FIGHTING TEMPTATIONS

Temptation is solicitation to do evil or being enticed to do wrong. Why is it so difficult to resist or fight temptations? Because the devil makes it so sweet, enticing, and irresistible, but in spite of all that .You know the difference between right and wrong? You know that when you succumb to it, that it is wrong, yet you boldly go ahead with no love, respect, regard or reverence for God. Did you know that, “Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love Him. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God; for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man; But every man is tempted when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin; and sin when it is finished, bringeth forth death.” – James 1:12-15  Remember that the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God leads to eternal life through Jesus Christ, this we see in Romans 6:23.

To fight temptations there are a few things we must do, first we do as David said in Psalms 119:9-11, “How can a person keep his way pure? By living according to your word, with my whole heart I have sought you; Oh let me not wonder from your commandments; Thy word have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against thee.”  Second, is Romans 12:1-2, “Present your bodies as a living sacrifice unto God, which is your reasonable service; and to not be conformed to this world, but be ye transformed, by the renewing of your mind.” Thirdly, we need to “Cast down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. “ – 2 Corinthians 10:5 Remember God does not entice or encourage anyone to do wrong, so you know it’s the devil, and you don’t need a degree to figure that one out.

One thing for sure is that, “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; But God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.” – 1 Corinthians 10:13 If you take the escape hatch God gave you then, you will be liberated, and you will not fall to the enemies tactics and devises to bring you down. The fifth thing you must know is that if you, “Submit yourselves, therefore, to God; Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you, cleanse your hands, ye sinners, and purify your hearts, ye double-minded.” – James 4:7-8 We have no excuses to fall into temptation, because Jesus made us more than conquerors, and He defeated the devils attempts to lead him into temptation by quoting the scriptures and letting him know what the written word says and means (Luke 4:1-12). Also in Luke 10:19, Jesus gave us the power and authority to tread upon serpents, scorpions, and all the power of the enemy. So there is no excuse.

For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are yet without sin; So let us come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:15-16). God says, “Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth; Behold I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.” – Revelation 3:10-11 One of my favorites was what He told Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:9, “…’My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore, most gladly I would rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” Then Psalm 91:1 tells us that, “He who dwells in the secret place of the most high, shall abide under the shadow or the almighty…” That’s just a few of ways to fight temptation, the Bible is full of many other  ways, it is your duty to find them and be a overcomer.

You will have difficulties fighting temptations if you are not a child of God, and sold out to Jesus all the way, because Jesus is our perfect example. Jesus did it so we can do it also. Once you are in a relationship with God through Jesus Christ you will overcome anything, why don’t you give Him a chance today by going to the top of this blog, clicking on to the salvation page, then following the instructions. It will be the best decision you ever make. God’s word is the best weapon to use, that’s why Jesus used it, spoke it, and was victorious.

COMFORT IN PROMISES

People like to say that a promise is a comfort to a fool, but the question is, who is making the promise? And the only way you would be a fool is if you say there is no God. However, the fact of the matter is that God never lies; Numbers 23:19-20 and Hebrews 6:18 tells us this. But the best part that gives us blessed assurance is 2 Peter 3:9 which says that God is not slack concerning His promises. 2 Corinthians 1:2 tells us that all His promises are yea, and in Him, amen.

One of the greatest promises Jesus made to us is located in John 14 where he started out by assuring us not to be troubled in our hearts, but if we trust God, we should trust in Him, and in God’s house are many mansions and He has gone to prepare or construct it so that we would love it. And that one day He will come and get us to go and really enjoy the finer and best things in life. Like eternal life; which includes no sickness diseases or death.

In John 14:6 Jesus assured us that He is the only way, the truth and the life, and no one can go to God without going through Him. And in 1 Timothy 2:5 we are told without a shadow of doubt that there is only one mediator between God and man and that is Jesus Christ, who is His blessed Son that He is pleased with as we read in Luke 3:22 and John 3:16-17. Make no mistake that Jesus and God’s word in the Bible are our blessed assurance that there is a God and He loves us.

Jesus didn’t just self-appoint Himself as the ultimate way, truth, life and access to God. He proved it by dying on the cross; and God resurrecting Him and became the one and only divine ultimate sacrifice for our sins as Hebrews 10:12 says.

False prophets will take us for a ride around the world, but Jesus will take us to the final destination called heaven. Which ride are you on, the heavenly or earthly ride?

False prophets will take you for a joy ride filled with false and unfulfilled promises, but Jesus will take you to the promise land where your joy will be complete.

You can put your trust and assurance in people or you can completely put them in God? Visit the Salvation page above to know more about receiving Jesus in to your heart.

