BUILDING UP YOUR FAITH

THE BIG FIVE OF FAITH

Hebrews 11:1; NKJV CLEARLY SAYS:
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

SO WHAT ARE THE BIG FIVE OF FAITH?

HEAR THE WORD

Job 13:17 KJV
Hear diligently my speech, And my declaration with your ears.

Romans 10:17 NKJV
“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

John 10:27-28 KJV
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: [28] and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

BELIEVE THE WORD
John 3:16-18 NKJV
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. [17] For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. [18] “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Hebrews 11:6 KJV
” But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

RECEIVE THE WORD
I Thessalonians 2:13 NKJV
” For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe.

SPEAK THE WORD

Why we must speak faith filled words?

Isaiah 55:11 KJV
” so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”

Hebrews 4:12 KJV
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

Proverbs 18:21 NKJV
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.

Matthew 8:8 KJV
The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

2 Corinthians 4:13 NKJV
And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak,
Job 22:28 KJV
[28] Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: And the light shall shine upon thy ways.

Psalm 118:17, 24 KJV
I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of the LORD.
[24] This is the day which the LORD hath made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.

ACT UPON,OR DO THE
WORD.
James 1:22-25 NKJV
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. [23] For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; [24] for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. [25] But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

James 2:17-24 NKJV
Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. [18] But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. [19] You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! [20] But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? [21] Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? [22] Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? [23] And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. [24] You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.

FINALLY:
Hebrews 3:15 KJV
” while it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts,…

*Jude 1:24-25 NKJV
” Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,  To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen.”
