Set your affection on things above,not on things on the earth as Colossians 3:2 advises us. However,some people have the audacity to tell authentic Christians that they are so heavenly minded,that they are no earthly good. The devil is a liar,what they fail to understand is that,God will keep us in perfect peace,when our mind is stayed on Him,because we trust Him,and in Him is everlasting strength as it says in Isaiah 26:3-4. And like David said,”I have set the Lord always before me,because He is my right hand,I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad,and my glory rejoiceth ;my flesh also shall rest in hope,for thou wilt not leave my soul in hell,neither wilt thou suffer(permit) thine Holy One to see corruption ; Thou wilt show me the path of life. In thy presence is fullness of joy;at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore “. Folks all we are doing is following the mandate of our Hevenly Father which also tells us in Ephesians 2:6 and 10 that,He hath raised us up together,and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus…. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works,which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them”. Furthermore, Philippians 3:20-21 says,”For our conversation (citizenship) is in Heaven, from which also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall change our vile body,that it may be fashioned like His glorious body,according to the working by which he is able even to subdue all things unto himself”. When Jesus walked on this earth,He was heavenly minded and He did a lot of earthly good. So all we are doing is being obedient to the word which tells us,”If there be,therefore, any consolation in Christ,if any comfort of love,if any fellowship of the Spirit,if any bowels of mercies, fulfill he my joy,that ye be like-minded,having the same love,being of one accord, of one mind…let this mind be in you,which was also in Christ Jesus”{Philippians 2:1-5}.In conclusion the main reasons why, we are heavenly minded is because Psalm 91 describes in details what occurs when we are heavenly minded,I will write the first two verses,but you have to go get a Bible and read the rest if you are interested, “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High,shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord,He is my refuge and my fortress;My God,in Him will I trust..“. YOUR DUTY
“Fear God,and keep His commandments ;for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgement, with every secret thing,whether it be good,or whether it be evil”{Ecclesiastes 12:13-14}. Therefore, we should present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy,acceptable unto God,which is our reasonable service;and be not conformed to this world,but be transformed by the renewing of our minds,that we may prove what is that good,and acceptable, and perfect, will of God, as Romans 12:1-2 suggests. Why is it our duty to serve and worship God? “But God,who is rich in mercy,for His great love with which He loved us,even when we were dead in sins,hath quickened us[made us alive] together with Christ (by Grace he are saved),and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. For by Grace are yet saved through faith;and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God- Not of works,lest any man should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works,which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them”,as Ephesians 2:4-10 tell us. So as God told Joshua back then,He is telling us today to,”Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law,which Moses, My servant,commanded thee;turn not from it to the right hand or to the left,that thou mayest prosper wherever thou goest. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth,but thou shalt meditate therein day and night,that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein ;for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous,and then thou shalt have good success. Have not I commananded the? Be strong and of good courage;be not afraid,neither be thou dismayed ;for the Lord thy God is with thee wherever thou goest”{Joshua 1:7-9}. In conclusion ,it is a known fact that,”The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness, but is long-suffering toward us,not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance”[2 Peter 3:9]. ADOPT THE MIND OF CHRIST
As children we used to play a game called follow the leader, whatever the leader does or say we do it. This is something every Christian should do; follow our leader and Savior Jesus Christ. This is exactly what Paul was saying to the Philippians in the text, “If there is any consolation in Christ, any comfort of love, any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels of mercies or affection, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind, let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.
If we follow Jesus’ example in everything we do we will be victorious, successful, and triumphant in those very things. Our desire as a Christian should be to walk and talk as our leader Jesus did, with all power in His hands. As a matter of fact He gave us exclusive and all-inclusive rights to everything He did and have. (1) In Luke 10:19 He gave us the power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt us. (2) In Matthew 16:19 He gave us the keys to the kingdom of heaven, and whatsoever we bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatsoever we loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Note that the keys to the kingdom of heaven give us the right and privilege to everything Jesus had at His disposal. (3) In His Great Commission in Mark 16:15-18 Jesus told us to go out and be like Him and do the things He did. So for this new year let all Christians be like their leader Jesus and act and do the things He did and more. This will fulfill His joy because He told us in Nehemiah 8:10, “…the joy of the Lord is our strength.” And to fulfill His joy Philippians 2:2 tells us to be like CHRIST. And once we have the mindset of Christ we will love our neighbors and others as we do ourselves. And the Church which is the body of Christ will not be divided by denominations, color or creed.