KNOW THE TRUTH,AND Walk In Truth

People fail to understand,or refuse to accept the principles of Godly living, which is written and demonstrated in the Holy Bible. The Ten Commandments God’s rules and regulations for His children. The truth about how our heavenly Father, the Creator of heaven and earth, expects us to act, behave and live is in the Bible. Many people in the Bible have testified and proven that obedience to God and His statutes is conducive to prosperity of the mind, soul, body, and spirit. It is because of obedience we are rewarded with Godly, good and perfect gifts. 3 John verse 2 tells us that it is God’s desire above all things that we are prosperous and in health in everything we do, just as our soul prospers. Once we accept His perfect gifts of His Son Jesus, His love, mercy, grace, and compassion that never fails and is always available to us, then our soul becomes prosperous. He wants every aspect or part of our lives to be the same ─ prosperous.

God wants us to take care of His five fold ministers financially and otherwise when they are passing through preaching and teaching the message of God’s truth about His Son Jesus Christ and all He did so that we can be in right standing and live righteously in spirit and truth.

We Christians are displays and examples of the truth. We represent Jesus in our way of life, because He shows us the way, tells us the truth and gives us eternal life. So just as we have found the way through Jesus, we know the truth about Jesus and we have everlasting life through Jesus, which gives us the right to go boldly before the throne of grace to obtain mercy and grace. Knowing Jesus ensures that all of our needs will be met according to God’s riches in glory through Christ Jesus.

We have to tell everyone that it’s all about Jesus. Even for those who go through Him to get their prayers answered and their needs met —  it’s about Jesus. You can also be cleansed by His blood through His salvation; it’s free and all are welcome to become children of God regardless of nationality or past deeds.

3 John 11 tells us not to imitate or let bad examples influence us, but to follow and do only good. “Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.” This is so that when people speak about you they talk of God’s favor on your life through His Son Jesus. Paul says in  first Corinthians 11 verse 1, “follow me as I follow Christ.” Therefore, if your leader, pastor, bishop, etc. is not following Christ, don’t follow them.

Light dominates darkness, good always conquers evil, and salt always adds flavor.

PROOF

It’s amazing that no matter what God does people are still searching for proof of His existence, power and might. These are the same people who choose to increase their doubt instead of increasing their faith, they develop their trust and confidence in people and things instead of the God who knows them. Even some Christians or so-called Christians fall into that category; Thomas in John 20:25 was one of those that needed additional proof.

However, you choose to look at this, Jesus said in John 20:29 said, “…Because thou hast seen me, thou has believed: Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” With all the miraculous and supernatural things God has done, with all the signs and wonders, and for the many times He has delivered us from the clutches of the enemy what kind of proof, sign or wonder are you still looking for? Just think back and see that He has covered and protected you from before you were born and He laid out the plans for your life. God sent His only begotten Son to show us the way, point out the truth about Him and grant us eternal life, yet you are still searching?

Do you know where you are going if you should die today? Have you looked in the mirror of your life and seen where you are coming from and where you are going? If you like what your reflection is showing you and where you are going, then happy are you because the decision on how you live your life is all yours. I pray that what you see and like is in-line with what God has planned for you before you were born. Otherwise, you are going in the wrong direction; if it does not line up with God’s plan then it is lined up with the devils plan, which will lead to hell.

God is still performing miracles today through the Christians who follow Jesus His Son and through those who use Jesus’ name according to God’s will. Jesus’ name is above every other name; it can heal, deliver and set free those who are in bondage so that  the unbeliever can be brought or ushered into the Kingdom of God. That’s why we give God the glory, praise, honor and thanks at all times, because He is all-powerful.

Some events in life causes us to change; either to increase our faith or deplete it. However, no matter what the circumstance we know that our loving and merciful God is the same yesterday, today and forever. So, doubt your doubts by starving it and believe your beliefs by feeding it.

God will show you proof when you ask for it, but be careful you may or may not like it. Remember, that all good and perfect gifts come from our heavenly Father. Jesus, His Son, is the only proof you need to know that He exists and that His promises are true.  Therefore, is no need to harbor the fugitive called doubt in our minds. We must know that God never fails.

The offer to receive Christ into your heart is here. To receive that offer go to the Salvation page at the top of this blog and follow the instructions. If you have turned away from God, He is waiting for you to turn back to Him. Why not rededicate yourself to Him? The next step is yours.

WHO AND WHAT ARE YOU?

There are all kinds of people in the world, good, bad, evil, righteous, hateful, loving. So who are you,and what category do you fall under? What do you think about you,in comparison to what people say or think? However, the most important thing in life,is to know who God says you are,and what He says about you is what counts. Are you a person with a depraved mind? This is how the Bible describes a depraved mind, check and see if you are included or excluded?

“Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves; who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever, Amen. For this reason God gave them up to vile passions, for even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men leaving the natural use of the women, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased or depraved mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness, full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness, they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful, who knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only to do the same but also approve of those who practice them.” – Romans 1:24 – 32 Does this describe you? Then you will not escape the judgement that is to come, unless you turn from all this.

