GOD’S WORD HAS POWER

​The Power of God’s Word in us. 

1Thess 2:13                    

For this cause we also thank God without ceasing, because, when all of you received the Word of God which all of you heard of us, all of you received it not as the word of men, but as it is in TRUTH, the WORD of GOD, which EFFECTUALLY WORKS also in you who BELIEVE. 

Effectual: capable of producing all intents and purposes. 

(Heb 4:12 AMP)

For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power making it active, operative, energizing, and effective…

•The WORD of God in us is Alive, Active, Operative, Energizing and Effective. It is capable of producing all the intents and purposes of God  in us and through us. 

•When we take man made medication we have no issues expecting the intents and purposes that medication is supposed to produce. 

•How much more then shall we expect the Word of God to produce in us the intents and purposes of God in our lives. 

•Remember what Jesus said in Matthew 4:4. Man shall not live by bread alone but by every Word proceeds of the Mouth of God. 

“The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream; And he who has My word, let him speak My word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat?” says the Lord . “ Is not My word like a fire?” says the Lord , “And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces? “Therefore behold, I am against the prophets,” says the Lord , “who steal My words every one from his neighbor. Behold, I am  against the prophets,” says the Lord , “who use their tongues and say, ‘He says.’ Behold, I am against those who prophesy false dreams,” says the Lord , “and tell them, and cause My people to err by their lies and by their recklessness. Yet I did not send them or command them; therefore they shall not profit this people at all,” says the Lord . “So when these people or the prophet or the priest ask you, saying, ‘What is the oracle of the Lord ?’ you shall then say to them, ‘What oracle?’ I will even forsake you,” says the Lord . “And as  for the prophet and the priest and the people who say, ‘The oracle of the Lord !’ I will even punish that man and his house. Thus every one of you shall say to his neighbor, and every one to his brother, ‘What has the Lord answered?’ and, ‘What has the Lord spoken?’ And the oracle of the Lord you shall mention no more. For every man’s word will be his oracle, for you have perverted the words of the living God, the Lord of hosts, our God. Thus you shall say to the prophet, ‘What has the Lord answered you?’ and, ‘What has the Lord spoken?’ But since you say, ‘The oracle of the Lord !’ therefore thus says the Lord : ‘Because you say this word, “The oracle of the Lord !” and I have sent to you, saying, “Do not say, ‘The oracle of the Lord !’ ” therefore behold, I, even I, will utterly forget you and forsake you, and the city that I gave you and your fathers, and will  cast  you out of My presence. And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten.’ ”[Jeremiah 23:28‭-‬40]

+++Let the Word of God be the standard for your life. Blessed you are and blessed you will always be and to God be all the glory. Amen!

SIN IS SIN

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”(Romans 6:23).

What is SIN?
Sin is:
-anything that is an offense to God.
-anything that displeases God.
-all unrighteous; to miss the mark; to err; to trespass.
-disobedience to God, His Word, His Will and His Purpose. Sin leads to more sin,which increases doubts, fear, stress, worries, anxiety, and the list goes on.

The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself. “But if a wicked man turns from all his sins which he has committed, keeps all My statutes, and does what is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. None of the transgressions which he has committed shall be remembered against him; because of the righteousness which he has done, he shall live. Do I have any pleasure at all that the wicked should die?” says the Lord God , “ and not that he should turn from his ways and live? “But when a righteous man turns away from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and does according to all the abominations that the wicked man does, shall he live? All the righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; because of the unfaithfulness of which he is guilty and the sin which he has committed, because of them he shall die. “Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not fair.’ Hear now, O house of Israel, is it not My way which is fair, and your ways which are not fair? When a righteous man turns away from his righteousness, commits iniquity, and dies in it, it is because of the iniquity which he has done that he dies. Again, when a wicked man turns away from the wickedness which he committed, and does what is lawful and right, he preserves himself alive. Because he considers and turns away from all the transgressions which he committed, he shall surely live; he shall not die.[Ezekiel 18:20‭-‬28]

LISTEN 

Romans 3:23 says,
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
In Ezekiel 18:4 God informs us,by saying, Behold, all souls are mine; …the soul that SINS, it shall die.
And He also says,
” Why should a living man complain, A man for the punishment of his sins? Let us search out and examine our ways, And turn back to the Lord ; Let us lift our hearts and hands To God in heaven. We have transgressed and rebelled; You have not pardoned. You have covered Yourself with anger And pursued us; You have slain and not pitied. You have covered Yourself with a cloud, That prayer should not pass through” {Lamentations 3:39-44}.

