FORGET THE PAST, & move on

It’s amazing how some people can’t even forgive themselves, for the mistakes they make n the past. They want to relive the hurt, and pain over and over, failing to realize that it’s preventing them from moving forward into a brighter future.

HOW DO YOU MOVE ON:
It’s simple, forgive and forget, listen ,”Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus”.
{Philippians 3:12-14 }.
REMEMBER
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
{Hebrews 4:15-16}.
LISTEN:
To forget the past and move on,you must take control of your thoughts, and this is how it’s done.
” Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
[2 Corinthians 10:5-6 ]

FORGIVEN AND FORGOTTEN

Don’t ever allow the devil to bring up your past,as if God is holding it over your head,as a constant reminder of your sins;God forgives and forgets it. Unfortunately, most folks say that they will forgive someone, but they can’t forget what the person did, suppose God was like that, where would most of us be. Why would you want to hang on to the hurt and pain, while the other person forgot and moved on. Why would you block your blessings and hinder your forgiveness,by not letting it go? As Matthew 6:12 says,”And forgive us our debts,as we forgive our debtors”. Then Ephesians 4:32 puts it like this,”And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God,for Christ’s sake, hath forgiven you”. What,Most people don’t realize, and understand is that God, not only forgives sins,He forgets them. First,we must confess for our sins to be forgiven, and forgotten. 1John 1:9 says,”If we confess our sins,He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness”. Then Hebrews 10:16-17 says,”This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord: I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them, and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more”. Hebrews 8:12 says,”For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more”. Micah 7:18-19 puts it this way,”Who is a God like unto thee, who pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He retaineth not His anger forever, because He delighteth in mercy. He will turn again; He will have compassion upon us;He will subdue our iniquities;and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea”. Behold, for peace I had great bitterness, but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption;for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back { Isaiah 38:17}. Which means when you don’t forgive and forget, you allow bitterness, anger, hatred, vengeance, and all kinds of evil to keep you in sin and bondage, which leads to unforgiveness. God said in Isaiah 43:25 “I,even I,am He who blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins”. I have blotted out, like a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, like a cloud, thy sins;return unto me;for I have redeemed thee { Isaiah 44:22}.