However 2 Timothy 3:1 – 9 puts it like this,

“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come; For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despiser of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of Godliness but denying its power, and from such turn away. For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith. But they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was.”

These are not my words, it is the Word of God, taken from the book of all books, the Holy Bible. So, if again this describes you it’s time for you to change your life, so you can have everlasting life, through God’s only begotten Son Jesus Christ, and be heaven bound instead of hell bound. Allow God through the Holy Spirit to change who you are,and who others say you are? Be one of the chosen, where you will be the apple ih God’s eyes, and your name inscribe in the palm of His hands, and the book of life. Know who God says you are.

JUST ASK ,then give thanks while you wait

Most of us don’t receive anything because we don’t ask. Matthew 7:7 and Luke 11:9 tells us to ask and it shall be given. However, it’s how you ask and who you ask and what name you use. How you ask is based on your faith and trust in God that He can do as Ephesians 3:20 tells us, “Exceedingly and abundantly above all we ask or think.” Who you ask is important, if you ask God who is the supplier of all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus as Philippians 4:19 suggests then you will get what you ask for. The third factor is whose name did you use. The name which is above every name, Jesus. He gave us permission to use His name in John 14:13 and John 15:16.

However, the key to asking and receiving have a whole lot to do with your relationship with God. A relationship where you are obedient to His Word, by presenting yourself to Him holy and acceptable, by not being conformed to this world but transformed by the renewing of your mind as Rom. 12:1-2 tells us. We see in 1 John 3:22 it says, “And whatsoever we ask, we receive from Him because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight,” and verse 23 tells us one of the commandment is to believe on the name of Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, and love one another. This is the way to ask and receive.

Are you confident when you ask, because 1 John 5:14-15 tells us that if we are confident that God hears us and will answer our prayer request according to His will, then we know without a doubt that our request will be granted. In Mark 10:47-52 we see the confidence of the blind man named Bartemaeus, he heard Jesus was passing by and cried out to Jesus. The most amazing thing is that He was not conformed to the world by allowing them to shut him up while he was asking for help loudly and he did not stop asking until he received what he asked for—sight to see. Because of his faith and determination to be healed on that day, he received his healing and as verse 52 tells us after he was healed, he followed Jesus.

Sadly enough why some people get healed and later, get sick again is because they forget about Jesus after they were delivered. You can’t make a promise to God and break it. Suppose He was to break His promises to us? Don’t promise to serve Him while you are in pain or your mess, and when He delivers you, you turn your back on Him as if, He is nobody. The most important ,yet difficult thing to do after you ask,is to give thanks and wait,as Philippians 4:6-8 “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything,by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your request be made known unto God. And the peace if God,which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, wherever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report,if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things”. The problem with most people is that they look at the problems and not their God,or they think on their problems and not His promises in the Bible. However,we must renew our minds as Romans 12:2 suggests. Are you ready to renew your mind, and trust God as Proverbs 3:5-6 suggest for us to trust God,acknowledge God,and don’t lean on our own understanding, and allow Him to direct our path.

If you are ready to commit completely to the Lord visit the salvation page today.

PLEASING GOD

Our priority and aim in life should be to please God.when we are willing, ready and able to obey men and not God,who is the creator of the universe and everything in it,as Psalms 24 points out to us,then our priority should be to please God. Why is it so hard for us to want to please God? When you read Ephesians 6:5-9, you would probably love the opportunity to debate about it, but God is trying to show us that if we can’t be obedient to the people who have authority over us, because of wealth or position, then how are we going to be obedient to Him who owns the persons over us and everything and everyone from earth to heaven.

If we only work hard to please our employers (or those who have authority over us) when they are watching, then are you only holy and righteous when the Pastor or another Christian is watching while behind closed doors you are a tyrant. This is what eye service and men pleasing is about. The false prophets and fake Christians who fail to realize that God never slumbers or sleep, and  that He is an omnipresent and omniscient God who is everywhere, forget that He can see their thoughts, motives, and intentions. Nothing can be hidden from God.

When you wear the name or carry the title of a Christian do it in Spirit and in truth; you praise, glorify, honor and thank Him whether someone is watching or not because He is worthy of all the praise, glory, honor, and thanks. God never looks at outward appearances like men, but He looks directly into the heart as 1 Samuel 16 verse 7 tells us. Jesus said it best in Matthew 23:27-28, “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because outwardly you appear beautiful but inwardly you are dead and unclean…”

It’s time to do everything to the glory of God and stop being hypocrites — worship God in Spirit and truth. As Paul tells us, remember that whatever we do we are doing it for God so do it with enthusiasm and God will reward us. When we do our best and give a hundred percent effort it is evidence of our devotion to God.