When we present our bodies as Romans 12:1-2 suggests, as a living sacrifice that’s Holy and acceptable unto God, which is our reasonable service and when our mind is not conformed to this world but transformed, then we can activate Philippians 2 by having the mindset of Christ because we will be emulating or following Him.
John 21:19-22 Jesus told Peter to follow Him and He is telling us the same thing today, nothing else should concern us except to follow Him (Verse 2).

CAN YOU FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS?
How good are you,when it comes to following directions?Most people are lost, because they don’t follow instructions,nor directions. Imagine God laid out His instructions and directions in the Bible, (which means Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth),yet we refuse to obey and follow them. We are quicker to follow the instructions on a GPS device or our phones,than to follow the advice and suggestions of the creator of the universe. Why is this so? Especially in the 21st century,it started when we refuse to obey our parents,another devise of the enemy use to steal,kill,and destroy our lives. When people refuse to listen to their parents or someone older and wiser,what message are you sending to God,who tells you to obey your parents in the Lord,parents who follow the commands of God. It’s simple ,if you refuse to listen to people,you can see,it means,you will not listen to God,who you can’t see. God tells us to obey,is better than sacrifice, He tells us to love and trust Him with all our hearts,He tells us not to put other gods before Him,yet we do. Most people fail to realize that the gods of the 21st century are your house,cars,clothes,your significant other,your job,your children, etc. Are you following God’s instructions? Ruth and Naomi are two perfect examples of two women who clung together, because,they shared the same pain and loss. Yet, the older and wiser Naomi was never bitter or angry at God and she taught her daughter-in-law the same.
This story would never have a happy ending,if Ruth did not follow instructions from a woman of God who was older and wiser. If most women today would not throw themselves at men they would be happily married. But because they don’t have godly mothers or people who are godly, older and wiser to direct them, they follow their own instinct and intuition, but if we all follow God’s instructions in Proverbs 3:5-6, which tells us to trust the Lord with everything and never rely on our limited understanding, then He will direct our path,and we all would be on the right path instead of leaning on our own understanding,and trying to figure things out.
It’s amazing that like Boaz in Ruth 3:8, when you are not looking or seeking something, God knows what you need,He is the supplier of all needs,like Adam,God knows it’s not good for a man to be alone in life,so He created a help mate for him.Boaz had the money, prestige and all the trimmings life could offer, where he could have had any woman he wanted or money could buy. But he was looking for an honorable and virtuous woman described in Proverbs 31; this he recognized in Ruth. It was not about sex and this was not Boaz’s only intention. He wanted a help mate that would be compatible spiritually, physically and otherwise.
The thing about a man of God whose steps are ordered by God, is that his intentions are honorable and he intends to honor God by doing things the right and legal way. Boaz didn’t see Ruth as a sex object but as a virtuous woman who loved God and would stick to you like glue through thick and thin, good and bad, sickness and health. Ruth proved to be that woman by sticking with Naomi, giving up her life to be a companion to her mother-in-law. Ruth didn’t have to say anything; her actions spoke for her.
Because of Ruth’s determination, obedience and love and compassion for a God she grew to know through Naomi and love for others, God gave her a new life with a new husband, children, riches and a whole lot more. Now is there anything that God would not give or do for you? If you would just follow His instructions in the Bible. Ruth’s choice to follow her mother-in-law’s Godly ways and instructions changed her life for good.
Reading the Bible and heeding its instructions is a very wise thing to do. But understanding of the Bible doesn’t come easily unless you are a child of God. By having faith in Christ Jesus you can become a child of God and then by God’s Holy Spirit the words of the Bible will be more than just words. By the Holy Spirit God can open your eyes and mind to receive understanding of His word. Believe on the Lord Jesus,and you will be saved,are you interested in letting God in your life to make all the right decisions;it’s simple just go to the salvation page at the top of this blog and follow the instructions,then welcome Him in to your heart. Then,allow the Holy Spirit to lead,guide,and direct you for the rest of your life.

