FLESH VS THE SPIRIT

” So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. ” (Romans 8:8‭-‬17 NKJV).

“Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Matthew 26:41 NKJV).

” I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.” ( Galatians 5:16‭-‬26 NKJV).

When we accept Christ as our Lord and Savior, our flesh becomes a servant of our righteousness in Christ. Look at what Paul tells us in Romans 6:19 : “I put this in human terms because you are weak in your natural selves. Just as you used to offer the parts of your body in slavery to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer them in slavery to righteousness leading to holiness”.

“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For he who has died has been freed from sin.

Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. ” (Romans 6:1‭-‬14 NKJV).

The question that the Holy Spirit has for todays believers is? Are you living your life in the spirit or the flesh? I pray that you will remember that you are raised with Him. As Romans 6:4 tells us “We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” HE HAS RISEN , IS RISEN INDEED! And so are we His believers and followers.

“Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen.”
[Jude 1:24‭-‬25 NKJV].

THE UNBELIEVING HEART.

WHAT KIND OF HEART DO YOU HAVE ? BELIEVEING OR UNBELIEVING.

“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I, the LORD, search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.” ( Jeremiah 17:9‭-‬10 KJV).

“Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end, while it is said: “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.” For who, having heard, rebelled? Indeed, was it not all who came out of Egypt, led by Moses? Now with whom was He angry forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness? And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who did not obey? So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.” (Hebrews 3:12‭-‬19 NKJV).

“Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” ( Matthew 12:34‭-‬37 NKJV).

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, NEITHER SHALL ANY MAN PLUCK THEM OUT OF MY HAND. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. [John 10:27‭-‬29 KJV].

“Oh come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the Lord is the great God, And the great King above all gods. In His hand are the deep places of the earth; The heights of the hills are His also. The sea is His, for He made it; And His hands formed the dry land. Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. For He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture, And the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice: “Do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, As in the day of trial in the wilderness, When your fathers tested Me; They tried Me, though they saw My work. For forty years I was grieved with that generation, And said, ‘It is a people who go astray in their hearts, And they do not know My ways.’ So I swore in My wrath, ‘They shall not enter My rest.’ ” (Psalms 95:1‭-‬11 NKJV).

“Now, therefore,” says the Lord, “Turn to Me with all your heart, With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.” So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm.
(Joel 2:12‭-‬13 NKJV).

” …again He designates a certain day, saying in David, “Today,” after such a long time, as it has been said: “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts.” (Hebrews 4:7 NKJV).

Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen.
[Jude 1:24‭-‬25 NKJV].

PRINCIPLES OF GOD’S WORD.

Reasons for Studying God’s Word
2 Timothy 2:15 tells us to :
Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Jesus answered and said, “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4)
•Why study God’s Word?

  1. God said to do it, plus it shows our love, commitment and obedience to Him.
  2. God wants all His Children to be learned and scholarly in His Word.
3.The Word of God is the basis by which we know God.
4.The Word of God is our instruction manual for living.
  3. The Word of God is infallible, and the only reliable source about the past, present and the future.
  4. The Word of God is fully loaded with spiritual sustenance and nutrients and all that we need that pertains to life and Godliness.

Study God’s Word
(Hebrews 5:12-14 AMP) says,to the so called seasoned Christians or believers:
For even though by this time you ought to be teaching others, you actually need someone to teach you over again the very first principles of God’s Word. You have come to need milk, not solid food. For everyone who continues to feed on milk is obviously inexperienced and unskilled in the doctrine of righteousness (of conformity to the divine will in purpose, thought, and action), for he is a mere infant [not able to talk yet]!
But solid food is for full-grown men, for those whose senses and mental faculties are trained by practice to discriminate and distinguish between what is morally good and noble and what is evil and contrary either to divine or human law.
•Ignorance to God’s Word is a liability and disadvantageous.
•The Word of God is the manual to live the life of God. As food is to your physical body so is the Word of God to your life, spirit, soul and mind.
•Make God’s Word your daily study.

God tells us in Isaiah 55:11 AMP :
…My WORD goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void (without producing any effect or change) but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
+God’s Word has to do what He said it will do.

