The Importance of Living by FAITH
” But without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”( Hebrews 11:6 NKJV).
•Four times, God said in the Bible, “The JUST shall live by FAITH”
“Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith.” (Habakkuk 2:4 NKJV).
” For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” (Romans 1:17 NKJV).
” But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.”( Galatians 3:11 NKJV).
” Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.” (Hebrews 10:38 NKJV).
•The word JUST in scripture means justified ( just as if we have never sinned). It also means RIGHTEOUS. REMEMBER:
•It is impossible to please God without faith, Hebrews 11:6.
•It doesn’t take any FAITH to live unholy and unrighteous, but it takes FAITH in Christ Jesus to live HOLY and RIGHTEOUS. Why?
Galatians 2:16 says,
Knowing that a man is not justified (or made righteous) by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ… TO LIVE BY FAITH, WE MUST.
”… looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:2 NKJV).
” I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”(Galatians 2:20 NKJV).
”… above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.”( Ephesians 6:16 NKJV).
” But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,
…Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen.”[Jude 1: 20,24 & 25 NKJV].
•You are righteous, justified, sanctified and holy because you live by the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ, and His redemptive work for us.
Blessed you are and blessed you will always be and to God be all the glory. Amen!
