What are you seeking or desiring from God? Is it fame, fortune, healing, peace, joy, happiness, or love, etc? Are they for short-term or long-term? Are these things for temporary or long-term use and satisfaction?

It’s not bad to seek these things, but have you ever  considered seeking the Owner and Ceator of all these things; which will be beneficial for short and long-term use. God promises that if we seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, then all these things shall be added unto you [Matthew 6:33]. There is the simple answer. Luke 12:32 adds, “Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you  the Kingdom.” King David realized that the way to get God’s attention was to seek Him. In Psalm 27:4 he said, “One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple.” However, one of the main reasons David desired and sought God, is because he found out that in the presence of the Lord, there is fullness of joy, and at His right hand there are pleasures forevermore (Psalm 16:11).

So whatever is your hearts desire, why not get connected to God first then allow Him to do the rest.