+God wants us to experience His Word every day of our lives.
+We must give the Word of God the Highest Regard and Reverence. God and His Word are ONE.
+Disregard, Irreverence, and lack of faith in God’s Word are the reasons why many do not experience the fulfillment of God’s Word in our lives.
+Going forward, let us give the highest Regard, Reverence, and Honor to God’s Word. AMEN!!!
•Continue to let the WORD of God be the standard for our lives. Always LOVING others like Christ Jesus loves us while keeping our faith, trust, and confidence in Him.
•BLESSED you are and BLESSED you will always be and to God be all the GLORY. Amen

Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen.
[Jude 1:24‭-‬25 NKJV]

HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT AND FREE.

God Gives All Things Freely by His Grace
Romans 8:32 says this :
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also FREELY GIVEN US ALL THINGS?
However, 1 Corinthians 2:12 tells us that:
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been FREELY GIVEN to us by God.
2 Peter 1:3 confirmed to us that:
His divine power has GIVEN TO US ALL THINGS that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,
+Be careful NOT to buy the things that are FREELY GIVEN to us by God.
+The things that are FREELY GIVEN to us by God are only obtain by walking in Love, Truth, Holiness, Righteousness and Faith, and ALL by His Grace.

Romans 8:2 says,
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me FREE from The Law of Sin and Death.

1 Have we recognized the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus.

2 Have we recognized that we are in Christ Jesus, we see this also in 2 Corinthians 5:17.

3 Have we recognized that the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made us Free from the Law of Sin and Death.

+This means that SIN and DEATH cannot have it’s way with us as so many supposed or thought.
+In other words sin cannot make us sin, and death cannot make you die.
+In Christ Jesus we have power over sin and death.
+In Acts 17:28 In Him we Live, Move and Have our Being.
+It is not death that makes a decision for us to die. It is God, and God does not use sickness and disease to take the lives of His people. That’s what what the spirit of death does.

“And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” (II Corinthians 12:7‭-‬10 NKJV).

+God just simply take His people peacefully, gracefully and lovingly when He is ready for them.
+Hallelujah and Amen!
•Continue to let the WORD of God be the standard for our lives. Always LOVING others like Christ Jesus loves us while keeping our Faith, Trust and Confidence in Him.
•BLESSED we are and BLESSED we will always be and to God be all the GLORY. Amen!!!

“Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen.” [Jude 1:24‭-‬25 NKJV].

JESUS IS STILL OUR REDEEMER.

Christ our Redeemer
1Pet 1:18-19 Christ is our Redeemer and He has redeemed us with His blood.
Gal 3:13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us…
Ps 103:4 The Lord redeems our lives from destruction.
Job 19:25 For I know that my redeemer lives, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
•The Lord Jesus Christ is our Redeemer. He has delivered us from sin and all the consequences from sin by means of His sacrificial death on the cross and His shed blood (His Redemptive Work).
•As the redeemed people of God in Christ Jesus we have a renewed life and eternal life. We have available to us in Christ healing, deliverance, protection, provision, prosperity, godly authority and supernatural power.
•All that we have given up and have lost for Christ will be restored to us. Christ our Lord is our Redeemer.
Mark 10:30 But you shall receive an hundredfold now in this time…
(Joel 2:25 ERV) …I will pay you back for those years of trouble.

•Christ in you is always greater than all that you will ever go through.
Romans 8:33-35
Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God who justifies.
Who is he that condemns?
•The devil will try but he has no power to condemn you. Only God does and God will never condemn you. There is therefore now no condemnation to then who are in Christ Jesus…
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
•No one can, but the devil is dumb enough to try.

  • The devil will often try to test you in many different ways to see where he can enter into your life. The devil is all about lying, stealing, killing and destroying.
•But thanks be unto God that Jesus came into our lives that we might have the good life and have it more abundantly.
    Romans 8:31
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? (No one!)
•The devil is defeated and he can never come out of his defeat.
•Yes! Through the redemptive work of Christ the devil is permanently defeated.
+++Blessed you are and blessed you will always be and to God be all the glory. Amen!
  • Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen. [Jude 1:24‭-‬25 NKJV]
