers of the world,train daily, clean, and sharpen their weapons regularly, so why aren’t the soldiers in the army of the Lord doing the same thing; we too should be praying, fasting, meditating, and studying Gods word to show ourselves approved unto God, a soldier that is not ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth ( 2 Timothy 2:15).

How can you be victorious,and a conqueror if you are not prepared, that’s why so many Christians are defeated today, and is incapable of submitting to God, and resisting the devil, so he can flee( James 4:7); that’s why they have no power to tread upon serpents, and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, where nothing can hurt you ( Luke 10:19).

Lets do the maths , no word + no faith = no power; little word + little faith = little power; plenty word +plenty faith=plenty power;  No prayers = no answers; No God + no Jesus = death. God + Jesus=eternal life. Gods word is not chained or hidden from the christian,so lets exercise our rights as children of the most High God. “But if our gospel be hidden, it is hidden to them that are lost, in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them who believe not”…( 2 Corinthians 4:3-6).

Soldiers don’t run around aimlessly, they know their duties,so why are the Christians running to and fro, carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men ,and cunning craftiness, by which they lie in wait to deceive (Ephesians 4:14). We as Christians need a reality check, and make sure we are walking circumspectly not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time because the days are evil (Ephesians 5:15-16).

Your duty is to please God only,your aim is to be a disciple of Jesus Christ our Commander in chief, anything or anyone else is insignificant. We are followers of Christ, which makes us fishers of men. A soldier in Gods army don’t get tied up in the affairs of this life, we endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ ( 2 Timothy 2:3-4)

Spirituality

I must confess, I did not get spiritual overnight, but I was always God conscious. Ever since I started going to school to be a minister, the Holy Spirit has opened my eyes to a whole lot of truths and myths, on the spiritual and natural realm or level. I am being educated, edified, anointed, plus a whole lot more to operate in the five fold ministry (teaching, preaching, etc.), and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who are interested and believe in God.

However, I realize that my Heavenly Father has revealed more things to me than ever before, because I am walking in righteousness. It’s an honor and privilege to hear from God, directly through His word, fasting and praying, instead of relying on someone to preach to me or you every Sunday. Being in right standing with God, has allowed God to tell me through the Holy Spirit when I am out of line, or doing something wrong. So if someone else tells me something then it’s just a confirmation of what my Heavenly Father has told me and not a surprise.

Trust me folks it’s not easy, ever since I decided to follow Christ, I have been under heavy attack, but I stand on His word, and Jesus my solid rock, light, and salvation, and the enemy has been falling by the thousands, but they can’t come near me (Psalm 91). Once I abide in Him, He will abide in me (John 15:7). He promises, “Never to leave or forsake me” (Hebrew 13:5; James 1:5). When I hide His word in my heart and meditate on it day and night, this allows me the privilege of casting down every imagination that’s contrary to His word (Psalm 119:11 and 133; Colossians 3:16).
