“But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him. Therefore, comfort each other and edify one another, just as you are also doing. And we urge you, brethren, to recognize those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. Be at peace among yourselves. Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, and be patient with all. See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” ( 1 Thessalonians 5: 8-18 NKJV)
“ Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.” ( Hebrews 10:22-27 NKJV).
My 🙏🏽 Prayer… Dear Heavenly Father,
As the sun rises on this beautiful Sunday, we come before You with grateful hearts. Thank You for the gift of life, for the blessings of family and friends, and for the opportunities of this new day. We pause to reflect on Your love and mercy, grateful for Your presence in our lives.
Lord, we ask for Your guidance in all our endeavors. Help us to seek Your wisdom in our decisions and to find strength in our challenges. May we carry Your light into the world, spreading kindness and compassion to those around us.
We pray for healing—physical, emotional, and spiritual. Comfort those who are suffering, whether from illness, loss, or loneliness. Bring peace to those in turmoil and hope to the hopeless. May Your healing touch renew their spirits and restore their bodies.
As we gather in community today, unite our hearts in love and understanding. Help us to support one another, celebrating our joys and bearing each other’s burdens. May our words and actions reflect Your grace and build a stronger, more compassionate community.
We also pray for our leaders and those in authority. Grant them wisdom, discernment, and integrity as they make decisions that affect our lives. Help them to lead with justice and mercy, always putting the needs of others before their own.
Lord, let us remember those less fortunate than ourselves. Inspire us to serve others and to act as stewards of Your creation. May our compassion extend beyond our circle, touching the lives of those who are marginalized and in need.
On this Sunday, may we find renewal in our spirits, a deepened sense of purpose, and a commitment to live out our faith in action. Fill our hearts with joy and gratitude as we embrace the week ahead. IN JESUS’S NAME I PRAY WITH THANKSGIVING. AMEN.
