WHAT’S YOUR PLANS FOR THE NEW YEAR 🤔. Are you consulting with God first. Here is what God says:
“A man’s heart deviseth his way: But the LORD directeth his steps.”(Proverbs 16:9 KJV).
“There are many devices in a man’s heart; Nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.” (Proverbs 19:21 KJV).
Why is it good to consult God first? Because, says in Isaiah 55:8-9 NKJV :
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.”
However, in Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV God says:
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. “
Then ,Proverbs 3:5-7 NKJV tells us to:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil.
“whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.” But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.”(James 4:14-17 NKJV).
DON’T GO INTO THE NEW YEAR,WITHOUT ACKNOWLEDGING GOD FIRST.
Isaiah 43:18-19
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
Philippians 3:13-14 KJV
“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, [14] I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
LET’S PRAY 🙏🏽 …
HEAVENLY FATHER, GOD AND FATHER OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.
Today is,the final Sunday morning of the year.
As we stand in this “in-between” space, reflecting on the 365 days of 2025 and looking toward the unknown of 2026, it is a time for both deep gratitude and sacred surrender.
On this final Sunday of 2025, we come before You with hearts full of reflection. We pause in the stillness of this winter morning to acknowledge that every breath we have drawn this year has been a gift from Your hand.
Lord, we thank You for the victories we celebrated in 2025—the moments of unexpected joy, the prayers answered, and the grace that carried us through the seasons. We also bring to You the sorrows of this past year—the losses we endured, the doors that closed, and the “dry places” where we felt weary. We thank You that even in the wilderness, You were our Waymaker.
As the calendar turns, help us to release the weights we were never meant to carry. We lay down the regrets, the “what-ifs,” and the mistakes of 2025 at the foot of the cross. Wash us clean with Your mercy, which is new every single morning.
We pray for the year ahead. In a world that often feels uncertain, we anchor our hope in Your unchanging character. As we prepare to enter 2026, give us “eyes to perceive” the new things You are already doing. May Your Spirit guide our steps, protect our families, and use our lives to bring light to those still walking in darkness.
Thank You for being the Alpha and the Omega—the Beginning and the End. We entrust our past, our present, and our future into Your faithful hands.
IN THE ALMIGHTY NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, WE PRAY,AMEN.
“Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.”[Jude : 24-25 KJV].