  • Whatever you do in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him. Colossians 3:17
  • Whether you eat or drink, whatever you do, do all to the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31). I always say, “If God doesn’t get the glory, you have no story, testimony or message.
  • Colossians 3:23 And whatever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.

WHO ARE YOU SEEKING

The Lord is good unto those who wait for Him,to the soul that seeketh Him,according to Lamentations 3:25. Therefore it is imperative that we,Seek ye the Lord while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near;Let the wicked forsake his way,and the unrighteous man his thoughts;and let him return unto the lord, and He will have mercy upon him (Isaiah 55:6-7).

Do not serve false or fake gods, that will never hear your prayers or answer them ,but seek the true and living God,and you will find Him ,only if you seek Him with all your heart and all your soul, when you are in distress, and all these things come upon you in the latter days, when you turn to the Lord your God and obey His voice;for the Lord your God is a merciful God,He will not forsake nor destroy you,nor forget the covenant of your fathers which He swore to them ( Deuteronomy 4: 28-31).

Proverbs 8:17 tells us that God loves those who love Him,and those who seek me diligently will find me.The humble shall see this and be glad;and you who seek God,your heart shall live (Psalms 69 :32);For the son of man has come to seek and save everyone who is lost,it does not matter what color, creed or nationality you are (Luke 19 :10);But without faith it is impossible to please God,for he who comes to God must believe that He is (God),and a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).

Are you interested in seeking God,go to the top of this blog, click on to the salvation page, then follow the instructions,it will be the best thing you ever seek after, and find without a problem. God is seeking you John 4:23 says,”But the hour cometh, and now is,when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth;for the Father seeketh such to worship Him.All glory, praise, honor, and thanks go to God our Heavenly Father through His son Jesus Christ for allowing me to get this message out to His children.

YOUR CREATED PURPOSE & PLACE

Everyone is created for a purpose and a place; Most people just don’t realize it or figure it out,so let me enlighten you ,or inform you that you are created for God,and Heaven is your destination. God didn’t make a mistake when He created us in His image and likeness, and the Garden of Eden was created specifically for us ,that’s why He had placed Adam and Eve in there before they sinned and got kicked out. God’s purpose or plans didn’t change, but ours did since we have so many options that the devil dangles in our face, that we sell our soul to get, while all God wants is for us to worship Him ,so that He can take us home.

Now, to get  back on the right path ,to our created purpose and place, there is only one person who can show us,and Jesus is the person, and heaven is the place, it’s a package deal ,you can’t get to God or Heaven without going through Jesus, you can’t get forgiven of your sins, if you don’t confess them. In 2 Chronicles 7:14 God says,”If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin,and will heal their land”. Are you His people? Of course you are ,John 1:12-13 specificall says,”But as many as received Him,to them gave He power to become the children of God,even to them that believe in His name;who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man,but of God”. There is no mention of color, creed,or nationality, neither fame or fortune, the statement is all inclusive, which means everyone,so if you have a problem with it then, unfortunately the love of God is not in you. But the hour cometh, and now is,when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father seeketh such to worship Him. God is a Spirit, and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.{John 4:23-24} your purpose is to worship God your creator, and to serve Him in spirit and truth,ARE YOU? You can change all that right now, to get started, just go to the top of this blog, click on to the salvation page and get started. Then allow the Holy Spirit that enters in yo lead guide and direct you for the rest of the journey.

A Thin Line

The song says,’ there is a thin line between love and hate’ which is a fact, but there is also , a thin line between a lot of other things too, like: sanity and insanity, good and evil, happy and sad, life and death, and the one I am getting to, which is the most important is righteousness and unrighteousness. Why is it a thin line? Is because the enemies job is to drive us down the wrong path which leads to death and distruction. However,Gods desire for us, is to be righteous, because being righteous eliminates all the hate, insanity, evil and sadness, because, one of the characteristics of righteousness is love.(Proverbs 10:12 ; 1 Peter 4:8)tells us,’love covers a multitude of sins’.

If we follow Gods, only begotten son; Jesus example, we will be on our way to righteous living instead of an unrighteous one.

You must understand righteousness = eternal life, once you accept Gods son (Jesus).

unrighteousness = death and eternal damnation, once you live for and accept the devils way of life.

which path are you on?  life or death the choice is yours.

Allow the God of all grace, who has called us unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, make you new, perfect, established, strengthened and settled.(1 Peter 5:10).

(John 14:6)Jesus said,’He is the way, the truth, and the life, no one goes to the father (God) except through Him (Jesus). To accept Jesus go to the top of my blog, and log on to the steps to and the salvation page and accept Him now, please don’t delay.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY, HONOR, PRAISE AND THANKS FOR USING ME TO BRING HIS MESSAGE ACROSS THE GLOBE. Amen.