THE END IS NEAR
“But the end of all things is at hand;be ye,therefore, sober,and watch unto prayer”[1Peter 4:7]. Everyone is so excited and preparing for sports events,awards,parties and the whole works,with little concern about the signs and wonders,like snow where no snow suppose to be,what else must God do to capture your attention. “And as it was in the days of Noah,so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man,They did eat,they drank,they married wives,they were given in marriage,until the day that Noah entered the ark,and the flood came,and destroyed them all. Also in the days of Lot,they did eat,they drank,they bought,they sold,they planted,they built;but the same day that Lot went out of Sodom,it rained fire and brimstone from heaven,and destroyed them all” [Luke 17: 26-29]. My intentions is not to spoil your festivities,but just to make you aware as 1John 2:18-22 so eloquently puts it,“Little children,it is the last time;and ye have heard that antichrist shall come,even now are there many antichrist,by which we know that it is the last time. They went out from us,but they were not of us;for if they had been of us,they would no doubt have continued with us,but they went out,that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. But ye have an unction from the Holy One,and ye know all things,I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth,but because you know it,and that no lie is of the truth. Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ?”. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! For the devil is come down unto you having great wrath,because he knoweth that he hath but a short time (Revelation 12:12). Our modern day ark is Jesus,who gave His life,and shed His blood for us,and as Revelation 12:11 says, “And they overcame him(the devil) by the blood of the Lamb(Jesus),and by the word of their testimony;and they loved not their lives unto the death”. That’s why Jesus said in John 12:25,”He that loveth his life,shall lose it;and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal”. Where will you spend eternity heaven or hell? THE REASON THE DEVIL HATES US
The devil hates all believers,and his job is to steal,kill,and destroy our hopes,dreams,faith, etc.. at all cost. The main reason why the devil hates believers also known as Christians is because we took his job of making a joyful noise unto God. The devil was kicked out of heaven because he did not want to serve God with gladness like we do. We know that the Lord is God and there is no other. We know that it is He (God) who made us in His image and likeness. Therefore we are His people and the sheep of His pasture. As a result, it is a privilege, joyous and momentous occasion when we enter into the secret place of the most high, into His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise, because we are eternally thankful to Him and we want to bless His holy name, not by force or deceit, but love and a pure and sincere heart. The devil can’t steal our joy, our praise and worship of the most high God, the Creator of heaven and earth, unless we let him.
We know for a fact that the Lord is good, His mercy is everlasting and His truth which is Jesus, the Holy Spirit and His word endures forever and to all generations. So when people allow the devil to plant doubts in their minds about how long they have been hearing about Jesus and His return, let them know that the truth, who is Jesus (as John 14:6 points out) endures forever and to all generations, it does not stop and will never stop at one generation.
No matter what the problem is, He will hear you quicker and better when you make a joyful noise unto Him. Come before Him singing joyfully because whatever the problem is, He will fix it. Without a shadow of a doubt you know He is God and He not only loves you, but He is good and His mercy is everlasting and His truth endures forever. So no matter what, go before Him with thanks, praise and blessing as a joyful servant which is what Psalm 100 tells us.
Remember that we are God’s prize and primary possession. That’s why the Psalm says, “What is man that thou art mindful of Him and the son of man that thou visit him. For you have made him a little lower than the angels and crowned him with glory and honor.” So display His image – the image of the Lord. Sing and shout praise unto Him.

Did you know that good looks can’t save you,your coke-a-cola bottle shape can’t save you,your libido can’t save you,acting religiously can’t save you,your denomination can’t save you,church attendance Will not save you. Your pastor,bishop,spouce,etc…,can’t save you,your career,money, car,etc…,can’t save you,and for those who only uphold the Sabbath, the day(sat.or sun.) you choose to worship can’t save you,and furthermore you should be worshiping everyday that He wakes you up. Some folks have no regard, respect,nor reverence for God,so my question is: Do you really think you wake yourself up? The reason why I am so concerned is because I was an unbeliever once,and as Titus 3:2-7 reminds me”to speak evil of no one,to be peaceable, gentle,showing all humility to all men. For we ourselves were also once foolish,disobedient,deceived,serving various lusts and pleasures,living in malice and envy,hateful and hating one another. But when the kindness and the love of God our savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done,but according to His mercy He saved us,through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life”. However, when you think about life, What profit is there, to gain the whole world,and lose your soul as Matthew 16:26 tells us. Listen,The only one, that can save you, is God, through His son Jesus Christ,who is the way,have you met Him? do you know Him? do you want to know Him? What kind of relationship do you have with Him? Is it only when you are in trouble or want something that you know Him,and remember Him? If Jesus shows up today? Will you be ready without a shadow of a doubt. DO YOU TRUELY KNOW HIM ?
Who or what is He to you? Is He just casual, spur of the moment fling, is He only reserved for sunday or Saturdays, Easter, Christmas, Weddings, Baby christenings, and Funerals. Do you really know Him? What kind of relationship do you have with him? Are you at the point where He is your everything: your savior, lord, doctor, lawyer, friend, companion, your way, truth and life. Do you know Him? Do you even know who I am talking about? HIS NAME IS JESUS. THE ONLY BEGOTTON SON OF GOD. The Lion of the tribe of Judah,our redeemed,the way,the truth,and life,He is our everything.