REMEDY FOR SIN
1 John 1:9
If we confess our SINS, he is faithful and just to forgive us our SINS, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

” If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place. For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually,”  { 2 Chronicles 7:14-16}

…“But if a wicked man turns from all his sins which he has committed, keeps all My statutes, and does what is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. None of the transgressions which he has committed shall be remembered against him; because of the righteousness which he has done, he shall live. Do I have any pleasure at all that the wicked should die?” says the Lord God, “and not that he should turn from his ways and live?
{Ezekiel 18:21-23}.

“I acknowledged my sin to You, And my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” And You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah
{Psalms 32:5 }. I could go on and on, but the key thing is to confess, and live right for God.

Hebrews 12:14
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
+Be determined to live free from SIN.  Phil 2:13 For it is God who works in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

IT’S  THE  GOD IN YOU

​Galatians 2:20 

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me…

+++Think about this, Christ lives in you. How? Through the Holy Spirit. 

I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, And those who  are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.{Galatians 5:16‭-‬22‭, ‬24‭-‬26}

” What? know all of you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which all of you have of God, and all of you are not your own?  For all of you are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s. 1 Corinthians6:19-20

+++The Holy Spirit is in you so Christ can live through you. Remember you were crucified (died) with Christ when He died on the cross. Your newness of life now is all about Christ. When you think it’s in His mind (you have the mind of Christ). When you speak, it’s His Words which is in your heart. When you act it’s In His strength and the Power of His Might.

Philippians 2:13 

For it is God which works in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. 

+++Remember you have laid down (sacrificed) your life in Christ. Now the life you live is for Christ and His glory.

+++Blessed you are and blessed you will always be and to God be all the glory. Amen!

SUCH A AWESOME  GOD  

​+++Our God is Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent and is from everlasting to everlasting (without beginning and without end). He is beyond Awesome, beyond Description and beyond Comprehension. There is none like Him. He alone is God and besides Him (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) there is no other.

+++God argues with no one because He is always right.

+++God is the easiest Person to love because He is perfect in every way.

+++God is the easiest Person to trust because cannot lie (Titus 1:2).

+++Personally we should have no problems with God at all, (can I get a amen!).

+++When God has total control of our lives, nothing will ever get out of control.

+++Continuing to love and trust God with all your heart, (Mark 12:30; Proverb 3:5-6).

+++Blessed we are and blessed we will always be and to God be all the glory. Amen!

SACRIFICIAL LOVE

​Is giving  flowers,chocolate , and jewelry  demonstration  of  true love,or a substitute  or  pacifier  of our greed for material  things with no substance. 

Loving with SACRIFICE is the demonstration of true love,which  is  not reserved  for just one day.

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to  be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us. If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.(1 John 4:7‭-‬11‭, ‬16‭-‬21)

“Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends”.{John 15:13}.

+God did not call us for us to make sure that others love us, but instead He called us to make sure that we love everyone. 

Matthew 5:44 

But I say unto you, LOVE your enemies, BLESS them that curse you, DO GOOD to them that hate you, and PRAY for them who despitefully use you, and persecute you. 

John 13:34 

A new commandment I give unto you, That you LOVE one another; as I have LOVED you, that you also LOVE one another. 

+You have SACRIFICIALLY given from your HEART LOVE, CARES, and CONCERNS to others. Your LOVE of COMPASSION was utilized by others to the maximum. 

+You weren’t thanked and you got no appreciation.  

+Don’t feel bad about it. You have done a wonderful thing in the sight of the Lord. God knows all things and He sees all things. 