Can you even fathom in your finite mind what this same Jesus went through for us, what He did for us, tell me or show me anyone else who would go through so much for us….
No one can love like Jesus loves. No friend can keep a secret like He can. No one can take away, forgive, and forget your sins like Jesus can. Do you know Him?
Jesus said in 1 Peter 5 :7 “cast all your cares upon him, because he cares for you”. If you know him then why do the problems, troubles, and stresses of this world bother you so much.
Do you want to know Him?
Heavenly father I am a sinner, and I believe you sent your son to save me, please forgive me of all my sins, and come into my heart and make me new. In your son Jesus Christ of Nazareth name I pray. NO MORE STRUGGLES
What would we lose,or could we lose if we Just try it God’s way? The reason why most of us struggle with stress,fear,anxiety,trials and tribulations to name a few,is because we are not obedient to God. Why aren’t people obedient? Is it a lack of trust,confidence or faith,as children,growing up we trusted our parents,we trusted teachers,we trusted the doctors,so why can’t we trust God,who made or create these people. When God place those people in our lives to trust them,it was for us to develop our trust and confidence in Him. As a matter of fact,we have more to gain,than lose,when we trust and obey God. In 1 Samuel 15:22-23 it says,to obey is better than sacrifice…For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry….Why are we so rebellious and stubborn. God tells to cast our burdens on Him (Psalms 55:22; 1 Peter 5:7)and we don’t. God says.to trust Him with all our hearts,yet we don’t. He tells us to acknowledge Him in all our ways,and lean not on our own understanding, and He will direct our path (Proverbs 3:5-6),yet we do the opposite. What is the matter with us? Aren’t you interested in, or want the best that God has to offer ? His wish above all things,is for us to prosper and be in good health as our soul prosper according to (3John 2),the question is do you want His prosperity And good health? Then you have to give Him your heart and soul. In Matthew 6:33 or from Genesis to Revelation ,God tells us to seek Him first,His kingdom,and righteousness and He will add the things you need. Have you seek Him? While reading (Rev.21:1-4) I realized that the way life is now, will be different from the way life will be with God. There will be a new heaven and a new earth, and God will be there with us.
It is possible to think that the new heaven and earth coming out of heaven will not be as the natural earth, but rather a spiritual place.
This place is where God will be with us. Not much may be known about this place, but what we know now is that the new heaven and earth will not be as what we know now.
“The old order of things has passed away”. (rev.21:4).
WHAT’S IN YOUR HEART?
No matter what’s in your heart,God can fix it,because He made it.The heart is unique and very special in every way,it controls the whole body.If you don’t believe me, then tell me why every thing stops functioning when the heart stops beating.Even with advance technology people still can’t figure out,how to keep the heart beating when it stops. What about scientists,
Oh! stop it. Cloning someone, are you for real,it’s not the same as the original,
and cannot,nor ever will replace Gods masterpiece (humans).
The heart is what God uses to evaluate us,and this is what He says : (1)out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks(Mt.12:34),so whatever,you tell someone in jest or otherwise, you meant it,because God never lies.
(2) to love God, it has to be with your whole heart.(Luke 10:27). And ,obedience,to His word, is how you show that you do,Jesus was obedient.
(3)out of the heart comes evil thoughts(Mt.15:19),including bitterness(Pr.14:10), deceit,and wickedness (Jer.17:9). However,there is a cure for the heart,just ask God to fix it,and He will,in Ezekiel 11:19-21 says,”And I will give them one heart,and I will put a new spirit within you,and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh,and will give them a heart of flesh,that they may walk in my statutes,and keep mine ordinances, and do them,and they shall be my people,and I will be their God. But as for them whose heart walkers after the heart of their detestable things and their abominations, I will recompense their way upon their own heads,saith the Lord God. King David didn’t try to fix his own heart,he ask the Lord in Psalms 51:10,”Create in me a clean heart, O God,and renew a steadfast spirit within me”,and again in Psalms 139:23-24 he ask the Lord,”Search me,O God,and know my heart,try me,and know my thoughts, and see if there be any wicked way in me,and lead me in the way everlasting” .This should be everyone’s prayer daily.
However, Jesus came and said,’ don’t let your heart be troubled’ (John.14:1 &27),He said,’ it can be purified (James.4:8)’, So is it ok for Him to live in your heart(Eph.3:17). Listen God created the heart to control the whole body,so why not give it back to Him,so He can be in control of your whole life,now and forever. Trust me it’s for your own good.