Revelations 2:19 

I know your works, and LOVE, and service, and faith, and your patience…

Ruth 2:12 

The LORD RECOMPENSE your work, and a FULL REWARD be given you of the LORD God…

•Continue to let the WORD of God be the standard for your life. Always LOVING others like Christ Jesus loves us while keeping our faith, trust and confidence in Him.

WHO DO YOU TRUST  

It’s  sad when  people  put their trust in a politician , and other  folks  instead  of  GOD . BUT , 

“Thus says the Lord : “Cursed is the man who trusts in man And makes flesh his strength, Whose heart departs from the Lord . For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, And shall not see when good comes, But shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, In a salt land which  is not inhabited. “Blessed  is the man who trusts in the Lord , And whose hope is the Lord . For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit. “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it? I, the Lord , search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings”(Jeremiah 17:5‭-‬10).

“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the Lord our God”.(Psalms 20:7)

LISTEN

The Lord  is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? The Lord is for me among those who help me; Therefore I shall see my  desire on those who hate me. It  is better to trust in the Lord Than to put confidence in man. It  is better to trust in the Lord Than to put confidence in princes.(Psalms 118:6‭-‬9)

God’s advice  

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones” [Proverbs 3:5‭-‬8]

Trust in the Lord , and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord , And He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord , Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday. Rest in the Lord , and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret— it only causes harm. For evildoers shall be cut off; But those who wait on the Lord , They shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while and the wicked shall  be no more; Indeed, you will look carefully for his place, But it shall  be no more. But the meek shall inherit the earth, And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. The wicked plots against the just, And gnashes at him with his teeth. The Lord laughs at him, For He sees that his day is coming. The wicked have drawn the sword And have bent their bow, To cast down the poor and needy, To slay those who are of upright conduct. Their sword shall enter their own heart, And their bows shall be broken. A little that a righteous man has Is better than the riches of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, But the Lord upholds the righteous. The Lord knows the days of the upright, And their inheritance shall be forever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time, And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied. But the wicked shall perish; And the enemies of the Lord , Like the splendor of the meadows, shall vanish. Into smoke they shall vanish away. The wicked borrows and does not repay, But the righteous shows mercy and gives. For those blessed by Him shall inherit the earth, But those cursed by Him shall be cut off. The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord , And He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the Lord upholds him  with His hand. I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread. He  is ever merciful, and lends; And his descendants are blessed. Depart from evil, and do good; And dwell forevermore. For the Lord loves justice, And does not forsake His saints; They are preserved forever, But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off. The righteous shall inherit the land, And dwell in it forever. The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom, And his tongue talks of justice. The law of his God is in his heart; None of his steps shall slide. The wicked watches the righteous, And seeks to slay him. The Lord  will not leave him in his hand, Nor condemn him when he is judged. Wait on the Lord , And keep His way, And He shall exalt you to inherit the land; When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it. I have seen the wicked in great power, And spreading himself like a native green tree. Yet he passed away, and behold, he was no more; Indeed I sought him, but he could not be found. Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright; For the future of that man is peace. But the transgressors shall be destroyed together; The future of the wicked shall be cut off. But the salvation of the righteous is from the Lord ; He  is their strength in the time of trouble. And the Lord shall help them and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, And save them, Because they trust in Him.[Psalms 37:3‭-‬40]

PRINCIPLES OF GIVING 

​Fundamental Principles of the Word of God stands sure , true,and forever . 

Principle: is a fundamental truth that serves as the foundation for beliefs and behaviors. 

-Anything you want to gain in life, you must  give towards it.

-A desire to receive without giving and a desire to reap without sowing is irrational thinking, selfish desire and covetousness. 

Galatians 6:7 

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap. 

Luke 6:38 says,

“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running  over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that all of you mete likewise it shall be measured to you again”. 

 However, Ruth  2:12 puts it this way,

“The LORD recompense your work, and a full reward be given you of the LORD God of Israel, under  whose wings you are come to trust”. 

“Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full–pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back. (NLT) -Luke 6:38

Be generous with your generosity to others. Whether in word, deed, action, or object, gift others often. Yes, it’s true some people will be more grateful than others. But we really shouldn’t be giving solely to have someone indebted towards us. Your gift can be anything such as time, kind words, friendship, babysitting, transportation and on and on. The next time you find yourself clinging to something, that’s the time to give it away. It will only come right back”.

•Continue to let the WORD of God be the standard for your life. Always LOVING others like Christ Jesus loves us while keeping our faith, trust and confidence in Him. 

•BLESSED you are and BLESSED you will always be and to God be all the GLORY. Amen!

LAZINESS WILL LEAD TO POVERTY  

​Proverbs 13:4 says , 

The soul of the sluggard (lazy) desires, and has nothing: but the soul of the diligent (persistent) shall be made fat (abundantly supplied). 

A lazy, irresponsible and undisciplined person is not one that does nothing, but one that does what he wants, when he wants. Eventually and gradually they become dependent on others for their living. 

 Laziness, irresponsibility and undisciplined comes about through bad habits, and bad habits have short-term benefits but long-term consequences.

“But we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw from every brother who walks disorderly and not according to the tradition which he received from us. For you yourselves know how you ought to follow us, for we were not disorderly among you; nor did we eat anyone’s bread free of charge, but worked with labor and toil night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, not because we do not have authority, but to make ourselves an example of how you should follow us. For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat. For we hear that there are some who walk among you in a disorderly manner, not working at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are such we command and exhort through our Lord Jesus Christ that they work in quietness and eat their own bread. But as  for you, brethren, do not grow weary in doing good. And if anyone does not obey our word in this epistle, note that person and do not keep company with him, that he may be ashamed. Yet do not count him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother. Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all”.{2 Thessalonians 3:6‭-‬16}

In Matthew CH-25, the parable of the talents, the Lord took account of His servants. He called the servant that did nothing wicked and slothful (lazy). The Lord associates Laziness with Wickedness. The Wicked will always be punished. 

Remember the Lord is well pleased with servants and stewards who are faithful, diligent and wise.

Continuing to show consistency and diligence in your prayers, church attendance, tithings, in your work at home, school and on the the job, etc.

Empower yourself 

​”But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. We  are  hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we  are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed— always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. So then death is working in us, but life in you. And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak, knowing that He who raised up the Lord Jesus will also raise us up with Jesus, and will present us with you. For all things are for your sakes, that grace, having spread through the many, may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God. Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal”.{2 Corinthians 4:7‭-‬18}

Accepting that life is challenging is a given.  Understanding that life is always going to throw you a curve ball does not mean that you stand by while the people most important to you treat you poorly.  That is called settling.  You are betraying yourself when you accept poor behavior.  You accept poor behavior because you tell yourself “that’s just how mama is and always will be” or ” they really don’t mean any harm”.  Believe it or not, it does cause harm. Each day that you settle and accept poor behavior towards you from your spouse, partner, friend, co-worker or whomever, it slowly chips away at who you are.  It chips away at your soul like a cancer, and if multiple people are constantly chipping away then slowly you will find that your soul has nothing left.  You have that numb feeling of indifference in your heart.
You know it’s happening.  It’s those days when you feel like crying and you have no idea why. Those days when you feel like you gave everything of yourself and you have nothing left to give.  It’s those days when you see the text messages coming in yet you don’t want to reply.  Or even those days when you are out with your friends or having a quiet night with your lover yet you still feel empty.  
There comes a time when you have to feed and replenish your soul.  You pray to heal the person mistreating you and yet nothing seems to change. It may seem as if your prayers are answered when they treat you well for a couple days but then it’s right back to the same stuff.  I challenge you to pray for your own strength and encouragement to make the changes you need to replenish your soul. Pray to gain insight and clarity so you can overcome whatever the fear is that is rendering you powerless to remove yourself from the people chipping away at your soul.  It is not selfish to take care of yourself and your needs.  You can no longer betray yourself.
It is time to take action without fear of judgement but with empowerment. As always, the choice is yours.
